Mind Smart 2025 -3^rd Peer Educator Workshop & Valedictory Ceremony

Expressions India organized the 3rd & Final Workshop and Valedictory Ceremony of “MindSmart 2025 – The Life Skills & Wellbeing Leadership Course for Adolescent Peer Educators” on 29 August 2025 at National Bal Bhavan, New Delhi. The programme marked the culmination of a year-long initiative aimed at nurturing life skills, leadership, emotional resilience, and well-being among adolescents.

Blue Bells Group of  Schools participated in the programme under the mentorship of their visionary leader, Dr. Alka Saxena, Associate Director (Social & Emotional Learning), BBGS. Peer educators representing Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School were Aarav Gauthwal (XI C), Avneet Mishra (X B), and Dilisha Madaan (IX C) and peer educators representing Blue Bells Model School were Diyaan Agarwal (IX C), Disha Gupta (XI C) and Sambodhi (IX B).

The sessions emphasised empowering adolescents for the digital age, preventing high-risk behaviours, and integrating life skills into effective career decision-making. Peer-led role plays on coping with emotions, decision-making, peer pressure, and cyberbullying nurtured self-awareness and collective learning. Interactive activities like the Human Knot and reflective fun games further reinforced collaboration, adaptability, and problem-solving.

The Investiture Ceremony honoured peer educators for their contributions as ambassadors of wellbeing. Distinguished experts Dr. Shuchi Mathur, Senior Consultant, and Dr. Aparna Joshi, Junior Project Fellow, Manodarpan Cell, NCERT joined Dr. Jitendra Nagpal, Program Director, Expressions India, in felicitating the participants.

The workshop concluded with renewed commitment among students to carry forward the ethos of empathy, resilience, and responsible leadership within their school communities.

Back To School Series

BD Blue Bells Public School hosted its 'Back to School Series' for LKG and UKG parents on 20 September 2025.

Under the able guidance of Madam Soumya Gulati, Associate Director – Academic Development and Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools, the programme was thoughtfully designed to give parents an inside view of the school’s innovative pedagogical practices and its learner-centered approach.

The event featured sessions like 'Fun with Numbers' for LKG parents and 'READ-O-PHONICS' for UKG parents, highlighting the school's commitment to joyful learning.

A Gallery Walk displayed students' creative work, while the Health & Wellness Programme emphasized Social and Emotional Learning through interactive activities, providing parents with valuable insights into nurturing emotional intelligence and supporting their child's holistic development.

The event concluded with enthusiastic participation and appreciation for the school's academic vision.

Substance Abuse Awareness Workshop for Class XI

Blue Bells Group of Schools is dedicated to developing not only intellectual brilliance but also a sense of responsible citizenship. A thoughtful Substance Abuse Awareness Workshop for Class XI students was organized for Nasha Mukti Bharat Pakhwada, providing a strong platform for discussion, contemplation, and empowerment on September 01, 2025, in BDBBPS.

The session was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Alka Saxena, Associate Director (Social & Emotional Learning), Blue Bells Group of Schools.  

The students were informed about the signs and symptoms of Substance Abuse. The session was designed to raise awareness regarding the ill effects of substance use and enhance students' skills to make sound, healthy choices. They were apprised of various types of substances, depressants, stimulants, hallucinogens, narcotics, and inhalants, and the ways they affect physical, emotional, and social health. Red eyes, changes in mood, secrecy, and personality changes were all explained in detail as signs. Interactive exercises such as the Stress Coping Wheel and Match the Sign card game were an engaging and effective learning experience.

The reflective part motivated the students to identify positive coping mechanisms, including exercise, music, journal writing, and mindfulness. Many students also gave positive feedback, appreciating the interactive format and sharing that the session made them reflect deeply on peer pressure and self-care. Ongoing monthly sessions will continue to be conducted on various topics to further raise awareness and promote informed, healthy choices among students.

Celebrating togetherness and Fostering Meaningful Interpersonal Relationships at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School hosted Hum Tum Connect under its Health & Wellness Programme on September 04, 2025, for Middle Wing teachers, Corporate staff, and the Health & Wellness Team. It was as a warm and inspiring commemoration of togetherness. The celebration centred on the theme “Beyond Classrooms: Highlighting the significance of Interpersonal Relationships (IPR) as the cornerstone of effective collaboration and harmonious coexistence.

Dr. Alka Saxena, Associate Director (Social & Emotional Learning), BBGS, a visionary mentor and esteemed guide, is the driving force, spirit, and inspiration behind this remarkable endeavour. The celebration carried the powerful message that interpersonal skills are life’s invisible soundtrack: uniting people, strengthening bonds, and transforming challenges into opportunities.

Structured in an engaging Antakshari format, the event seamlessly integrated music, humour, and critical thinking elements. Teams with creative names such as Six Samurai, Satte Pe Satta, Eight Wonders, Office Ninjas, and Inside Out lit up the atmosphere with songs, fun, and friendship. Each round of Musical Antakshari, Celebrity Connect, and Guess the Song was crafted to nurture teamwork, trust, and mutual understanding.

Hum Tum Connect truly embodied its motto: “Heart, Friendship, and Skills – this is our true blockbuster.”

BD Blue Bells Public School Marks Hindi Diwas with Joyful Celebrations

Hindi Diwas at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School turned into a lively celebration of language, creativity, and young talent. Students from both the Pre-Primary and Primary wings brought the event to life with performances that blended tradition, enthusiasm, and originality.

The morning began with a special assembly by Class II C, setting an uplifting tone for the day. Children staged a humorous skit and a light-hearted Kavi Sammelan dedicated to Hindi, sparking laughter and rounds of applause that filled the auditorium. Their energy and playful spirit made the celebration feel warm and inclusive.

Next came an Inter-House Doh? Recitation Competition for Classes III to V. Drawing on the timeless words of Kabir, Rahim, Tulsidas, and Surdas, students recited carefully chosen couplets and reflected on their meanings. The recitations stood out for their clarity, expressive delivery, and confidence — a testament to how deeply the children had prepared.

Judges assessed participants on pronunciation, expression, memorisation, and stage presence. The results reflected the competitive yet joyful spirit of the event:

More than a commemoration, the celebration became a reminder of how language connects hearts and inspires expression. It showcased the school’s ongoing commitment to nurturing not only academic skills but also cultural appreciation and self-confidence among its students.

Teacher Day -Senior Wing

On 5 September 2025, BD Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugram, came alive with heartfelt tributes as students celebrated Teacher’s Day with enthusiasm and gratitude.  Class XII hosted the programme that reflected both creativity and sincere appreciation for the mentors who guide and inspire them every day.

The morning opened with a gracious welcome address by the School Ambassador, setting a warm tone for the celebration. The Lamp Lighting Ceremony, steeped in tradition, marked the auspicious beginning of the event.

Adding depth and meaning to the occasion, the Head Girl and Head Boy delivered an earnest speech, acknowledging the invaluable role teachers play in shaping young lives and highlighting the spirit behind Teacher’s Day.

The cultural segment of the programme offered a vibrant mix of performances — from a soulful Classical Dance “Guru Shishya: Rhythmic Steps”, to dynamic Contemporary and Bhangra dances, lively games, and a standout segment titled “Musical Studio – The Band Presentation.” Together, these acts brought colour, energy and heartfelt emotion to the stage.

The school’s Leadership Team added to the warmth of the day with words of encouragement and blessings. Among them, Dr. Cornelia Weiner, Deputy Director of School Operations, received heartfelt applause for her inspiring message, which left both teachers and students motivated and appreciated.

The event concluded with a thoughtful Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the tireless dedication of the teachers and the presence of the dignitaries. The day captured the bond between students and their mentors, a blend of respect, affection and joy that made Teacher’s Day 2025 memorable for the entire school community.

Teacher’s Day Celebrated with Warmth and Gratitude

BD Blue Bells Public School marked Teacher’s Day with enthusiasm and heartfelt appreciation, as students from Classes VI to VIII came together to host a special assembly in honour of their mentors.

The programme opened with a captivating skit on the life of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, tracing his achievements and his immense contribution to education in India. The skit, along with a thoughtfully curated documentary on his life and philosophy, offered students a chance to understand the values and ideas that continue to shape education today.

Beyond the performances, the assembly helped students reflect on the true spirit of Teacher’s Day, acknowledging and honouring their teachers’ dedication and guidance. Adding a lighter touch, fun-filled games organised especially for teachers brought smiles, laughter, and a sense of camaraderie to the celebration.

A group song dedicated to teachers became one of the highlights of the event, echoing the students’ gratitude and admiration.

Teacher Day Celebration: A Heartfelt Tribute to Teachers

The young Blue Bellians of Classes Playgroup–II, along with Radha Krishnan House (Classes III–V), came together with boundless energy and affection to honour their teachers through two beautifully curated Special Assemblies on September 04, 2025.

The celebrations unfolded like a symphony of gratitude with melodious songs that touched every heart and graceful dance performances that radiated joy and admiration. The vibrant cultural presentations filled the atmosphere with warmth, while a series of lively and engaging games added an extra sparkle of happiness, turning the occasion into an unforgettable celebration of love and respect.

The School Leadership Team lauded the students for their heartfelt expressions, applauding their creativity, sincerity, and spirit of togetherness. To crown the day with joy, every teacher received a thoughtful gift, a symbol of appreciation for their tireless dedication.

The assemblies not only celebrated the guiding lights of the school but also reflected the deep bond of reverence and affection between students and teachers, leaving behind cherished memories of a day woven with gratitude, joy, and inspiration.

Sensitization on Drug menace

Blue Bells Group of Schools Ignites Hope Grade 10 Students Take a Resounding Stand Against Drug Abuse through an Awareness Session on Peer Pressure and the Drug Menace!

An interactive sensitization session on Peer Pressure and the Drug Menace was conducted for students of grade X on August 19, 2025 in BBMS and on August 21,2025 in BDBBPS under the guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Associate Director (Social & Emotional Learning), Blue Bells Group of Schools.

The session aimed to raise awareness among students about the impact of peer pressure, its link to substance abuse, and ways to make healthy, responsible choices. The main objective of the session was to help students define and understand peer pressure, explore strategies to deal with negative peer pressure and create a personal safety net.

The session was highly engaging and activity-based. Students began by sharing their thoughts on “What comes to their mind when they hear the word peer pressure?” They also reflected on situations where peer pressure had worked positively for them, as well as times when it had a negative influence.

Through role plays, facilitators enacted real-life scenarios, followed by discussions on refusal strategies and the importance of having a safety net. Later, in groups, the students brainstormed coping strategies for different peer-pressure situations. The students were made aware about the importance of creating a safety net against the drug menace in order to provide young people, families, and communities with protective shields to help prevent substance abuse and offer support when challenges arise. A safety net will not only promote mental health awareness and stress management strategies, but also help individuals to develop resilience and confidence to handle challenges without resorting to drugs.

The session concluded with students identifying and creating their own safety circle with trusted network of people they can reach out to for support. Also, important Government Helpline numbers, information about Local NGO’S & Safety Net Nodes for Students were shared to provide guidance for students facing stress, anxiety, peer pressure, or drug-related challenges.

The session left students with clarity about the forms and effects of peer pressure, practical refusal skills to confidently say “No,” and also provided each one the ability to identify positive influences and avoid negative ones. Students were urged to take a pledge under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, and join the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan—a collective movement towards a drug-free future.

Overall, the session was an eye-opener, motivating students to stay resilient, make informed choices, and contribute towards a drug-free community.
