CALM CORNER TRAINING SESSION FOR PARENTS

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, under the aegis of Adept – A Program for Enhancing Life Skills, powered by Wellnesswise.in, has taken a meaningful step towards fostering socio-emotional learning among early learners. An interactive session was conducted with parents on Understanding Emotions, which was followed by the Introduction of the Calm Corner across pre-primary classrooms.

This Parent session was organized on April 23, 2025. The session was led by Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, along with the Health & Wellness Resource Centre Team, offering valuable insights and practical strategies to support children's emotional well-being both at school and at home.

The session was divided into two parts. In the first part Dr. Saxena emphasized how emotions influence both physical and mental well-being. This helped them to develop a deeper understanding of emotions and healthy coping strategies through hands-on activities.

The second part of the session provided insight into the purpose, benefits, and implementation of the Calm Corner within the classroom.

This thoughtfully curated space, conceptualized by our visionary leader Dr. Alka Saxena will provide children a quiet moment to relax, reflect, and manage their emotions.

The session provided parents with the opportunity to observe how the Calm Corner functions, explore the materials and techniques used in school, and understand how a similar environment can be created at home.

The parents expressed their appreciation for the initiative, and the positive feedback received was truly encouraging. This response highlights the value of collaboration between parents and school, aimed at supporting each child’s emotional development.

Yoga Day

To promote holistic well-being and the importance of mental and physical health among students, the Health & Wellness Team of the school, under the inspirational mentorship of  Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director - Health & Wellness, BBGS, organized Yoga Session for the students of the Pre-Primary and Primary Wing on May 05, 2025. 

A rejuvenating chair yoga session along with Laughter Yoga was facilitated by parent volunteers, and the school Yoga Facilitator to celebrate World Laughter Day and International Yoga Day. The session aimed to spread awareness about the benefits of yoga and laughter in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and included a series of Breathing Exercises, Rhythmic Clapping, Laughter Techniques, Deep Breathing, Neck Stretches, Shoulder Stretches, Side Bends, Leg and Foot Stretches and Aum Chanting that helped reduce stress and create a cheerful environment. Students participated actively and discovered the therapeutic effects of laughter. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, creating a vibrant and mindful atmosphere. These activities not only highlighted the importance of physical fitness but also emphasized emotional wellness, encouraging students to incorporate yoga and laughter into their daily routines. Overall, the session was highly beneficial and reinforced the school's commitment to promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Students expressed their gratitude towards the Health & Wellness team stating that they felt more relaxed and energized after attending the session.

Empezar 2025

Empezar – A Beginning-Health & Wellness Fiesta For Classes III to V  A Celebration of Love, Expression, and Emotional Wellness

In a world that constantly evolves, it is vital to ground young minds in enduring values—love, gratitude, and emotional connection. With this vision, Empezar – A Beginning, a Health & Wellness Fiesta for students of Classes III to V, was held on May 8, 2025 under the aegis of  ADEPT - A Program for Enhancing Life Skills, powered by wellnesswise.in, Aligned with Mother’s Day and themed “A Symphony of Love: Celebrating Motherhood.”

The event was conceptualized and curated under the visionary leadership of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS. The fiesta served as a mindful journey into the hearts of children, nurturing their capacity to express love in meaningful, tangible ways. The initiative embraced inclusion, offering every child a voice and a space to contribute uniquely, regardless of background or ability.

The fiesta unfolded through thoughtfully designed, age-appropriate activities that enabled students to connect with the theme while developing essential life skills. Through hands-on engagement, students poured their emotions into meaningful creations—Clay Hand Jewellery Holders (Class III), All About My Mom Booklets (Class IV), and Magnetic Planners (Class V). These expressions transcended the realm of craft, becoming soulful reflections of appreciation and empathy.

The event exemplified belongingness, empowering each child to articulate love through art, language, and design. More than a celebration, it marked the genesis of emotional literacy—an awakening to the power of heartfelt connections.

Empowering Young Minds: Study Skills Module

At Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, an enlightening Study Skills Session was conducted on April 22, 2025 for the students of Grade IX under the aegis of ADEPT – A Programme for Enhancing Life Skills, powered by wellnesswise.in and guided by the visionary mentorship of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), Blue Bells Group of Schools. With the aim to equip students with essential academic strategies and skills, the session was implemented through an interactive presentation, group discussion followed with a question & answer round, thus ensuring active participation and engagement from each student. The PQRST (Preview, Question, Read, Self-study, Test) technique was introduced to help them retain information through structured study. The students further learned effective strategies to enhance their note-taking, note-making, academic reading, and writing skills, while also discovering valuable tips for better organization and time management thus ensuring increased productivity. Students explored strategies and learned effective techniques to adapt to academic changes, understand their learning styles, and cultivate effective study habits in a supportive environment. The session helped them gain valuable insights and effectively equipped each one with essential  skills, boosting their confidence and independence in learning

Theatrix 2025 – A Dazzling Odyssey of Theatre, Passion, and Purpose

Theatrix 2025, the grand Inter-House Theatre Festival of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, unfolded on May 15 & 16, 2025, as a spectacular celebration of human emotion, artistic brilliance, and relentless commitment. With students from Classes IX to XII taking centre stage, the fest transformed the auditorium into a living canvas—where stories breathed, characters soared, and truths were unveiled.

Guided by the visionary leadership of Mrs. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development & Innovation), the festival was a testimony to the transformative power of the performing arts. The Opening Ceremony set an electrifying tone, as Ma'am formally inaugurated the event with a spirit that radiated purpose and passion. The inaugural act, Hues of Emotions, served as a stunning prologue, encapsulating the raw spectrum of human experience.

Over two days of relentless energy and theatrical magic, eight phenomenal productions took the spotlight—four in English, drawn from the timeless elegance of Victorian playwrights, and four in Hindi, boldly confronting social realities with sensitivity and courage. The four school houses—Sarojini Naidu, Kalpana Chawla, CV Raman, and Radhakrishnan—each presented one English and one Hindi play, masterfully directed and soulfully performed. The result was an explosion of creativity, with every performance echoing the core values of empathy, resilience, and social awareness.

The festival was honoured by the presence of celebrated theatre experts—Mr. Varun Kapoor, Mr. Gaurav Kumar, and Mr. Sheel Kalia—who brought their expertise, encouragement, and profound insights to the judging panel. The Closing Ceremony became a crescendo of inspiration, graced by Ms. Shefali Chopra, TEDx speaker, storyteller, and founder of SAL Tree Academy, whose stirring words ignited minds and hearts with the power of storytelling.

A dynamic group dance, a soul-stirring video montage capturing the festival’s highlights, and the much-awaited Award Ceremony rounded off the event in grand style. CV Raman House’s poignant Hindi play Vitthala earned the Best Hindi Play award, while Radhakrishnan House’s elegant rendition of An Ideal Husband was crowned Best English Play—an ode to grace, satire, and truth.

Theatrix 2025 was more than a theatre fest—it was a movement. A movement that nurtured voices, sparked dialogue, forged deep connections, and reminded us all the immense power of expression. It empowered young artists to not just perform, but to transform, leaving behind echoes of inspiration that will resonate long after the curtains fall.

MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

Radiant smiles and joyful hearts lit up the day as we celebrated the true essence of motherhood!

The Grow & Glow workshop was a heartfelt tribute to the relentless love, strength, and grace of mothers. The 90-minute transformational session, led by the dynamic Ms. Parul Kaushal — Certified Image Consultant and Grooming, Etiquette & Styling Coach — offered an empowering journey of self-discovery and confidence.

From the empowering ramp walk challenge to rejuvenating pampering zones and vibrant shopping stalls, every moment was designed to help mothers reconnect with their inner selves and rediscover their unique sparkle.

Let us continue to honour the spirit of motherhood — not just as caregivers, but as individuals who inspire, nurture, and shine in every role they embrace.

Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti

Commemorating the Timeless Legacy of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore On May 9, 2025, the young visionaries of C.V. Raman House (Classes III to V) paid a heartfelt tribute to Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore on his 164th birth anniversary through a thoughtfully curated Special Assembly.

The presentation was a rich tapestry of reflections and performances that brought to life the multifaceted genius of Tagore — poet, philosopher, artist, and visionary. The students eloquently shared insights into his pioneering contributions to literature, education, and India’s cultural awakening. They explored his role in the freedom movement, his clarion call for self-reliance through the timeless anthem Ekla Chalo Re, the establishment of Shantiniketan as a hub of holistic education, and the spiritual depth of Geetanjali, which earned him the Nobel Prize.

In an evocative homage to Tagore’s belief in music and dance as the purest forms of self-expression, the students presented a soulful medley of his songs and a graceful dance performance inspired by his artistic ethos.

The School Leadership Team lauded the students for their passionate and creative tribute and urged them to imbibe the timeless values of originality, intellectual curiosity, and cultural pride — the very ideals Tagore cherished and lived by.

Voicing Brilliance: Celebrating Expressions Beyond Boundaries

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School illuminated the stage of Voicing Expressions 2.0, an Inter-School Competition hosted by CCA School, Gurugram, with creativity, confidence, and collaboration at its core.

Our students participated across diverse categories, showcasing their brilliance and the inclusive spirit of teamwork and artistic expression that defines our school. In the event Broadcasting Across Centuries, our young visionaries stepped into the shoes of Radio Jockeys, engaging audiences through an imaginative interview with a celebrated literary figure, and emerged victorious with the First Position.

Creativity continued to shine in Inked Expressions, where our students’ powerful storytelling through comic strips earned them the Third Position, highlighting their flair for visual narrative.

Crowning our success, the Overall Trophy was awarded to our school—an affirmation of our unwavering commitment to fostering expressive, empathetic, and empowered learners.

LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION

Blue Bells Group of Schools celebrated Labour Day on May 03, 2025, at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, paying heartfelt tribute to the relentless commitment and invaluable contributions of its support staff. The celebration honoured the silent yet indispensable workforce—drivers, conductors, attendants, sanitation workers, gardeners, and security personnel—whose tireless efforts ensure the smooth functioning of the institution each day.

The Physical Education Department, BBGS, curated engaging sports activities for the support staff, encouraging enthusiastic participation and camaraderie. This was followed by a warm and festive lunch hosted by the school management as a token of respect and appreciation.

The Felicitation Ceremony commenced with a thought-provoking welcome address by Ms. Suneeta Kaul, Discipline Incharge, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, who highlighted the dignity of labour and reiterated the school’s belief that “Destiny is shaped by effort, not chance.” The occasion was graced by Mr. Ashish Gulati, Vice Chairman, BBGS, along with the leadership teams from various branches, reflecting a unified spirit of gratitude and appreciation.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Gulati encouraged all members of the school community to nurture gratitude and kindness towards those who serve them selflessly. Ms. Madhu Talwar, Middle Wing Leader, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, proposed the Vote of Thanks. The celebration concluded with the distribution of tokens of appreciation and group photographs, reaffirming the timeless truth that service is the highest virtue, and those who serve, our greatest strength.

CYBER COUNCIL ASSEMBLY

"Labour Day is a yearly milestone marking the economic and social achievements of workers. It's a day to celebrate the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our communities."

May 01 is celebrated as Labour Day all over the world. It marks the celebration of the hard work and dedication of the working class. The day was celebrated by the students of the Cyber Council Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School through a Special Assembly. The students made heartfelt efforts to ensure that the day was special for the didis and bhaiyas by organising a host of activities for them.

Cyber Council for the session 2025-26 was announced during the assembly. The Cyber Council is a team of student & teacher representatives, constituted under the guidance of Ms. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director IT and mentored by our Cyber Safety Advisor, Dr. Rakshit Tandon. The Council aims at creating Cyber Security awareness amongst students & other stakeholders.

In the course of the assembly, the students delivered insightful presentations on the history of Labour Day, its global significance, and the evolution of labour rights over time. The assembly included speeches, poems, and performances by Cyber Council members to raise awareness of cyber frauds, along with games, songs, and poems about workers' struggles and achievements. These performances showcased our students' talents and creativity while conveying powerful messages about the value of labour. Members of the support staff also came forward to showcase their talents including singing songs and playing games enthusiastically. They participated in all the events wholeheartedly and thanked the students for the warm gesture of organising this celebration.

Deeksha Yadav, Cyber Safety Ambassador of the school delivered an impactful message on the significance of Cyber Security.

Ms. Roopali Kudesia Vice Principal Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School addressed the gathering . She congratulated the members of the Cyber Council and wished the support staff members on the occasion of Labour Day.
