Career Counselling Programme: A Journey from
Potential to Purpose
"A career is not simply a destination; it is a journey of
discovering one's strengths, aspirations, and purpose." With this vision, BD Blue Bells successfully
conducted the first phase of its Career Counselling Programme for students of
Classes IX and X during April and May 2026 under the expert guidance of Dr.
Alka Saxena. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from both
students and parents, reflecting a shared commitment towards informed career
planning.
To ensure greater accessibility and engagement, dedicated online
sessions were organised for parents. These interactive discussions highlighted
the significance of making thoughtful career choices in an ever-evolving world
and explored emerging career opportunities, future-ready skills, aptitude, and
personal interests.
The professional career counsellors from iDreamCareer encouraged
students to look beyond societal expectations and external influences,
empowering them to make independent and informed decisions. Through meaningful
conversations and guided reflection, students were inspired to recognise their
unique talents, passions, and aspirations while exploring diverse career
pathways aligned with their individual potential.
An important component of the programme was the psychometric assessment
conducted in the school computer laboratory. These scientifically designed
assessments provided valuable insights into students’ aptitude, personality
traits, interests, and career inclinations, enabling them to better understand
themselves and make more informed academic and career choices.
The programme received an overwhelmingly positive response from students
and parents alike. More than a counselling initiative, it became a journey of
self-discovery, helping young learners gain clarity, confidence, and direction
as they begin shaping their future.
