The Health & Wellness Programme
At BD Blue Bells Public School, student well-being is treated as a foundation for meaningful learning. As a School for Complete Learning, we recognise that academic success is deeply connected to emotional, physical, and social wellness
The Health & Wellness Programme of the Blue Bells Group of Schools was established in 2009 under the guidance of the Associate Director (Social & Emotional Learning), BBGS. Over the years, the programme has evolved into a structured, research-driven system supported by a trained team of counsellors, teachers, and specialists.
In 2015, the Health & Wellness Resource Centre was set up to address the growing needs of students, educators, and parents not only within BBGS but also across other schools. The centre continuously develops age-appropriate modules, workshops, and policies based on extensive research and practical insights from the school environment.
With over 12 years of experience, the programme focuses on awareness, sensitisation, and skill development for all stakeholders, students, teachers, and parents alike. This journey led to the creation of ADEPT– A Programme for Enhancing Life Skills, a specialised initiative designed to focus on preventive care and solution-oriented training.
ADEPT has been conceptualised under the aegis of the Health & Wellness Programme to support students through structured, preventive, and practical interventions. The programme focuses on building resilience, emotional intelligence, decision-making skills, and self-awareness—essential life skills required to navigate academic and personal challenges with confidence.

1. Medical Care Facility and Regular Health Check-ups
The school has a well-equipped Medical Room with a full-time doctor and trained nurses to provide immediate first aid and care during emergencies. An annual health check-up is conducted for all students, and individual medical records are maintained systematically.
Regular health advisories are issued to create awareness about seasonal and infectious diseases such as Dengue, Swine Flu, Chicken Pox, and others.
Please Note:
- First aid is provided only within school premises.
- In cases of chronic illness, parents are informed immediately and are expected to reach the school at the earliest.
- Expenses related to first aid within school are borne by the school. Any further medical treatment or hospitalisation expenses are the responsibility of parents.
-
2. Individual Counselling Support
A dedicated team of qualified counsellors provides individual counselling support to students, parents, and teachers. Emotional, behavioural, psychological, and academic concerns are addressed in a safe and confidential environment.

To strengthen value-based learning, the school has partnered with School Cinema for Classes I to VIII , where students learn through age-appropriate films followed by reflective activities. Life Skills classes are interactive and include role-plays, group discussions, videos, poster-making, and brainstorming sessions—ensuring learning is engaging and relevant.
