– Health & Wellness Fiesta on the Theme- Mental Health in Humanitarian
Emergencies
"It’s okay to take a break and prioritize your mental health."
At BD Blue Bells Public
School, education extends far beyond academics; it nurtures empathy,
resilience, and emotional well-being. Aligned with this vision and under the
insightful mentorship of Dr. Alka Saxena, Associate Director (Social
& Emotional Learning), the school hosted Genesis – Health & Wellness
Fiesta, an Intra-School Mega Life Skills Event. This year’s celebration powerfully resonated
with the global theme Mental health in humanitarian emergencies. and was
organised under the aegis of Adept-A Program for enhancing powered by wellnesswise.in.
The fiesta held on October 14 & 15, 2025, engaged
Middle and Senior Wing students in immersive activities designed to build
emotional strength. Initiatives like the Glow Bracelet of Gratitude encouraged
appreciation among peers, while the Gratitude Garden transformed classrooms
into spaces of shared thankfulness. The Lantern of Hope carried messages of
courage, and Bookmarks of Positivity served as daily affirmations. A Self-Care
Wall displayed personal reflections, promoting mindfulness and emotional balance.
Additionally, students of Grades X, XI, and XII enthusiastically
participated in Hope Pathway and Mural Painting, creatively expressing the
importance of mental health and emotional resilience.
The highlight of the
celebration was a specially curated wellness session for teachers, emphasizing
the importance of mental well-being and self-care.
The interactive workshop was graced by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, esteemed
Director, BBGS, and Dr. Alka Saxena. The session provided valuable
insights into stress management, reflective practices, and the prioritization
of mental health. Teachers were felicitated with badges as a token of
appreciation for their unwavering dedication to nurturing young minds. The
event reaffirmed the school’s vision of fostering a safe, compassionate, and
emotionally resilient learning community.
