BUDDHA PURNIMA CELEBRATION

"Happiness multiplies when shared …Just like a thousand candles can be lighted with one candle without reducing its own life’’– Gautama Buddha

This Buddha Purnima, our little Blue Bellians from grade I B exhibited their affection and regards towards Gautama Buddha. A Special Assembly was conducted on May 16, 2022 to throw light on the teachings of Buddha. In relevance to the principal theme of the assembly, students organized a meaningful presentation of Buddha’s Teachings galvanizing others to make self-discipline a watchword for their lifestyle. Students spoke about how Buddha taught us to always be truthful and work for the good of others. The Assembly started with a melodious song and chanting of the mantra – Buddham Sharnam Gacchami. They also presented surprising quotes explaining the topic. Since it’s our moral responsibility to know about the world, students enlightened their fellow mates by telling the informative news about what’s going on around the world.

Dwelling deep into the topic, students fervently shared their perspectives through a thoughtful talk on the significance of this day and a beautiful dance performance left the audience awe-struck.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Madam Meenakshi Malhotra, PrimaryWing Leader, sensitized the students to practice meditation and put in their best efforts to be good students. The assembly was concluded with paying respect to the nation by singing National Anthem.
