UN DAY ASSEMBLY
The facilitators of
the Social Science and Commerce Departments thoughtfully organised a special
assembly commemorating the inception of the United Nations. Beyond the usual
assembly format, the programme brought the story and spirit of the UN to life
through a powerful play that portrayed the vision behind its formation and
highlighted the enduring values of peace, unity, and international cooperation.
An insightful
documentary took students through the journey of the United Nations from its
origins and evolution to its significant role in addressing some of the world’s
most pressing challenges. This was followed by an engaging interactive quiz
that sparked curiosity, encouraged participation and enjoyably reinforced key
learnings.
The assembly
concluded with an inspiring address by the school leadership, urging students
to look beyond boundaries and embrace the ideals of harmony, cooperation and
shared responsibility. The programme served as a meaningful reminder that
building a peaceful and better world begins with each one of us.
