Anastagio – Annual Day cum Felicitation Ceremony

Annual Day forms an integral part of a school’s activities. It is an occasion for celebration, felicitation, feast and festivity where students present not only their wonderful performances but also receive honours for their curricular and co-curricular achievements.

Anastagio, the Annual day cum Felicitation Ceremony of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, was recently celebrated virtually. The collective efforts of the school leadership, staff and students resulted in the scintillating success of this grand event.

Anastagio echoed the efforts and sacrifices of our front line warriors who have been at the forefront of the country’s fight against Covid-19 pandemic. It was presented by students of Classes IX to XII. The School’s Annual Report was presented by Ms. Arpita Acharya, Officiating Principal, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School. It included the achievements of the school and the milestones achieved during the last academic session. This was followed by an Award Ceremony to felicitate and recognise the talent and efforts of students.

The Chief Guest, Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director (Trainings and Skill Education), CBSE, New Delhi, was visibly impressed by the impeccable performance of the students of all classes. In his speech, he appreciated the endeavours of the teachers and recalled countless moments when teachers answered the call of duty with great valour. An inspiring speech from Mr. Mahesh Chandra, Chairman, Blue Bells Group of Schools encouraged Blue-Bellians to delve deep into themselves and enrich their life with purpose and motivation.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Ms. Suneeta Kaul, Middle Wing In -charge. She acknowledged the efforts of students, teachers, and support staff and thanked the guests for making the time to be a part of the programme.

Felicitation Ceremony - Classes Nursery-II Honouring Achievers

The little scholars of Classes Nursery-II were felicitated for their meritorious performance in academics and for securing 100% attendance at an Online Felicitation Ceremony organised on 11 March 11 2021. The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of Diya, followed by chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, to invoke the blessings of the Almighty.

The young Blue-Bellians performed a soulful dance, as a tribute to the Goddess of Knowledge, and showcased an inspirational presentation ‘Divine Elements’ based on the five elements of nature—air, water, earth, fire and space.

Their facilitators took great pride in announcing the names of the academic achievers and applauded them for their hard work.

The event was graced by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools. She shared some wise advice and wisdom and blessed the students on their stupendous achievement, especially for their regularity and punctuality.

Felicitation Ceremony - Classes III-V Honouring Achievers

A grand virtual Felicitation Ceremony was held on 12 March 2021 for students of Classes III-V of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School. The ceremony was to commend students on their meritorious performance in academics and for securing 100% attendance for the Session 2019-20.

The programme began with the auspicious lighting of the Diya and Ganesh Stuti. A wonderful recitation of the classic poem ‘If’ by Rudyard Kipling was just apt for the occasion and added to the charm of the event. The scintillating dance performance moved everyone with its elegance and grace.

The names of the achievers were announced with great joy and enthusiasm by the facilitators. Their diligence was appreciated and applauded by all.

The event was graced by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools. Speaking on the occasion, she congratulated all the students for accomplishing their targets. She also thanked the parents of the students who received the Regularity and Punctuality Award as without their support and guidance, children couldn’t have achieved this feat at this tender age.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School Celebrates National Science Day

National Science Day is celebrated in India each year on 28 February to commemorate the path-breaking discovery of the ‘Raman Effect’ by Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School joined the rest of the country in celebrating this special day. As part of its online celebrations, the school invited two of its alumni as guest speakers: Mr. Vivek Yadav, Software Developer, presently with Philips HealthCare Research, and Mr. Sushant Madan, a B.Tech Mechanical graduate, who currently works with Infosys. The speakers talked to the students about recent scientific inventions and discoveries such as Hyperloop technology and how cells sense and adapt to oxygen availability. They also explained the importance of maintaining good health, more so during such testing times. Students of Classes IX and X along with the Science faculty watched the session from their classrooms. Ms. Hoàng Th? Hà and her students from Minh Khai Primary School, Binh Gia District, L?ng Son Province, Vietnam added an international dimension through their participation. They found the session interesting and enlightening.

ISA Project with Vin School, Vietnam on Water Conservation

Exposure to other cultures, ideas, values, beliefs and religions brings us closer globally and helps build a stronger understanding and appreciation of each other.

It is with the idea of developing cross-cultural appreciation that Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School regularly organises programmes that introduce students to other cultures and traditions.

At a recently held online session, students of Class VIII interacted with students of Vin School, Vietnam to get a better understanding of water network system, different methods of water purification, traditional and modern methods of rainwater harvesting in both countries.

BBPS students shared details with the partner school of water network system in India through canals, the methods of water purification at domestic and commercial level that they had spent time in researching. In turn, the Vietnamese students shared many interesting facts like the factors that affect distribution of water resources around the world and water purification through a bio-filter by using active charcoal.

It was a fantastic learning experience for both sides and helped broaden students’ knowledge of a country and its valuable resources

It was a delight seeing young, active minds engage and learn from each other.

Republic Day Celebration at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School celebrated India’s 72nd Republic Day online as well as on-ground with all necessary precautions and safety protocols in place.

The celebration started with the hoisting of the National Flag by Founder Director Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati. In her inspirational speech, the Director praised the valour and sacrifice of the armed forces.

Classical forms of music and dance were presented by the students to give the audience a glimpse into the diversity of the nation. Online events included recitation of patriotic poems, yoga-dance performance, artwork presentation, lyrical ballet, state tableaux and much more. The audience was appreciative of the enthusiasm, creativity and efforts shown by the students.

The programme ended with a motivating message by Officiating Principal, Ms. Arpita Acharya, who encouraged students to contribute towards creating an even greater nation.

Special Assembly to commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of the iconic freedom fighter, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

“As soldiers, you will always have to cherish and live up to the three ideals of faithfulness, duty and sacrifice. If you want to be invincible, engrave these ideals in the innermost core of your hearts.”- Subhash Chandra Bose

Inspired by these words, students of the Primary Wing conducted a Special Assembly to commemorate the 125th Birth Anniversary of the iconic freedom fighter, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Apart from the regular features of the assembly, students presented a play on the INA’s march to Imphal. They also presented songs which were used during that time.

The presentation moved everyone and filled them with love and duty towards the nation.

BBPS Cultural Exchange Programme with Israeli School

At Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School we believe in creating opportunities that help our students explore and grow. It’s with this in mind that the school recently conducted an interaction of young students of Class IV with students of Happy English School, Tel Aviv, Israel over Zoom.

The cultural session was to introduce students of both schools to ‘Fruits and Food of Israel and India’. Students of BBPS displayed seasonal fruits of India live and platters of regional food through a PowerPoint presentation.

The excellent presentation by BBPS students created an inquisitiveness about Indian food and an appreciation of its wide variety as well as its nutritional value.

Both informative and rewarding, the interaction helped build a mutual understanding about both countries. It also built a curiosity in students of BBPS to learn more about Israel and its history and culture.

The session was a unique international experience for the young students and we look forward to many more.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School welcomes the harvest season with festivities

India celebrates the onset of the harvest season on January 13 and 14 with the festivals of Lohri, Pongal, Bihu, and Makar Sankranti.

To welcome the season and mark the end of winter, the talented students of Class VIII organised a festive assembly. They dressed in traditional attire, presented a play on cultural diversity, sang folk songs, including the popular Punjabi ‘Sunder Munderiye’, and recited poems. The entire programme and performances made for a joyous winter morning. 

Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Founder Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools, and other members of the school leadership were also present to celebrate along with the students.

Celebrating the Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School marked the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the great spiritual leader and reformer of India on 12 January. Observed as National Youth Day since 1984, it is a day that is celebrated to honour the teachings and ideals of Swami Vivekananda who continues to be a great source of inspiration to the Indian youth.

On this special day students of the school took part in various online activities including painting, poetry writing, essay writing competitions, and a panel discussion.

Video recordings of eminent personalities honouring Swami Vivekananda, including those of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, former President of India, and Farhan Akhtar, Indian film actor, were shared with the students of Classes IX-XII. These were meant to encourage students to work within their local communities and contribute to nation-building.

The event concluded with a motivational speech by officiating Principal Ms. Arpita Acharya, who encouraged students to recognise and use their potential towards the service of the public.
