To raise awareness about the importance of protecting our natural resources and promoting a healthier environment, the students of Grade II B hosted a Special Assembly on July 29, 2024, to mark World Nature Conservation Day.

 Through an insightful talk and creative slogans, the students expressed their deep concern for the protection of natural resources, emphasizing the urgent need for collective action. A melodious song and a vibrant dance performance further reinforced the significance of conservation.

 The School Leadership Team commended the students' efforts and encouraged them to continue their dedication to environmental conservation.

Theatrix 2024 -An Inter-house Mega Theatre Fest

The world of theatre is one where realities collide and worlds blend seamlessly. Amid joyous harmony, the intricacies surrounding the dramatics of the stage are explored by an enraptured audience and judged by critics once the red curtain falls. On July 25 and 26, 2024, through the Inter-house Mega Theatre event, Theatrix 2024, the students showcased true slices of life experiences, helping us understand the impact of theatre and its relevance in everyday life.

A total of eight plays were staged by the four Houses over two days. Each House presented one Hindi and one English play. The Hindi plays were all mythological whereas the English plays were the biographies of popular personalities including Louis Braille, Charlie Chaplin, Christopher Marlow, and Michael Jackson. The cutthroat competition was truly enthralling, with each team giving their all on stage. The audience was thrilled, and captivated by the intensity of the mesmerizing performances. The judges praised the students' energy and performances, noting the competition was exceptionally close and difficult to judge. The winners were awarded, congratulated, and commended after careful deliberation. 'Resplendent Star of the Intellectual Galaxy: Louis Braille' from Radha Krishnan House was declared the Best English Play, and 'Ardhnareshawar' from C.V. Raman House clinched the coveted Best Play in the category of Hindi Plays.

Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, the esteemed Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools, spoke on the occasion, congratulating the school team for their outstanding performance and presentation. Ma’am eloquently remarked that theatre is a mirror to life, capturing the intricate dance of emotions and experiences. Additionally, Director Ma’am emphasized the collective efforts of all the students and teachers, stating that while winning is commendable, the most important aspect is the passionate involvement and participation of every member, as it exemplifies true teamwork.

Theatrix 2024 was a remarkable event that showcased the immense talent of Blue Bellians. The dedication and enthusiasm of the students made the event a resounding success.

Visit to Old Age Home

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School Students Promote Legal Awareness at Local Old Age Home

 The Legal Studies students of Classes XI and XII at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School took the initiative to create legal awareness and contribute to community service by visiting the Old Age Home in Sector 4, Gurugram.

 It was a wonderful experience for the students as they interacted with the senior citizens and promoted legal awareness. They did their best to bring joy to the residents and inform them about the legal system's provisions for senior citizens' rights and protection. The students and senior citizens enjoyed sharing sweets, jokes, and performances, praising each other’s contributions. The visit enriched the students' understanding of social responsibility and strengthened their bond with the elderly community. This initiative served as a meaningful step towards bridging the generational gap and fostering mutual respect.

PLANTATION DRIVE UNDER PROJECT CHHAYA

ECO-FRIENDLY INITIATIVE: PLANTATION DRIVE AT BDBBPS

The Eco Club at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugram, organized a Plantation Drive on July 24, 2024, under the ‘Tree Adoption Program-Project Chhaya.’ This initiative reflects our ongoing dedication to environmental sustainability. The primary goal of the drive was to promote green practices within our school community, enhance our campus environment, and foster a sense of responsibility towards nature among students.

Additionally, the drive aimed to educate students and staff about the pivotal role trees play in maintaining ecological balance. As part of the campaign "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam," our conscientious students planted saplings in the name of their mothers. To raise awareness about the event and its importance, engaging and informative posters and flyers were created and distributed to students and staff.

Visit to Exhibition at National Agricultural Science Centre (NASC), New Delhi

The school organized a visit to the National Agricultural Science Centre (NASC) Complex for the students of Class IX on July 16, 2024, to attend an exhibition organized by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) during the ICAR Foundation-cum-Technology Day Celebration. The students were introduced to ICAR and its various projects across different universities through two documentaries showcased in their auditorium. They learned that in agriculture, alongside farmers, fields such as IT, AI, Health and Wellness, and Mathematics are also involved. This aimed to spark interest in the students to pursue their studies and research in the agricultural sector.

The students visited a museum that guided them through the evolution of food procurement from the early human era to the present day. They found this experience both enjoyable and educational.

At the exhibition, the students had the opportunity to witness the advancements in agricultural research, as well as the innovative solutions and progress in the field. They observed items such as biothermocol, biofortified foods, products made from agricultural waste, and naturally coloured genetically modified cotton and its products. A display of various kinds of bananas, mangoes, apples, and other fruits was a visual treat.

Overall, it was a wonderful learning experience for the students. They not only learned about the progress made in agricultural research but also the innovative solutions and advancements in the field. Additionally, they were inspired to consider careers in agricultural sciences and related fields.

GURU PURNIMA (IIA Assembly)

A TRIBUTE TO GURUS: GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATED BY YOUNG BLUE BELLIANS

 ‘A Guru enlightens the journey of knowledge, inspiring us to achieve our fullest potential.’

 The students of Class II A, on July 19, 2024, tendered a tribute to their teachers and mentors with love, care, and affection through a special assembly. They expressed their gratitude with a beautiful rendition of the Guru Stuti, the recitation of shlokas, a thought-provoking skit, and an energetic dance performance. An inspirational speech by the students of Grade II acknowledged their appreciation for their Principal, Wing Leader, and teachers. The students were blessed with encouraging words from the School Leadership Team, motivating them to aim higher and ensure that they followed the learning imparted to them.

GURU PURNIMA CELEBRATION

"A Guru's blessings and teachings illuminate our path, bringing light to our lives."

 A special assembly was conducted by the students of Class IV C on July 18, 2024, to express their sincere gratitude towards their gurus and mentors on the occasion of Guru Purnima. The entire atmosphere was imbued with feelings of reverence as the students presented a beautiful poem, a street play, a melodious song, and an enthralling dance performance highlighting the importance of gurus in our lives. The chanting of dohas brought everyone closer to divinity.

 The School Leadership Team blessed the students and encouraged everyone to show gratitude to all those who contribute to their growth and learning.

LAUGHTER YOGA SESSION

“Laughter is one of the best medicines around for relieving stress and for creating a more healthy spirit.” – Byron Pulsifer

Laughing is a fun and effective method of enhancing your wellness as it has a wide range of benefits – from stress relief to bond-making as well as other numerous ways to benefit health-wise. In an attempt to promote holistic wellbeing through laughter, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School organized a Laughter Yoga Session under the aegis of  Health and Wellness Programme on July 10, 2024 for the teachers in the senior wing of the school. This special session was curated under the motivational leadership of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, and aimed at bringing smiles to the faces of the faculty members.

 The session was mentored  by Dr. Madan Kataria, a renowned Laughter Guru who is also known as “The Founder” of the Laughter Club in India. The leader behind this in fact sparked off world-wide joy and laughter movement. He blended laughter exercises with yoga breathing techniques (Pranayama) which he called Laughter Yoga; this combination brings more oxygen into not only our bodies but also our minds thereby boosting energy levels and overall health. Just ten to fifteen minutes spent doing such exercises can help you manage your stress levels well enough, boost your immune system, and maintain a positive mindset even when things get tough.

 During this session, faculty members were involved in a variety of activities like deep breaths, warm up exercises, chanting and movement, childlike playfulness, laughter exercises and laughing meditation. While addressing the teachers, Dr. Kataria emphasized on the need to include Laughter Yoga as part of school routine to help students overcome their stress level.

 Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Alka congratulated the school team for organising the session. Ma’am reiterated that laughter is the best anecdote to relieve stress and create a congenial workspace with a growth mindset. The school was filled with the sound of “ha ha ha” and “ho ho ho,” giggles and hearty laughers. These exercises were encouraging people to keep smiling and maintain high levels of energy.

Cyber Security Summer Internship 2024

Cybersecurity is not just a necessity; it is a responsibility. Protecting our digital world requires vigilance, knowledge, and undeterred commitment. In furtherance of the vision of curating a ‘Cyber Secure World’, seven students from Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugram, participated in the Police Cyber Security Summer Internship 2024, held at DAV Public School, Sector-49, Gurugram, from June 3 to July 2, 2024. The event, aimed at enhancing cybersecurity skills and preparing students for future digital challenges, was attended by approximately 1,000 interns from 13 states of the nation.

The Closing Ceremony of the program featured distinguished guests such as DCP South Sri Siddhant Jain, IPS, ACP Cyber Crime Sri Priyanshu Diwan, HPS, Cyber Security expert Dr. Rakshit Tandon, and Mr. Rubaab Sood, Head of Government Affairs at Zupee. The talk on cybersecurity by the renowned internet activist and cybersecurity expert Dr. Rakshit Tandon was unparalleled, as it not only introduced innovative ways to ensure safe browsing but also sparked enthusiasm among students to choose it as the most viable career option. These young minds are now better prepared for a safer digital world with the message, "Be Safe, Not Sorry."

Upon completing the course, Ms. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director IT, Blue Bells Group of Schools), felicitated the Cyber Ambassadors and commended them for the invaluable learning experience they received. It was an enriching experience for the scholars as they honed their networking skills and gained profound knowledge of cybersecurity and professional camaraderie.

International Year of Camelids

‘Let’s be inspired by camels and embrace resilience and adaptability.’

 The UN has designated 2024 as the International Year of Camelids, recognizing these animals as an important source of livelihood for millions of families around the world. On July 11, 2024, the students of Grade VA presented a special assembly on this theme.

 The students gave a splendid presentation on camels, often referred to as the ‘ship of the desert.’ Their presentation included a graceful dance depicting a camel safari, melodious songs, poem recitations, and a captivating skit titled ‘How the Camel Got Its Hump.’

 The school leadership team encouraged the students to take inspiration from a camel’s life and learn to embrace perseverance, kindness, and determination in their own journeys.
