CHRISTMAS ASSEMBLY PRE PRIMARY & PRIMARY WING

“Christmas waves a magic wand over this world and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful .”

To spread the message of love and good cheer, the students of the Pre Primary & Primary Wing  of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Gurugram ,  presented a spectacular assembly “Be A Santa To Someone” on December 22, 2017 on the occasion of the world’s most loved and celebrated festival, Christmas.

The programme commenced with the Prayer, followed by Pledge, Thought of the Day and News Update. The vibrant choir group sang a carol relating to the events of the birth of Christ.

The children in their bright costumes and Santa’s cap were a delight to watch. The tiny tots impressed everyone with their performances especially the dance presentations by Nursery, LKG and UKG students which left the audience spell bound with their rhythm and perfect coordination. The glittering props added grace to the presentation. The talk presented by the students describing the significance of celebrating Christmas was very informative for the little ones. Students of Class III presented a skit emphasising the value of sharing and caring. The entry of Santa Claus took everyone by surprise and was the highlight of the event.  The jingle bells song was sung and got the entire audience singing along.

The programme concluded with the blessing of Principal Maam and Wing Incharge Maam and the students carried home the message of sharing and caring as well as the pleasure and pride of spreading peace, true to the spirit of the celebration.

EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO KIDZANIA

KidZania is a safe, unique, and interactive indoor theme park that empowers, inspires & educates kids through real-life role-play activities. Built like a city, it is complete with paved roads, battery operated cars, buildings, a functioning economy & its own currency.

The students of Classes III – V went for an Educational Trip to KidZania, Noida on December 22, 2017. The journey at KidZania was full of adventure, learning and fun. Students got an opportunity to take part in various role-play activities. Through these activities they were able to visualize their dreams of becoming a  Pilot, Surgeon, Detective, Chef, Engineer, TV Producer, Radio Jockey, Car Mechanic or the next Award-winning Actor. They were able to have a tour of industries present in the real world like private services, public services, entertainment, airline, automobile, retail, restaurants and their functioning. The place provided a rich learning environment where kids could foster their autonomy, creativity, decision-making skills, problem solving and social values. It was an amazing learning experience for the students.

VISIT TO THE RAIL MUSEUM

The students of Class LKG went to Rail Museum, Delhi on December 20, 2017.The National Rail Museum focuses on the Rail Heritage of India. The major attractions were - Gallery of Indian Railway History, toy train rides, engines from very start to the latest ones. Students enjoyed looking at various engines on display and thoroughly enjoyed the “Toy Train Ride”. It was a  fun-filled learning experience.

 VISIT TO QUTUB MINAR

Excursions are an important part of early learning and not only break everyday routine but also bring forward new lessons in community, relationships and exploration for a child to experience. Excursions offer a valuable experience for the children to draw on several different aspects of learning; it enables children to respond to the diversities with the people they see and the different environment they are involved in. Children certainly benefit from going on excursions, as they get an  opportunity to experience life beyond the classroom with their teachers, peers or family.

The students of Class Nursery went to Qutub Minar, Delhi on December 19, 2017 Qutub Minar focuses on the Rich Heritage of India. The Major attractions were -73m high tower of victory made of red sandstone and marble, 7m high iron pillar and Qutub garden. Students observed the structure and were excited to see a heritage site. They shared their experience in the reflection sheet. The trip was a not only a fun-filled experience but also facilitated knowing our heritage better.

STAFF PICNIC AT ADVENTURE PARK

Each and every day of life is filled with a unique learning experience that makes our existence worth. Human life incorporates learning, we learn from our surroundings and environment and this enriching phase makes us a wholesome personality.

The staff members of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School rejoiced themselves in the lap of Mother Nature at Adventure Park, Sohna Road, Gurugram on December 16, 2017. The trip was organized by the Management who values each and every member of the school. Apart from relaxation and enjoyment the picnic also aimed at building up team spirit among the members of the staff. It was one of the endeavours to bring the teaching faculty of the school closer which will further result in better understanding and coordination.

The journey to the Park  was an enjoyable one, both due to the exquisite village scenery on the way and the dancing and singing in the bus by the teachers. . The teachers actively participated in various adventure activities -Music and DJ,  Burma bridge, Commando Net, Tyre Glider, Monkey Crwal, Rope Climibing, Commando Bridge, Sand Dunes Ride , and  Tyre Wall etc.  

The outing refreshed and rejuvenated all and  has left indelible imprint in the heart of all the members with the memories that will be cherished forever.

INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY CRICKET MATCH BETWEEN UNDER 15 BOYS TEAM OF BLUE BELLS GROUP OF SCHOOLS AND UNDER 15 BOYS TEAM FROM SRILANKA

"We can best teach character on the playing field, using sports to teach life’s lessons.” We , at Blue Bells  believe that both physical and mental well being are the prerequisites for the holistic growth and development of the students. Sports and games foster a feeling of healthy competitive spirit and sportsmanship among the players. In this process, they learn to channelize their energy in a positive way thereby imbibing in themselves values of self-discipline, patience, punctuality and courteousness.

In pursuance of this objective, the school   organized  an International  Friendly Cricket Match between Under 15 Boys Team of Blue Bells Group of Schools and Under 15 Boys  team from Scorpion Club, Srilanka in the School Grounds on December 15, 2017 . The visiting team was accorded  a formal traditional welcome by the students of the school which presented  a kaleidoscopic view of rich Indian heritage. The formal welcome to the visiting team and dignitaries was given by Ms. Anjali Nagapl , Principal of the school. The school choir presented a musical rendition  to welcome the visiting team .

After the ceremonial introduction of the teams  with the dignitaries, the National Anthem of Srilanka and India was played which marked the beginning of Friendly Cricket Match. The spirit of Internationalism was showcased as the event  fostered the spirit of international brotherhood and provided a platform to the learners to become global citizens by transcending geo-political boundaries and adding a dimension to the learning perspective of the both the teacher and taught.

Team Blue Bells won the toss and elected to bat in a T20 Over Match. In their innings,  the team scored 191 runs and the Srilankan Team was bowled out for 91 runs . Karan Bhambu of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School was declared as the MAN OF MATCH for  scoring a century in his innings and Dhasun from Scorpion Club, Srilanka was declared as the BEST BOWLER for taking three wickets.

The students of the school witnessed a spectacular play between the two teams and the spirit of Sports, international collaboration and brotherhood took a new dimension. It was a mesmerizing experience for all.

VISIT TO AIR FORCE MUSEUM

The students of Class II visited the Air Force Museum in Palam, Delhi on December 15, 2017. The Museum reflects the very best of what the Indian Air Force has stood for in War and Peace.

The most remarkable site of this Museum is a wall in one of it's sections. It has a  “Roll of Honour” in golden letters, of officers and men who made supreme sacrifice by laying down their lives in various operations. The students got an opportunity to see Apollo Lunar Module which carried American Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Edwin Aldrin to moon's surface.

The hangar in the Museum houses fifteen  different types of Military Aircrafts. Along with  rockets and bombs, there  is a towering statue of Flying Officer Nirmaljit Singh Sekhon, the first only Air Force pilot to be awarded Param Vir Chakra for sublime heroism, supreme gallantry and flying skill, which he displayed by shooting down two enemy sabers.

The museum in itself is a lasting tribute to hundreds of people who have each in their own way contributed to build a glorious tradition. It was really a good opportunity for the students to have a sense of history and tradition of the fighting service like the Indian Air Force and visit the place where memories of our glory are enshrined.

VISIT TO THE TRAFFIC PARK

Educational field trips help to facilitate experiential learning amongst the students. They learn effectively since they get a real-time exposure to the surroundings and are able to correlate the same to the concepts learnt in class in a more practical way.

To learn more about the ongoing theme “Moving Around” students of Class- I visited the Traffic Park on December 08,  2017. The students learnt about different Traffic Signs and their significance. The children were excited to see the fabricated pedestrian pathways, signboards and traffic lights which were all created in ‘scale-down measure’ to suit the heights of the little ones.

The students further shared their experience in a reflection sheet. The trip was instrumental in giving students a closer look at the safety measures to be taken on roads while commuting.

FIELD- TRIP  (  PRE-PRIMARY WING)

School Field Trips are important to help bridge the gap between education and hands-on experience. Field trip is an effective educational activity for students that helps facilitate fast and efficient learning method. Taking students into a new environment gives them the experience of traveling in a group and teaches them to be respectful of the locations they visit.

The students of the Pre-primary wing of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School were taken for a fun filled trip on December 07,2017. Class Nursery visited the Botanical Garden , LKG  students were taken to Leisure Valley Park and the UKG students  went to Tau Devi Lal Park.

The Botanical Garden is dedicated to the collection, cultivation and display of a wide range of plants labeled with their botanical names.  There are greenhouses, shade houses, again with special collections of exotic plants. Nursery students observed various plants and few domestic animals on road d during their trip. They also discussed various ways as to how we should take care of our environment.

The LKG students learnt about different plants, flowers, fruit trees & gardening. Students become scientists by using their five senses to explore and observe the natural world. They gained live experience of realizing nature’s beauty & benefits to health. Teachers organized many group activities that allowed students to explore, discover & play in garden.

 The UKG students enjoyed taking a walk across the park which had many variety of plants  divided into many sections. There were as many as 18 different plant sections, the list of which is displayed on a board near the park entrance. The park also has a huge number of trees - about 2000 or more. Each tree has a small board nailed on it which has a number on it, which shows that they’ve been planted in an organized manner .Walking through the park the students admired the greenery all over. The trip was a not only a fun-filled experience but also facilitated experiential learning.

AT Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School , SECTOR 10, GURUGRAM

Ignited minds are the most powerful resource compared to any resource on the earth.  Technological advancements in the world have been possible due to innovative thinking, original concepts, original ideas and a broad vision.  The school organized Cybersapze 2017, an Intra School IT Fest  from November 28 to December 1, 2017 , to provide a unique learning platform to the students to hone their tech skills. The competition was a beehive of science and technological activity where the objective was to cultivate the creative spirit , practical ability and encourage outstanding talents among the students .

The Opening Ceremony for this Mega Fest on November 28, 2017  was graced by the benign presence of Mrs. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director  IT, BBGS . After Ceremonial lighting of the diya to mark the auspicious beginning of the Event , a presentation was given by the students of Cyber Congress on the initiatives taken by the Cyber Team to ensure Cyber Safety in school.

Plethora of Tech events were organized for the students of Classes VI to XI where the students enjoyed competing with each other. The creativity and expression of the participants was adjudged by the eminent personalities from the field of education, culture and Information Technology. One could see the remarkable way in which the students maximized their creative potential and exhibited their incredible innovation.

The Closing Ceremony of the Mega IT Fest on December 1, 2017 , was adorned with the illustrious presence of Mr. Rakshit Tondon, Advisor, Cyber Crime Cell , Moradabad , Up & Haryana Police Academy, who graciously agreed to be the Chief Guest for the occasion. He is also an eminent member of Gurgaon Police Safe Surfing Campaign and took two sessions with the students of classes VI to VIII and IX to XI to guide them on Cyber Safety Issues and concerns and how it can curb corruption . Ms. Anshuka Aneja , Deputy Director-IT   , BBGS blessed everyone with her radiant presence. The students presented a well orchestrated programme where there was a perfect amalgamation of  Admad show, Dance presentation, Street Play  and Reminiscence- a kaleidoscopic view of Cyberspaze 2017. The achievers of various IT Competitions were felicitated by Mr. Rakshit Tondon and Ms. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director IT, BBGS.

Mr. Rakshit Tondon congratulated the students for  a wonderful show and presentation. He asked the students to be Tech Savvy and conscious rather than tech slaves.
