VAN MAHOTSAV

A special assembly was conducted by Class VB on July 8, 2021 to celebrate Van Mahotsav- the festival of planting trees. Along with the usual features of the assembly, the students presented an informative skit called ‘Timeline of a Forest’. It gave an insight into the importance of Van Mahotsav and significance of trees in our lives. The presentation was embellished with a very melodious song and a lyrical dance in which students showcased their high spirits towards protecting their environment by planting more and more trees.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools, applauded the students for their praiseworthy presentation and urged everyone present to plant trees in their homes and also in the surrounding areas. Madam Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Leader encouraged the students to take a pledge to plant trees and take care of them.

DOCTORS DAY

Doctors Day is celebrated every year on 1st July. This year too, the school celebrated it with enthusiasm. The assembly was graced by the august presence of Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, esteemed Director, BBGS and Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health& Wellness) BBGS. Dr. Rohit Arora, an eminent Orthopaedic Surgeon, also a member of the parent fraternity of our school was the Guest Speaker along with Dr. Vinita Yadav, an Alumna of BBPS. Dr Saxena spoke about the importance of taking care of one’s mental health, along with physical health. She emphasised on the practice of Mindfulness to be aware of our thoughts and feelings. Dr. Rohit spoke about the Covid situation and on the importance of vaccination. The students presented a well-orchestrated cultural activity to highlight the importance of doctors in our society. Dr. Vinita Yadav, our Alumna also stressed on the importance of following the Covid protocol. Speaking on the occasion, Director ma'am praised the work done by the medical fraternity during the pandemic and encouraged everyone to keep faith in their ability to bring our nation out of these turbulent times.

CREATIVITY & INNOVATION: BENCHMARK OF Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School

On May 18, 2021, the school shared the success story of Shantanu Narayen, who grew up in Hyderabad to become a Journalist and now serving as the CEO of Adobe Systems, is truly an inspiration to many.

After completing his graduation in Electronics Engineering from Osmania University, Shantanu moved to Silicon Valley with his aim of growing further, where he pursued his MBA from Bowling Green State University, Ohio and later served as a Product Developer at Apple. He also started his own venture Pictra Inc and then took up the role of the Vice President at Adobe. In less than 9 years, he climbed the ladder of success and became the CEO of Adobe.

Drawing inspiration from the success stories of leaders like Narayen, we have carefully designed our curriculum to empower our students to achieve their desired goals using their creativity and innovation, in addition to academics.

We believe that dedication, hard work, creativity and cognitive skill set are all that students require to unleash their full potential and become ready for the future.

UNLEASHING INNATE POTENTIAL: SUMMER CAMP

We, at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, strongly believe that children are born with a lot of potential. They just need the right guidance and opportunities to learn and grow. In sync with this thought process, fun-filled ‘Summer Fun Activities’ were organised for the students of Classes Nursery-VIII from May 12, 2021 to May 22, 2021.

All the activities were thoughtfully crafted for the students and were well received by the students and parents.

In 'Art from the Heart', students used leftover material and made lovely artefacts. The message of the activity was very clear that by using creativity, one can convert simple and easily available things and create something unique.

‘Fitness Camp’ was a big hit among the students as they learnt all techniques right from Yoga to Aerobics and Zumba to keep themselves fit.

In ‘Dance Troupe’, students learnt various dance forms and the foot tapping music enhanced the fervour. Further, charm was added by the colourful costumes the students wore to present their favourite dance forms.

The tiny tots from Classes Nursery-II were enchanted by the wide array of activities conducted during ‘Wizard Café’. They learnt the school prayer, school song and motivational songs in ‘Musical Troupe’.

The grand finale of Summer Fun was full of surprises and excitement for the students. They had a healthy breakfast over Circle Time followed by tete' a tete' with alumni of the school who were the guests for the day. They turned mentors for the students when they narrated how their interest in the co-curricular activities and their own passion for these activities helped them to make a place for themselves in the world.

All in all, the Summer Fun Activities splashed the colours of creativity and fun, and provided a wholesome outlet to students’ potential.

While technology plays a vital role in education, we at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School pride ourselves to be a pioneer in providing computer education to our students right from their initial stage.

MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION AT Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, SECTOR 10, GURUGRAM

The history of the world is a history of its mothers. A mother is more to her child than any other being, human or divine, can ever be to him in his life. The sweetest sounds to the mortals are given in heart is that of the ‘Mother’. To celebrate the glory of motherhood and express gratitude to this divine symbol of selfless love and unconditional support, the school virtually celebrated Mother’s Day on May 9, 2021. The celebration was a testimony to the school’s commitment of reaching out to them in these challenging times along with strengthening the bond they shared.

The mother and child duo were invited to participate in the events curated by the school team that provided a vent to the hidden talent hibernating in them. ‘To Mom With Love’-writing a loving message for the mother , ‘My Mother , My Guru’-making a short video on the skills learnt from the mother during the Covid crisis, ‘Dancing Duo’-making a dance video which evokes a feeling a extreme love and belongingness and ‘Dialogue Number 1’ -recording of mother’s famous liners and ‘My Mother be the Prettiest’ -to portray oneself in the best version either through dance , Ramp Walk or any other performing art. The response of our dear mother-child teams was overwhelming. Through the celebration, Team Blue Bells reaffirmed the truth that mothers hold the supreme place and they are to be valued and revered.

160th Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti

Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti or Rabindra Jayanti is a cultural celebration to mark the birth anniversary of the luminary, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Rabindranath Tagore. Celebrated annually and globally in May, Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti falls on the 25th day of the Bengali month of Boishakh. Tagore was born on the day in the year 1268, according to the Bengali calendar and 1861 AD, as per the Gregorian calendar.

In remembrance and reverence for the polymath that Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore was, the school extends its heartiest wishes on 160th Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti. From his poetry to songs to his essays and paintings, he has made a tremendous contribution to our Nation's literature, art and music.

On his Birth Anniversary, Team Blue Bells salutes one of India's most revered renaissance figures, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.  As part of the celebration, the students were apprised about some of the lesser-known facts about him, which are truly astounding.

ORIENTATION PROGRAMME- CLASS XI

To initiate the wonderful process of teaching-learning and to acquaint the parents with the rules, assessment parameters, safety and security policy etc. of the school, an online Orientation Programme was held for Class XI on May 01, 2021.

The programme commenced with a warm Welcome Address to the parents and students, by the Officiating Principal, Madam Arpita Acharya. It was followed by a comprehensive presentation, apprising the parents about the latest achievements, curriculum, rules and regulations, assessment parameters, Health and Wellness Programme and other facilities provided by the school.

Ms.Arpita Acharya addressed the queries of the parents. The event was a sincere attempt to communicate all the necessary information to the parents and clarify their doubts so that there is a better connect resulting in strong collaboration between the parents and the school.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, SECTOR 10, GURUGRAM CELEBRATES LABOUR DAY

‘God give me work, till my life shall end,  and life till my work is done…’

It is only through labour and honest efforts, by grim energy and resolute courage that one move on to better things. All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with conscientious excellence. To appreciate the contribution of workforce, the school commemorated ‘Labour Day’ on May1, 2021. The year 2020 brought unprecedented challenges with Covid-19 pandemic effecting all spheres of practical life. The journey of the school however remained undeterred. With the same zeal and enthusiasm, the Blue Bellians organized a special assembly on a virtual platform showcasing their spirit that nothing can stop them from honouring their commitment. The occasion was embellished by the illustrious presence of Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati , esteemed Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools. Mr. S.N. Batra, General Manager Corporate Affairs , BBGS , Mr. Ajay Thakur , Deputy General Manager , BBGS and Mr. Achal Jain, Controller Finance & Accounts, BBGS also blessed all with their dynamic presence.

The celebration was given a befitting start through  a video showcasing the glimpses of offline and online mode of honouring the multitasking force (MTS ) of the school. The students presented a  poem  and dance that threw light on educating and supporting the labour in best possible way. They also highlighted the historical events that contributed to the emergence of labour rights and the significance of the day in the present time.  The objective of the event was to develop  a better understanding of our helpers among our students so that they  learn to respect and appreciate their efforts.

Speaking on the occasion, Director Ma’am complemented and applauded students’ and teachers’ efforts for making the event a success. She rightly quoted that it is labour indeed who puts the difference on everything and thanked them for their untiring and wholehearted contribution for the school. Mr. Arpita Acharya , Officiating Principal , Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School proposed the Vote of Thanks.

World Book Day

"Books are a uniquely portable magic."  Stephen King. 

 To make the students experience the magic of books, a special assembly on World Book Day was organised by the students of Primary Wing and Middle Wing on April 23, 2021 .

 The entire programme was full of amazing presentations which included poems, Book Parade, Meeting the Authors, self-composed song, quiz and an animated story on ‘The Importance of Reading’. The assembly was highly appreciated by Ms Arpita Acharya, Officiating Principal of the school. She encouraged the students to make reading a regular part of their schedule.
