VACCINATION DRIVE AT BBPS

As Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School launched the Drive for vaccination of 15-18 year olds in the school premises on January 07, 2022, the parents and the students expressed happiness and relief, especially in the backdrop of fresh rise in cases.

The school was all set to welcome the students for vaccination with attractive selfie points and informative posters. Waiting Area, Observation Area, Registration Counters etc. were all well in place for the drive. Overall 198 students were administered the first dose.

Municipal Councillor, Mr. Brahm Prakash Yadav, present on the occasion, addressed the parents and students. The Principal (Off), Ms. Arpita Acharya reiterated that the youth of the nation has a very important role to play in this fight against Covid 19 and encouraged them to follow all Covid protocols as seriously as ever, even after vaccination. CHRISTMAS FIESTA AT BBPS

A fun-filled Christmas Fiesta 'Santa's Paradise' was organized on December 24, 2021 for the little ones of Classes Nursery-II. It was an extravaganza which saw a huge turnout of students and their parents. The visitors were awestruck when they entered the school ground as what they saw looked like a huge Santa’s Village. The entire place was decked in the hues of red, white and green. A wonderful ‘Elves’ Village’ was created through which the students’ work was showcased. The Health and Wellness Team also put up a stall where they explained the programme being conducted in Grades I and II. Students organised interactive games for the visitors.

The live performances of the carols and dances enthralled the programme everyone and created a heavenly ambience. The Ramp Walk was highly successful with lots of tiny-tots and their parents taking part. The Puppet Corner was a delight and the stories were enjoyed by the visitors of all age groups. The delicious muffins at the Food Corner were a delightful Christmas treat for everyone. The Sports Arena reverberated with the cheers of the tiny-tots.

The event was highly successful as it added cheer and joy to the festive spirit.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON ‘ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY'

A special assembly was conducted by the students of Grades VI B and D on December 16,2021 on the theme Energy Conservation. The students highlighted how there is a scarcity of non-renewable sources of energy so it is important to save them. Also, they advocated that we should switch to renewable sources of energy.

The assembly began with the beautiful thought on Energy Conservation and comprised of a very informative skit, self composed poem and dance. A PowerPoint presentation by the students also depicted the possibility of using alternative sources of energy very beautifully.

Honourable Director, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to take care of the renewable and non-renewable sources of energy. Ma’am also motivated the students to take care of their own physical, spiritual and mental energies. Ms. Suneeta Kaul, Middle Wing Leader proposed the Vote of Thanks.The students grasped that conserving energy is the need of the hour and the effort was appreciated by one and all.

INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL EXCHANGE SESSION

INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL EXCHANGE SESSION BETWEEN Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School AND AICHI PREFECTUAL KOROMODAI SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL, JAPAN

Blue Bells believes in promoting internationalism in integration with the curriculum. Continuing with the series of international connects and to ensure that our students are able to successfully transcend geo-political boundaries, a session of Internationalism was organized by school on December 16, 2021 on a virtual platform with Aichi Prefectual Koromodai Senior High School, Japan. Students from both the schools exchanged information about their language, food, famous personalities and culture.

Blue Bellians presented interesting information about their country in the form of a PPT which was well lauded by their Japanese peers. Students from both the schools took turns to ask each other more about their respective countries. It was an engaging session for all the students and teachers involved.

INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL EXCHANGE SESSION BY Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School ON THE THEME - ‘ INTEGRATION OF MUSIC WITH LANGUAGE’   We at Blue Bells believe, “One who knows to integrate language and music lives as many lives as the languages and music he knows.” It brings forth a different vision of life which contributes in transcending barriers and strengthening emotional bindings across humanity. To   strengthen the spirit of learning with international brotherhood and also provide a platform to the scholars to become global citizens by transcending geo-political boundaries, a session of Internationalism was organized by school on December 4, 2021 on a virtual platform with Step by Step, School of Foreign Languages, Skopje, North Macedonia on the theme, ‘ Integration of music with languages for holistic growth and empowerment.’   Blue Bellians presented the understanding of the theme in an interesting and absorbing manner with a perfect blend of music and dance presentations. The programme started with a self-composed poem presentation followed by the all religion prayer , a song presentation in French  and a dance presentation depicting  the cultural and language diversity of our nation. The students of Step by Step School spoke about the importance of music in life and also how it helps one spiritually. They showcased a presentation tracing the history of music in enriching language competencies and skills. The last part of the session was an Open House where the students from both the  schools interacted freely. The members from both the schools promised to meet on a regular basis.  It was a unique learning rendezvous for all.

A special assembly was organised on November 18, 2021 on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti with great fervour and zeal. The students shed light on the significance of celebrating Guru Purab. Through a very impressive and comprehensive presentation, they talked about the invaluable teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji which show us the correct path. The highlight of the assembly was the presentation of hymns sung by the students, teachers, parents and grandparents of the students. The soulful shabads filled the atmosphere with serenity. The assembly was graced by Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Honourable Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools .

Speaking on the occasion, revered Director Madam blessed the students and urged them to follow Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings. She congratulated the students for presenting such a spiritual assembly. The assembly was successful in creating an aura of joy, peace and reverence.

CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

 Children’s Day, the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru was celebrated   in the Pre-Primary Wing and Primary Wing of the school with great enthusiasm and zeal. Students were presented a bouquet of surprises to make the day a memorable one for them.

The fun bonanza began when the students received beautiful greeting cards from their class teachers wishing them ‘Happy Children’s Day’. A ‘Class Party’ was held wherein the students and teachers together enjoyed their breakfast and had lots of fun playing games.

Students received a mega surprise when they got an invitation for a Special Assembly which was being organised for them by their teachers on November 16, 2021 2021. They were delighted to see the power packed performances by the teachers, which included a melodious musical presentation, messages for children through Smiley Emoticons, medley of Action Songs, fun quiz, dance presentation and some useful tips 'Magic Beans'. The assembly was infused with immense fun and laughter as the students were thrilled to see their teachers presenting with such joy and vigour.

Madam Arpita Acharya, Officiating Principal applauded the efforts of teachers for putting up a great show for the students. Madam Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Leader showered her blessings on children on this special day.

Kindness Matters Campaign

“A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.” – Amelia Earhart

With the objective of inculcating values and life skills among students, Kindness Matters Campaign was conducted as a part of Peer Educators Programme, under the aegis of Health & Wellness Programme, Blue Bells Group of Schools. 

The School collaborated with UNESCO MGIEP for their #KindnessMatters Global Campaign, with an aim to create a positive culture of kindness and to strengthen empathy and compassion across the learning environments of students.The campaign saw participation from 107 schools across India.

The Peer Educators of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School conducted this campaign from July 2021 to

September 2021 with students, teachers and parents of the school. The campaign was carried out by the Health & Wellness Ambassador, Lipika Dudeja, along with senior school peer educators and students of the school.They collected kindness stories and pictures through google forms.There was an active participation from all age groups.

The names of the participating schools have featured on the official website of the UNMGIEP. These stories will add to the youth voices that are collectively working towards mobilising an International Day of Kindness later in the year.

JOYOUS DIWALI CELEBRATION BY BLUE BELLIANS

Celebrating festivals is a glorious way to rejoice our culture, traditions and heritage.

A colourful cultural extravaganza was organised by the Blue Bellians on October 29, 2021 to capture the exhilaration and celebratory spirit of the festival of Diwali. The melodious and well-synchronised song by the choir gave a perfect beginning to the festivity. Among the host of mesmerising presentations was a skit that made the occasion more meaningful as it gave a strong message of sharing the joy with others. The well-choreographed peppy dances were the show stealers as they brought in a lot of fun and cheer.

The lovely and creative craft work done by the students reflected their zest for the festival. The tiny-tots left the audience spellbound when they shared their ideas of celebrating the festival through their affectionate messages.

The event was graced with the presence of Honourable Director Ma’am, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati. Addressing the audience, Ma’am congratulated the entire team for curating such a magnificent show. She encouraged everyone to celebrate a ‘Cracker Free and Green Diwali’ and spread happiness through caring for the environment.

21st Foundation Day

Blue Bellians got an opportunity to deliberate on the success story of BBPS, celebrate its history and the incredible ways in which it has evolved as a community of students, teachers, staff, alumni and parents on the remarkable occasion of its 21st Foundation Day celebrated today.

The energy and passion of the students were visible in the performances that they put up. The day started with a Hawan which was followed by an Athletic Meet for Classes VI to VIII and a host of cultural programmes. The teachers and staff members cherished the moments, shared their experiences and promised to collaborate their efforts for the glorification of school. Honourable Director, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati congratulated the staff, students and parents on the occasion and remarked that it is a collaborative effort of everyone that will make the school attain even greater heights. Ms. Kiran Nautiyal, Middle Wing Leader, proposed the Vote of Thanks and expressed gratitude towards all stakeholders.
