WORLD STUDENTS’ DAY CELEBRATION

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world."

- APJ Abdul Kalam.

It was an opportune moment when the students of Class VII of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School presented the assembly on the theme ‘World Students’ Day” . Students started the assembly by sharing that October 15 of every year is celebrated as World Students' Day in honour of former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam, who was born on the same day in 1931. The day aims to acknowledge the efforts of Sir Kalam towards education.

The assembly was initiated with an invocation to the Almighty, followed by school pledge and sharing of Thought and News. The students presented a well crafted dance drama which was based on the importance of believing in oneself.The students felt inspired by Dr. Abdul Kalam’s life struggle during his childhood. It was a great learning experience for them.

The assembly was well appreciated by all and closed on a note that we should acknowledge the teachings and contributions of the great leaders.

The students were also apprised  about the importance of the same by the leaders of the school. The assembly was heartily lauded by all as the audience was mesmerized with the fine diction and thought-provoking presentation on the topic.

WEEK 3 – Climate Action Project

The Climate Action Project is an international project that offers opportunities to both teachers and students to contribute towards taking care of the climate in authentic ways. The main goal of the initiative is to change students’ behaviour and societies’ mindset through this 6 week long project, for being more sensitive towards the environment.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School is being represented by a team of 25 teachers and students as a part of the project.

The activity for Week 3 was’ Local to Global’ . The students explored the causes and effects of climate change, locally and globally. As a part of the same, the students of BBPS had an International Connect with Colegio Positivo International School, Brazil.

The students from the two countries shared their local climatic problems, solutions and how the government , local bodies , citizens and students are working together towards the common goal of taking care of climatic conditions. They also discussed  how each human is impacting the global climate .

The online exchange program started with a beautiful welcome song followed by a presentation from BBPS explaining the effects of climate change, measures taken by the school like zero plastic use, RO water recycling, practicing 3R's, segregation of waste, use of CNG buses, carpooling etc. to protect the climate and reduce carbon footprints. The students also presented a cultural dance depicting the Navratri festival celebration across India which was applauded by all the spectators.

The presentations were then given by the Brazilian students explaining the problems of droughts, floods and other calamities that have been caused in Brazil due to climate changes and how they are trying to overcome these problems. The students also presented a glimpse of their culture by presenting a melodious song.

Towards the end, the students of both the countries took a Pledge to Save Planet Earth.

The session concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Leader, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School. It was an enriching experience for all the participants.

Clay Modelling Workshop & Competition

Sculptor in Making-A Clay Modelling Workshop & Competition

A Clay Modelling Workshop cum Competition was organised in the online mode for the little ones from the age group 3-5 years on October 9, 2021. In the workshop 'Sculptor in Making', the kids and their parents learnt how to make homemade non-toxic clay and mould it into different shapes.

Children and their parents were given a warm welcome to the workshop with a cheerful song. An entertaining story narration by the teachers of the Pre-Primary Wing kept the kids enthralled. It was followed by an engaging session in which students had fun making different animals, fruits and vegetables using homemade non-toxic clay. They participated with a lot of gaiety and enthusiasm. At the end, the young Blue Bellians presented their creativity and their parents expressed their joy at being a part of this event. They were all geared up for the competition which was open till the evening. Madam Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Leader appreciated the creativity of the students and apprised them about the competition that followed. With a large number of entries pouring in, the judges had a tough yet exciting time to decide the winners.

GENESIS- HEALTH & WELLNESS FIESTA

GENESIS-  HEALTH & WELLNESS FIESTA, AN INTER SCHOOL MEGA LIFE SKILLS EVENT  HOSTED BY Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School , SECTOR 10, GURUGRAM

With the objective of honing desired excellence by meticulously refining and polishing the 21st Century Skills, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School hosted  ‘Genesis -Health and Wellness Fiesta-An Inter School Mega Life Skills Event 2021-22’ on October 08 & 09 , 2021 under the aegis of GPSC and Health and Wellness Programme , Blue Bells Group of Schools. Dr. Alka Saxena , Deputy Director ( Health & Wellness) , BBGS has been  the guiding force behind the concept , planning and concretizing the event to a beautiful reality. An Inter School Debate Competition on Life Skills for Classes IX-XII was organized to mark the occasion. This creative extravaganza provided a platform where adolescents shared their innovative ideas and expressed explicitly. 

The creativity and expression of the participants was adjudged by the eminent personalities from the field of education, culture and Health & Wellness.  It was a remarkable way in which the Gen Now maximized  their creative potential and exhibited their incredible expression in the war of words. The Result was :-

Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati , revered Director congratulated the winners as well as the team for a marvelous presentation.  Ma’am emphasized on the importance of Life Skills  in holistic development of the personality.

World Tourism Day Celebration

“Travelling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller.” – Ibn Battuta

A Special Assembly was conducted by Class III B on September 27, 2021 to commemorate World Tourism Day. The little zealous travellers of III B advocated travel to enrich one’s life and made the entire assembly replete with messages for the tourist in us. Along with the usual features of an assembly, there was a mesmerising Mime Show on etiquettes to be followed, a song to spread the joys of meeting new people and an exhilarating virtual tour of top 5 destinations of the world. Students enriched everyone’s knowledge by sharing some amazing facts on tourism and tourist destinations. They were amazed to see the photographs of their family visits to different places during the happier times.

Mrs. Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Incharge congratulated the students for their presentation and blessed them on the occasion.

The assembly was very enriching and entertaining.

Grandparents Day

'A Salute to Our Roots'

Grandparents are the family’s greatest treasure, the founders of a loving legacy, the greatest storytellers, and the keepers of tradition.  Through their special love and care, grandparents keep a family close at heart. To honour their presence in our lives, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School celebrated Grandparents' Day on Friday, October 01, 2021, in the online mode. 

The programme was divided into two parts- a story-telling session by the grandparents in the morning, followed by a full-fledged cultural event organised by the students for their grandparents in the afternoon.

The students of Classes Nursery to UKG attended story narration session by their grandparents .The session was full of fun, joy and love which helped creating memories for the little ones. The children were ?overjoyed to have their grandparents narrate stories. The grandparents narrated the stories in a very interesting manner and shared their experiences with the little ones .

In the afternoon, the cultural programme began on the Zoom Webinar Platform with a Welcome Address extended by Ms. Arpita Acharya, Principal (off). The students were excited to present a mesmerising song, followed by a power packed dance performance and a heart-touching skit highlighting the role and importance of the grandparents in our lives. They left the spectators spellbound and thoroughly mesmerized by their performances. The icing on the cake was the set of especially curated and collated activities performed by the students and their grandparents which showcased the special bond they shared. These activities included singing a song, dancing together, sharing details about the family members from generations past through making of a Family Tree, spending quality time together etc. The grandparents shared some precious moments with the audience and relived their childhood with their grandchildren. The students presented Thank You cards to their lovely grandparents as an expression of gratitude for everything they do for them.

Honourable Director Madam, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati addressed the grandparents and students and appreciated this wonderful bond. Ma'am also highlighted the importance of having the guidance of the grandparents on day-to-day basis, for the little ones. Ma'am congratulated everyone for putting up a beautiful show. Ms. Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Leader proposed the Vote of Thanks. The success of the event was evident through the joyful smiles and teary eyes of the grandparents as they were overwhelmed to see their grandchildren performing for them.

INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY CELEBRATION

A Special Assembly was organized by Class III C on September 22, 2021 to commemorate the International Peace Day with great enthusiasm.

The programme commenced with the chanting of Gayatri Mantra and the school prayer. This was followed by a delightful poem, a melodious song and a dance presentation highlighting the importance of a peaceful society. Taking the spirit of the event higher, a role play about the famous Nobel Peace Prize Winners was presented and students expressed their understanding of the messages given by the personalities. The presentation concluded with a pledge to spread peace, love and harmony all across.

The entire programme was an honest effort of the little Blue Bellians to sensitise everyone about the importance of world peace.

SWATCHCHTA PAKHWADA

BLUE BELLIANS CELEBRATE SWATCHCHTA PAKHWADA

Swachhta Pakhwada was celebrated in the premises of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School on September 23,2021 to sensitize the students about the importance of maintaining cleanliness and hygiene. Being popularised as the citizens' movement, the idea behind the endeavour is to bring to light the small steps that can be taken to promote a cleaner environment.

The programme showcased an informative presentation on the activities conducted at school to protect the environment. It included promotion of 3Rs( Reduce, Recycle, Reuse), taking care of personal hygiene and segregation of waste. It was followed by a Street Play in which the students put forth the idea of everyone contributing towards creating better and cleaner surroundings.

The occasion was graced by the presence of City Team Leader(Sawacha Bharat Mantralay ) Ms Moni Prakash, Founder /Brand Ambassador Buland Aawaz Society ,Sawachcha Bharat Abhiyan Nagar Nigam-Mr Kuldeep Hindustani and Mr. Sanjeev Sharma ,IEC Expert ,Eco Green. They expressed their happiness at the efforts being made by the school and encouraged the students to work towards a greener planet.

Ms Arpita Acharya, Principal (Off) presented mementos to the guests and extended the Vote of Thanks.

Special Assembly on World Ozone Day

Ozone layer is like a blanket around the earth, protecting us all against the harmful ultraviolet rays of the Sun and World Ozone Day is a reminder that we need to be protect this layer. A special assembly was conducted by the students of Class IV-C on September 17, 2021 to create awareness towards the protection of the Ozone Layer on the occasion of International Day of Preservation of Ozone Layer.

Through a very impressive and well thought of presentation ‘SDG 13- A Science Conference on Climate Action’, students apprised the audience about the ozone layer and its importance in protecting us from the harmful UV rays. A very meaningful song on ‘Montreal Protocol’ and a well- choreographed dance presentation helped to understand the intricacies of the problem that has been caused by the human action and the corrective measures that should be taken up to restore the health of the Ozone Layer and thus  of our planet.

Madam Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Incharge appreciated the theme of the assembly and the hard work put in by the students in spreading the awareness about this issue through the assembly. She congratulated the students and their mentors for taking up a concern which needs immediate attention and presenting it so beautifully.

A DAY DEDICATED TO TEACHERS

 The students of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School hosted a warm event to express their gratitude towards their teachers, on September 15,2021. The whole event was meticulously planned by the members of the Student Council and other students of Class XII.

The programme commenced with the Gayatri Mantra, followed by a host of breathtaking performances- including solo and group songs, a complete musical concert, group dance and interesting games for teachers.

Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati graced the occasion as the Honoured Guest and addressed the students and teachers on the inherent qualities to be a successful teacher. All the teachers cheered, motivated and thanked the students with a wide smile. Ms. Arpita Acharya, Principal (off.) appreciated the efforts put in by the students.

The entire programme was applauded by everyone and will always remain a beautiful memory in the hearts of one and all present.
