Education goes beyond shaping us as individuals and enhancing our perspectives. The most important thing is insight provided by education, that is ... the curiosity to wonder, to think and to muse why it is that a child does what he does. And if you have that, then you are on the right path to have the commitment and the ability to push through the all the challenges until reaching competency.

In sync with the same, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School hosted ‘Learning Unbound Chapter 2021-22’ on February 25 & 26, 2022, a much-awaited annual event for the students of the Primary Wing.

The themes ‘Governing Ourselves’ and ‘How the World Works’ were showcased through ‘Ideate, Innovate, Create’ following 5R’s for sustainable future in all the projects and presentations. The event was conceptualized by ‘The Learning Space’ under the inspirational guidance of Ms. Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development and Innovations), BBGS and it provided ample opportunities to the students to showcase their learning throughout the year.

The IT Team of the school under the leadership of Ms. Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director –IT, BBGS developed a virtual platform to make this event possible. The event began on February 25, 2022 with a well synchronized Opening Ceremony. Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, BBGS graced the occasion with her inspiring presence and declared the event open for all.

The parents navigated through the portal and were greatly fascinated by the work of the students displayed in the image galleries, videos galleries and the achievements of the students in the current session.

The presentation by the Learning & Development Team helped the parents get a deeper understanding of the process of pedagogy followed in the school.

The Health &Wellness team under the leadership of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness) Blue Bells Group of Schools showcased a spectacular presentation, Elixir: ‘Find Your Essence’ as an integral part of Academic Fest ‘Learning Unbound- Chapter 2021-22.

An overview of the Health & Wellness programme was presented through an audio-video presentation where it we showcased a panoramic view of the various activities and events undertaken by the programme.

Dr. Alka offered an insight about the importance of Value Education and how it is imbibed easily through School Cinema making learning fun-filled and impactful.

Image Gallery for Classes III, IV and V showcased the Value Education learning to the optimum. In Live Connect, students welcomed the parents and engaged them through interesting and thought-provoking energizers, School Cinema Movies and activities related to the movies. The parents enjoyed the movies participated in activities with full zeal & vigour and appreciated the students’ performance.

These activities reflect our in-house teaching methodologies, where we focus on ensuring that students imbibe values and incorporate them in the real world. The Image Gallery, Video Gallery and Live Connect sessions were appreciated by the spectators. The display left an indelible impact on the parents and they lauded the efforts of the team.

The Live Connect Rooms were full of cheer and laughter as the parents interacted with the students and enjoyed their childhood once again by participating in various games in different subjects and activities.

The event was embellished with the gracious presence of International Guests. Ms. Fahmida Mohamed, Ms. Sandra Grujevska, Ms. Minhngochhpt and Ms. Vedrana Sarec visited all the live connect rooms and were thoroughly overwhelmed with the meticulously researched and executed projects based on Design Thinking. They praised the students for the creativity and confidence they had showcased in their presentations.

INTERACTIVE SESSION WITH PARENTS

The most overwhelming key to child’s success is the positive involvement of the parents.

At Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, parents and teachers work together to give the students the roots to grow and the wings to fly. In sync with this, an interactive session was organised for the students and parents of Grades Nursery to UKG on February 5, 2022.

The zealous students extended a warm welcome to the parents and presented Gayatri Mantra, School Prayer, School Song and ‘Thought of the day’ very skillfully. Thereafter, a Yoga session was conducted for the parents and the students.

The rendition of Saraswati Vandana by the little ones, to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati on the occasion of Basant Panchami left the parents spellbound. Students and parents dressed in different hues and tints of yellow was a lovely sight and reminded everyone of the arrival of the Spring Season. The enthusiasm of the students and parents was indeed palpable as they enjoyed a lot of fun-filled activities during the session. The facilitators thanked the parents for their precious time and for making the event a grand success.

BASANT PANCHAMI CELEBRATION

The school celebrated Basant Panchmi, the festival which marks the end of the winter season and onset of spring on February 05, 2022. The premises was abuzz with the festive spirit and reiterating the different moods of this festival, teachers were all dressed in yellow colour keeping attune with the ripened mustard. The celebrations commenced with the Saraswati Vandana, invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati for seeking knowledge and wisdom.

Our tiny tots were also gleaming with pleasure as they celebrated the auspicious festival of Basant Panchami and welcome the Spring Season on a virtual platform. The unbound joy was reflected in the smiling faces of these little ones. May Goddess Saraswati shower her blessings on all of us.

CAREER CONFLUENCE

A hallmark of Blue Bells education is to equip the students with two essential ingredients of life: Strong Roots and Powerful Wings so as to empower them fly higher and live independently. There is a concerted effort to involve students in the broader streams of life outside the classroom so that they are able to relate their learnings to day to day life activities.

In sync with the same objective and to equip the learners with the requisite knowledge and skills to make better career and life decisions, the school organizes Career Confluence every year as a part of Health & Wellness Programme under the patronage of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS. The Session was virtually held for the students of Classes XI & XII  on career choices after school  on January 18, 2022.

Career Confluence provides a platform to students to listen to learned stalwarts in the field of career counselling. The Health & Wellness Ambassador and the Peer Mentor  welcomed Mr. Binit Kumar Binod, Mentor and Consultant to conduct this session. He introduced the students to a host of emerging careers in science, commerce and humanities. He  also introduced them to new age career options covering vocational careers, skill-based careers, careers that go beyond familiar streams along with a range of courses. Besides this, he  talked about the many unconventional careers that students could explore and opt for and those best suited to their aptitude, interest, skills, passion and personality. 

Additionally, he also helped students understand the importance of planning for their career early, busted some common myths, and covered other aspects to enable students to choose the right option while selecting their stream.

The last part of the session was an interactive ‘Question Answer Round’ which helped students to clarify several concerns regarding career choices. With an overwhelming participation by students and parents, the Confluence was a huge success.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

“With freedom in mind, faith in our heart, memories in our souls, let’s salute the Nation on Republic Day.”

Celebration gains depth and dignity when it has a tinge of sanctity and sacredness. With this virtuous thought, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector-10, Gurugram celebrated the  73rd Republic Day on January 25, 2022 to mark the iconic moment of Indian history when India's constitution came into being declaring the country as an Independent Republic Nation. The moment became momentous with the gracious presence of Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, esteemed Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools.

The students presented a spectacular scintillating cultural programme where there was a perfect blend of songs, poem, sports  and dance presentation depicting their commitment of making the world a better place by working on international integration and peace. Blue Bellians  presented the futuristic vision of India, where all the citizens will be working in unison to spread the message of love, brotherhood, peace and prosperity.

Speaking on the occasion , Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati , revered Director  highlighted about the golden heritage of our country and urged all Blue Bellians to feel proud to be a part of an ever shining India.  Ms. Arpita Acharya, Officiating Principal of the school proposed the Vote of Thanks.

The celebration testified the students’ commitment and dedication towards their homeland.

BBPS CELEBRATES FIT INDIA WEEK

As India is celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), 3rd edition of Fit India School Week is dedicated to commemoration of AKAM in schools highlighting importance of fitness in today’s time. It is planned to renaissance students in schools after the pandemic by providing them pathway to inculcate the habit of fitness in a new and innovative ways.

In sync with the same, an array of activities was organised by the Sports Department of the school for the students across all age groups. The efforts of the school have been recognised by the Ministry of Sports and Home Affairs, Government of India.

AN ENRICHING INTERNATIONAL EXPOSURE FOR BLUE BELLIANS

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School believes in fostering the spirit of the Indian values of “Vishwa Kutumbakam”, the "world is a family", by integrating Internationalism within its curriculum. Encouraging its students to transcend global boundaries, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School yet again provided its students with a platform which allowed them to connect with the students of Hassan I Middle School, Sidi Ifni, Morocco on January 21, 2022. During this session, the Blue Bellians were provided with an opportunity to spread the essence of the great Indian culture to their peers in Morocco, while simultaneously gaining knowledge about the traditions and values practiced there.

The presentations from both the schools were followed by a live question and answer session between the students of the two countries providing them with further insight into each other’s customs. A fruitful session for everyone involved, it is sure to leave a positive mark in the lives of all the participants.

CONCOURS DE MATH 1.0- THE MATH FEST

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, SECTOR 10, GURUGRAM CELERBATED MATHEMATICS BY ORGANISING CONCOURS DE MATH 1.0- THE MATH FEST

Enhancing the diverse thinking among students and helping them hone their creative spirit and critical thinking skills, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School,  Sector 10 , Gurugram, organised Concours De Math 1.0 – The Math Fest in the virtual mode from December 22, 2021 to January 15, 2022. Many  reputed schools of Delhi-NCR participated in the competition to showcase their talent and flair for Mathematics. The events comprised of Mathematical Poetry, Food Art with Shapes, Math-Based Storytelling, Poster Making, Designing a Toy, Rap and 3D Model Making.

The Closing Ceremony was organised on January 15, 2022 in the virtual mode which witnessed the illustrious presence of an eminent jury comprising of Mr Sunil Bajaj , Deputy Director and HOD Mathematics , SCERT,  Ms Chetna Sabharwal, a renowned author in the field of Mathematics and Psychology, Mr O.P. Gupta, a proud recipient of prestigious Indira Award by the Government of Delhi and a renowned author, Ms Komal Tevathia, Ms Ruchi Mittal ,  an Assistant Professor, Department of Elementary Education Institute of Home Economics, University of Delhi, Ms. Roseleen Bahl,  an academician and many other renowned educationists.

 Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Honourable Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools, graced the occasion and blessed everyone with her radiant presence. Speaking on the occasion, Director Madam congratulated the school team for the organizing the event and marvellous performances and presentation. Ma’am further wished everyone luck for the future ventures.

Ms. Arpita Acharya, Principal (Off) proposed the Vote of Thanks. The Mega Event was thoroughly enjoyed by the participating schools as it helped children enter into the world of Mathematics and partake in the joy of learning.

BBPS CELEBRATES NATIONAL YOUTH DAY

On the occasion of the National Youth Day, the students of Classes VI to XII of BBPS organised a variety of activities during their Social Science classes to celebrate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

Swami Vivekananda in his message to youth very aptly said “Whatever you think, you will be….You think yourself strong, strong you will be.” We also truly believe in the potential of our young students as they are the future of our country.

The students commemorated the occasion by  presenting their views with the help of PPT presentations. They prepared posters, videos, song and dance presentations to make the celebration grander.

VACCINATION DRIVE AT BBPS

As Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School launched the Drive for vaccination of 15-18 year olds in the school premises on January 07, 2022, the parents and the students expressed happiness and relief, especially in the backdrop of fresh rise in cases.

The school was all set to welcome the students for vaccination with attractive selfie points and informative posters. Waiting Area, Observation Area, Registration Counters etc. were all well in place for the drive. Overall 198 students were administered the first dose.

Municipal Councillor, Mr. Brahm Prakash Yadav, present on the occasion, addressed the parents and students. The Principal (Off), Ms. Arpita Acharya reiterated that the youth of the nation has a very important role to play in this fight against Covid 19 and encouraged them to follow all Covid protocols as seriously as ever, even after vaccination. Ma'am thanked the Health Team from UPHC, Gandhi Nagar for their ardent support.
