Blue  Bells Public School organised an Inter-Class Volleyball Tournament for the students of Class XII on May 10, 2022 during the Sports Club periods. Ms. Arpita Acharya, the  Principal(off)   inaugurated the event and declared it open. The A team from each section of Class XII participated in the competition which was meant for both girls and boys. The Leadership Team was present on the occasion to wish the participants good luck and motivate them further.

A warm-up opening match was organised between the girls’ and boys’ teams which was followed by the matches between different sections. The well-trained and determined players gave each other a tough fight. The results of the day are as follows :

MOTHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

Mother, Mumma, Mommy, and Maa or just Mom are some of the names for the woman in our lives who loves us unconditionally, forever, and always. Mothers hand out confidence and motivation. They are the rock and support throughout our lives.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School organised a magnificent programme in the online mode to salute the spirit of motherhood and pay respect to the beautiful mother-child bond. The day that recognizes the essence of a mother was celebrated in high spirits and merriment. The students had curated a host of interesting activities to make the mothers feel more special and unique, and to bring a smile to their beloved mother’s faces. Dancing, Salad Dressing, Nail Art, and Mehndi Art and many other activities brought out the mother-child team spirit. They also passionately involved themselves in making beautiful greeting cards for their mothers. The students intensely and devotedly spoke about their mothers. It was a pleasure watching the dynamic and energetic children presenting something unique and special. The outcome of their efforts was marvellous.

Heart-warming feelings filled the air with intimacy, gratitude, appreciation and acknowledgement as the students proudly echoed and enchanted their emotions. Honourable Director, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati congratulated the mothers and wished them a Happy Mother’s Day. Principal (off) Ms. Arpita Acharya also expressed her warm emotions and thanked the mothers for their presence. All in all, it was an enjoyable and memorable day for each and every child and mother which left an indubitable mark on the innocent hearts.

MOTHER’S DAY ASSEMBLY

“A garden of love blooms in a mother’s heart.”

The shining stars of Grade I A presented a Special Assembly on May 6, 2022 to acknowledge and appreciate the irreplaceable presence mothers have in our lives. The assembly started with the chanting of Gayatri Manta followed by the school prayer to seek the blessings of the Almighty. The confident and zealous students presented a splendid programme in which they shared an insightful thought on Mothers, presented the News Headlines and recited a delightful rhyme. The crooning of the little singers poured out their emotions through their heart-warming song and mesmerised the audience. An energetic dance presentation at the end was a crowning stroke.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Primary Wing Leader Ms. Meenakshi Malhotra exhorted the students to express their love and affection towards their Mothers, not only on this day but every day.

RABINDRANATH JAYANTI CELEBRATION

“Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it.”- Rabindranath Tagore

Rabindra Jayanti is the day which marks the birth anniversary of the great scholar and Nobel Laureate, Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore. To honour the memory of this polymath, the students of Grade VC presented a Special Assembly on Rabindra Jayanti on May 5, 2022.

The students gave a splendid presentation on the life of Gurudev alongwith his contributions to the fields of art and literature. They paid rich tribute to Gurudev through the presentation of a graceful dance, melodious songs, poem recitation and recitals from his repertoire.

Throwing light on the role of Tagore in the freedom struggle, the significance of the call ‘Ekla chalo’, establishment of Shanti Niketan and the collection of poems ‘Geetanjali’, the students gave magnificent presentations and highlighted Gurudev’s contributions.

All the students participated with much enthusiasm, fervour and aplomb. The whole programme was a spectacular event to look out for.

International Dance Day Celebration

“Great dancers are not great because of their technique; they are great because of their passion.”

Each year, the 29th of April is celebrated as International Dance Day to highlight the amazing diversity and talent of dancers all over the globe. This year, the students of Grade II C conducted a Special Assembly to celebrate the special place dance holds in our lives.

Along with the other regular features of the assembly, an inspiring poem was recited by the students on the theme ‘Dance is the language of the soul’ to emphasise how dance can be used as a medium for expression. Through a Talk Show, the students shared how dance brings happiness in their lives.

An interesting quiz on different dance styles around the globe was conducted. It was followed by a fantabulous dance presentation that left the audience in awe.

The assembly concluded with the address by Primary Wing Leader, Ms. Meenakshi Malhotra, who motivated and enriched the young minds to follow any dance form to keep themselves physically and mentally fit.

STUDENTS EXPRESSING THEIR GRATITUDE ON THE OCCASION OF LABOUR'S DAY

The students of Classes IX B and IX C  presented a Special Assembly on account of Labour's Day. All the support staff members were present on the occasion. The students planned and executed many activities to make them feel special on this day. A Nukkad Natak on the importance of labour, an energetic dance performance and a self composed Hindi poem were the highlights of the assembly.

The members of the Student Council expressed their gratitude towards the Support Staff by presenting Thank You cards to them. Officiating Principal, Ms. Arpita Acharya addressed the support staff members and thanked them for their hard work.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY AT THE PRIMARY WING OF BBPS-CROWNING THE LEADERS OF TOMORROW

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School organised the Investiture Ceremony for the Primary Wing on April30, 2022. It was a red- letter day for the Primary Wing as the students who proved their mettle in the leadership skills were felicitated and honoured. It was a moment of pride and honour as the young leaders marched into the Seminar Hall with their steps in sync and heads held high. The ceremony started with Diya lighting and auspicious Ganesh Vandana. The School Song and the Motivational Song added to the dignity of the occasion.

Then came the much-awaited moment, the announcement of different positions in the Student Council wherein the new Council took the portfolio from the previous council. The young leaders were applauded by their parents and teachers.

Each member of the council expressed their gratitude and spoke about what the new responsibility meant for them. They promised to lead the others with trust, hope and encouragement.

This was followed by the entire Council taking an oath to discharge their duties with sincerity and fulfill all expectations.

Madam Arpita Acharya, Officiating Principal congratulated the members and exhorted them to do their duties with sincerity and grace. The chosen members held aloft their flags and wore their badges with pride as they promised to ‘Be Honest, Be Brave’.

BLUE BELLS PUBLIC SCHOOL HOSTS MOCK BBPSMUN 2022

We, at Blue Bells, visualize today’s youth as the harbingers of change , filled with hope of a better and progressive tomorrow. Exchange of ideas among youth is the foundation upon which  the progressive and constructive changes can be initiated for a better world. In pursuance of the same vision , the school hosted the Fifth Edition  of BBPSMUN 2022, an Intra School MUN for students of Classes VI—VIII, on the theme,’ Blue Bells For  Climate Control’ on April 26,2022. The agenda of the conference was ‘Climate Control-Paris Agreement’. The event was declared open by Charge D’ Affaires, Ms.Arpita Acharya, Principal (Off.) ,Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugran.  The presence of school alumni, seasoned MUNers added charm and excitement in  the young brigade to voice their opinion.

An Orientation Session was organized for the students on April 25,2022 wherein they were acquainted with more insight and in-depth details by the Executive Board members on the agenda of the conference- ‘Climate Control-Paris Agreement’. On Day 2, April   26,2022 , the simulation saw an enthusiastic participation of a large number of students for the first time. The event was an earnest attempt to provide a platform for Gen Now to deliberate over the world affairs and draw a consensus on a broader frame. The MUN was hosted with an objective of improving the diplomacy and oratory skills of these young minds. The scholars were empowered  to widen their horizons and apply their knowledge from the practical world in a global arena. They understood the  issues and problems that exist not only in our country but also in the world that demand our immediate attention and action. The school team received a tremendous response and enthusiastic committee sessions.

The event proved to be an enriching experience for all the delegates as they exchanged innovative ideas and responded positively to their heart’s calling thereby ushering in a ‘golden age’ of hope and optimism with a  resolute focus on the issue of ‘Climate Control’.

INTERNATIONAL DANCE DAY

International Dance Day is a global celebration of dance, created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute (ITI), the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO. It is celebrated every year on the 29th of April to mark the birth anniversary of Jean Georges Noverre, creator of modern ballet.

An *Inter-class Dance Competition*  was organised by Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School on *April 29, 2022*. The competition began with great zest as the participants were beautifully dressed in colourful costumes. The enthusiastic dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. This was a true reflection of their dedication , passion and hardwork.The rhythm , synchronisation and choreography of the students was commendable. The following are the prize winners  who stole the hearts of the audience with their mesmerizing dance performances.

CELEBRATING WORLD HERITAGE DAY

A special assembly was conducted by the students of Class VIII B on the occasion of WORLD HERITAGE DAY Keeping in mind the theme 'Heritage and Culture' .

The assembly began by seeking the blessings of the Almighty through morning prayer, followed by a beautiful thought and news. Students also delivered a talk on World Heritage Day, highlighting upon its history, relevance and importance.

To convey the message in a more realistic and effective manner, the students showcased the SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD by using creative props. A mesmerizing dance performance by the girls in graceful outfits was also presented. The assembly was an amalgam of entertainment and information which truly spread the message to preserve monuments and heritage sites.

Officiating Principal, Ms. Arpita Acharya and Middle Wing Incharge, Ms. Suneeta Kaul complimented the efforts put in by every student and also the contribution of teachers for this insightful assembly. She also motivated the students to realize the importance of the message conveyed to them and to take a pledge to preserve our culture and heritage.
