GANESH CHATURTHI CELEBRATION

May Lord Ganesha give us a rainbow for every storm, a smile for every tear, a promise for every care, and an answer for every prayer!

Ganesh Chaturthi is observed to offer invocation to Lord Ganesha - the God of wisdom, patron of the arts and the sciences, and the remover of all obstacles.

The students of Class III C conducted a Special Assembly on September 1, 2022, to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The assembly commenced on a spiritual note with the presentation of Ganesh Vandana and the chanting of Ganesh Shlokas by the choir.

Students fervently shared their perspectives on the significance of this day through a thoughtful speech. It was followed by a beautiful skit on the life of Lord Ganesha. Paying tribute to the God of intellect, the students presented an astounding dance that added splendour to the entire assembly. The beautifully bedecked Ganesha was carried in a procession by excited students amidst cheers of “Ganpati Bappa Moriya!”. The resplendent parade of devotees carrying aloft their eco-friendly Ganesha drew admiring looks as it made its way through the school corridors to the assembly area.

The assembly was graced by the presence of Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools. Addressing the occasion, Madam appreciated the students for putting up a wonderful assembly.

The programme was concluded with the chants of ‘Ganapati Bappa Moriyaa’ in which all the students and teachers participated with full devotion and respect.

NATIONAL SPORTS DAY

"Sports teaches you to overcome failure, make you humble, keeps you fit and so many more things in life. It is very important for every human being to make sports an integral part of his/her life." -Harmeet Desai

National Sports Day is celebrated every year in India on August 29. The day is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Indian hockey legend, Major Dhyan Chand.

Major Dhyan Chand was a legendary figure in Indian and world hockey. He played a very significant role in helping India complete their first hat-trick of Olympic gold medals with victories at the 1928, 1932 and 1936 Summer Olympics.

To honour the legacy of Major Dhyan Chand and acknowledge the importance of sports in our life, the school organised a host of age-appropriate sports events for the students of Classes Nursery to XII on the occasion.

The students acknowledged the importance of the day and enjoyed every bit of the event.

WOMEN’S EQUALITY DAY

CLASS XI D HOSTS ASSEMBLY ON WOMEN’S EQUALITY DAY

An enlightening assembly was conducted by the students of Class XI D on the occasion of Women Equality Day which is celebrated on the 26th of August every year. It was a lively event that witnessed the celebration of the spirit of women’s empowerment and understanding of the fact that irrespective of gender, equality is important for all.

Along with the regular features of the assembly, the point was beautifully brought home by the students through a thought, an informative speech, and a quiz on women’s equality and empowerment.

Senior Wing Leader, Ms Preeti Phutela enlightened the students with her words of wisdom and shared the achievements of the young women brigade of the school in Board Exams. Ma'am encouraged both girls and boys to strive for excellence in all walks of life.

WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY

An energetic Class Assembly was presented by XI C on the theme ‘WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY'

World Humanitarian Day is commemorated every year on 19 August to pay tribute to humanitarian workers killed and injured in the course of their work, and to honour all aid and health workers who continue, despite the odds, to provide life-saving support and protection to people most in need.

The assembly commenced with the Morning Prayer which is believed to provide peace and serenity to our minds and souls followed by the regular features. The students presented a Ted-Talk and conducted an informative quiz. It was followed by a mesmerizing song on World Humanitarian Day.

Senior wing leader Ms Preeti Phutela explains the significance of Humanity to the kids and asked them to spread happiness.

The Principal, Ms Arpita Acharya addressed the gathering and motivated the students with her encouraging words of wisdom. The assembly culminated with the rendition of the National Anthem.

The assembly delivered a strong message that helping each other is an integral part of our lives.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

The students of class VII C organised a special assembly to celebrate Janamashtami and World Photography Day.

Students informed the audience about the significance of the day and how cameras and photography document memorable moments for a lifetime. They said that photography is a medium that has a universal value. They spoke about the various Indian photographers known for their work.

The students also presented a beautiful dance on the occasion of Janamashtami, a festival that commemorates the earthly arrival of Lord Krishna. The assembly concluded with a message from Principal Madam (off) ,Ms. Arpita Acharya on the significance of Janamashtami as a festival that encourages goodwill and togetherness.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

The auspicious occasion of the birth of Lord Krishna was celebrated with great pomp and festivity on August 18, 2022 by the students of Classes Nursery-V. The tiny-tots dressed up as Radha and Krishna. They added a traditional touch to the entire celebrations when they danced to the beat of Janmashtami songs, filling the air with joy and festive spirit. Various crafts like Flute Making, Crown Making and Matki decoration were organised for students to enhance their creative skills. All the students participated enthusiastically and exhibited their talents.

FARM TO TABLE ACTIVITY

In sync with the theme, ‘Farm To Table’, students of class UKG did the Dough Making Activity followed by making of Roti. These activities helped them to understand the series of processes the wheat grains undergo once they are ground into flour and reach our kitchen.

The students were given flour which they kneaded into dough. Each student was given the chance to make small balls out of the dough and then use rolling pins to make small chapattis. The students were thrilled as they were helped by the class teacher to make round chapattis on the cooking top.

A DAY FULL OF PATRIOTISM AND EXHILARATION – A NATIONAL PLAYER, CYCLOTHON AND AKAM AT BBPS

As a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) which marks the celebration of India’s 75 years of Independence, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School organised the ‘Tiranga Cyclothon’ event on August 12, 2022, which was graced by the presence of the most renowned figure of the Indian Women National Hockey Team – Ms. Preetam Siwach, Ex-captain, Indian Hockey Team as the esteemed Chief Guest.

Over 200 students from the Middle and the Senior Wing of the School participated in the Cyclothon event that was flagged off from the School Grounds by Madam Preetam Siwach and spanned a radius of about 2 kilometres from the school.

This event was followed by a patriotic cultural bonanza in which the students presented heart touching performances. In her address to the students, Ms. Siwach shared her experience of playing for the Nation for so many years and eventually being a coach too! Ma’am was felicitated and thanked for sparing her valuable time by the Leadership Team.

It was an experience to remember for each and every one present on the occasion.

CELEBRATING THE HUES OF FREEDOM – AKAM

The Independence Day commemorates the brave young men who gave up their lives to liberate India from the manacles of thraldom.

On the occasion of 76^th Independence Day, students of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School took part in various activities held over a week by under the theme – AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAVA.

?I-Day Quiz – As various events are organised across the country to celebrate this day, the School also organised a quick fun I-Day Quiz for the students of classes VI to VIII to celebrate how well they know their Motherland.

?Painting/Poster Making – Students used paint, colours, charts, etc to portray their views on Indian Independence. They came up with many ideas which reflected the spirit of freedom.

?Bookmark Making – A bookmark activity was also conducted wherein students of class VII made beautiful Bookmarks. Some of the ideas depicted were women empowerment after Independence, aerostatic display, rocket launches, flag and how the freedom fighters fought for our country and dedicated their lives for our freedom.

?Declamation – The Declamation Activity was organized for the students with the theme of Independence Day. It was aimed to develop communication skills and promote critical thinking among the students. The students were given the topics on which they were asked to present their views within the given time limit. They displayed confidence, enthusiasm and alertness while participating in the competition.

? One Act Play - Through the medium of role plays, students depicted the role of freedom fighters who were the reason behind Indian Independence and some depicted incidences such as Jallianwala Bagh. The acts presented by the students showed that they are aware of the struggle of the freedom fighters and they understand the value of freedom.

?Rangoli Making Competition -Be it any festive occasion, Rangoli colours play a big role in bringing out the cheerful spirit during these celebrations. Therefore, to promote this traditional artform among the students, an Inter-house Rangoli Making Competition was organised for the students of Classes IX and XI on August 12, 2022. They had to make a Rangoli based on the theme of Independence, in the stipulated time.

The children had pre-planned their patterns and had come prepared with all the materials, they required for making them. Selected colours and materials were provided to the teams just before the competition and the challenge was to creatively incorporate the given colours in their design. This Rangoli making competition motivated the students to perform and outshine in their creative skills and most important, work as a team to bring laurels to their house. The results for this event will be announced alongwith the Independence Day Celebration scheduled for August 13, 2022.

Respected Principal (off), Madam Arpita Acharya and the respective Wing Leaders appreciated the efforts of all the participants and encouraged other students too to come forward and participate in such events.

AKAM( Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav) at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School

The Tricolour hoisted majestically, a confident display of March Past, fervent patriotic renditions, splendid folk dances, army personnel and so much more! India’s 76^th Independence Day was celebrated at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School with great patriotic fervour.

The students of the school presented the journey of their beloved Motherland from the Revolt of 1857 to the current times through an informative dance-drama, ‘Kal, Aaj aur Kal’ and celebrated their rich cultural heritage. A supercharged Relay Race was also organised for the members of the Support Staff.

It was a proud moment to witness honourable Vice-chairman Mr. Ashish Gulati, Blue Bells Group of Schools hoisting the National Flag and addressing the students.  The event was also graced by the presence of Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director, Academic Development and Innovation, Blue Bells Group of Schools, Colonel Kishori Lal and Colonel Rakesh Yadav.

A Felicitation Ceremony was also  organised for the students who topped CBSE Class X and XII Board Examination from the School. The Tricolours were distributed to the students and the staff members to ensure that there is ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ as the Country celebrates Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav together.

The host of cultural activities left the audience spellbound and the performances were wholeheartedly appreciated by the guests.
