ASSEMBLY ON PLANTS –OUR FRIENDS

“To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow.”

Plants are the most beautiful and vital part of nature which help in supporting life on earth. Carrying forward this thought process, the students of Grade I B presented a Special Assembly on the theme ‘Plants – Our Friends’ on November 30, 2022.

The assembly commenced by invoking the blessings of the Almighty. The students shared a wonderful thought for the day and new vocabulary which were in sync with the theme.

The students presented a thought-provoking skit, a melodious song and a foot tapping dance showcasing their love and care about their beautiful green friends.

Addressing the students on the occasion, Madam Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Leader motivated the students to plant a sapling on their birthday every year and thus, increase the number of green friends that they have.

BBPS HOSTS INTER-SCHOOL IT FEST- CYBERTRONIX 2022.

 Cybertronix 2022 was proudly hosted by Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School to motivate the young technocrats to design, invent, innovate and create new technologies that not only make our lives easier but also make this world a better place to live in.

 The ceremony commenced with the invocation of the Almighty and the ceremonial lighting of the Lamp followed by the welcome address by the Leadership Team. Madam Anshuka Aneja, Deputy Director, IT, declared the event open and wished good luck to all the participating teams. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Rakshit Tandon as the esteemed Chief Guest. Sir enlightened everyone on the importance of Cyber Security and its advantages. The Closing Ceremony also witnessed the presence of Honourable Director, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati.

The day offered multitudinous activities to bring out the technical, creative, critical thinking, and scholastic skills of the students. The plethora of talent left one and all spellbound. Various events for classes III to XII were organised which included app designing, gaming, dance, stand-up comedy, robotics, photography etc., all with the theme Technovation. All the renowned schools of the city took part in the competition.

 The judges who specialised in their specific domains had a tough time declaring the winners for each event. Both the guests and the judges were left spellbound as they witnessed the students reaching out to become these technological geniuses and awarded the prizes to the most deserving teams.

 The Overall Trophy for the event was bagged by Blue Bells Model School and The HDFC School was declared as the Overall Runner Up. We extend our Heartiest Congratulations to all the stakeholders for the tremendous success of the event!

Eco Club Assembly

ECO CLUB ENCOURAGES SUSTAINABILITY

 The aim of the Eco Club is to spread awareness among students, parents, and neighbourhood for having sound environmental behaviour and to take up meaningful environmental activities and projects.

 The assembly on November 23, 2022, was conducted and presented by the students of Eco and Gardening Club and was a step in the same direction. The main objective of the assembly was to highlight the importance of Sustainable Development. The students discussed how our actions are creating an imbalance in the ecology and the resources are depleting at an alarming rate. Thus, giving rise to the need of developing sustainably.

 The students also talked about the 17 Sustainable Development Goals set by the United Nations in 2015. To convey the message of the assembly in an interesting and effective manner, a self-composed poem was also presented which was followed by a speech that highlighted some important ways to achieve sustainable development. The highlight of the assembly was an informative quiz that had the students tickling their brains. The work done by the students during the club periods was showcased to highlight the learning of the students.

The recent winners of the football tournament wherein the boys' team got the First Position and the girls' team got the Second Position, and the Badminton Tournament was also felicitated by Ms. Arpita Acharya. The students enjoyed being a part of such an enlightening assembly.

NATIONAL CONSTITUTION DAY

NATIONAL CONSTITUTION DAY CELEBRATION

 “Constitution is not a mere lawyer’s document, it is a vehicle of life, and its spirit is always the spirit of Age.” — B.R. Ambedkar

 National Constitution Day was celebrated at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Gurugram to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. To reiterate the values enshrined in the Constitution, the students of Grade VIII C organized a special assembly on November 24, 2022.

 The assembly commenced with the Morning Prayer which is believed to provide peace and serenity to our minds and souls. The students engaged the audience in various activities like dance, group song, role play, and speeches of famous Indian leaders who helped to build the Indian Constitution. The significance of the day was given through a PowerPoint Presentation, followed by a speech, highlighting the Preamble and the major principles of our Constitution.

The gathering was addressed by Middle Wing Leader, Ms. Suneeta Kaul. Ma'am highlighted the basic differences of the Indian constitution from that of other countries with examples, indicating the prerequisites of the constitution such as societal, familial, and individual needs. The programme culminated with a sense of patriotism and awareness to abide by the Constitution of our Nation. The day concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.

SCOUTS & GUIDES CAMP

Building confidence and teaching skills to the young generation will ensure that the valuable citizens of tomorrow are ready.

Keeping this in mind, a three-day Scouts & Guides Camp, in collaboration with Hindustan Scouts & Guides, was organised for the students of Classes III to V from November 21-November 23, 2022 in the school premises.

 The event brought new knowledge to the students as they got to know about the meaning of scouting and the role of three security forces in our country. The students were given scarves and woggles and were taught about the right way to wear them. The Flag Unfurling Ceremony by the School Leadership Team along with Scout Song was a novel experience for the students. Later, they were involved in interesting team-building activities that enhanced their confidence and leadership skills. They participated in the adventure activities like River Crossing, Monkey Bridge etc. with lots of energy and enthusiasm and also learnt how to give first aid.

The programme ended with the Award Ceremony wherein top performers were given medals by the mentors as a token of honour. The School Leadership Team appreciated the students for their wonderful participation in the camp.

VEERGATHA PROJECT

Veergatha Project was organized by CBSE under the Ministry of Education to give a befitting tribute to all the War Heroes of our country. Its aim is to instill love and sacrifice for the country in the hearts of all the students.

 Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School took up this as a Class Activity wherein students participated in various activities given by CBSE. Children wrote poems, essays, drew sketches or paintings of War Heroes as part of this Project. A Special Assembly helped to motivate students to take part in this Project wholeheartedly. Overall, it was an enriching learning experience for one and all.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF TOLERANCE

Blue Bellian Teaches Tolerance to the World.

It goes without saying that how important it is to foster tolerance with respect, acceptance, and appreciation of the rich diversity of our world’s culture to counter the ongoing problems on national as well as international level.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School feels elated to contribute meaningfully on this “International Day for Tolerance’ when our very own Dhriti Gupta from X standard explained it on World forum.

Her eloquence and thoughts were equally lauded by the generous audience which expressed their happiness that today’s intellectual generation gives due importance to it and believes it to be the very need of the hour.

LEADERSHIP TALK

LEADERSHIP TALK AT BBPS

'School Innovation Council' is a novel initiative by CBSE to systematically handhold schools in establishing ideation, innovation, and entrepreneurial ecosystem in a sustainable manner.

 In sync with the same, the first Leadership Talk was organised for the member schools. The talk was screened in the Seminar Hall for the students of Classes IX to XI with the aim to develop entrepreneurship skills.

 The Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell had interviewed Mr. Yashraj Bharadwaj, Co-founder, Petonic Infotech, Fellow and Advisor, UC Berkeley, a notable young successful entrepreneur from his school days. The students watched the video and appreciated the ideas shared by sir that included parents are the most important gurus in our lives, they should read as many books as they can, and entrepreneurship is all about solving the existing problems of the society.

 It was an enriching session that could boost the morale of the students to develop their leadership skills further.

RUN FOR UNITY

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Gurugram, organised "Run For Unity" on November 01, 2022 to commemorate the birth anniversary of the 'Iron Man of India', Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Students and teachers from Classes VI to VIII enthusiastically participated in it.

  The event was flagged off in the school playground with an address by Officiating Principal, Ms. Arpita Acharya. The students took an oath to protect the integrity of India. After the pledge, the unity march took place in the school playground.

WORLD SCIENCE DAY ASSEMBLY

WORLD SCIENCE DAY FOR PEACE AND DEVELOPMENT

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School celebrated World Science Day for Peace and Development with great zeal. A special assembly was organized by the students of Class VII D to highlight the impact that science has on our society and daily lives. The assembly began with morning prayer and news headlines.

The significance of the day was highlighted by a well-planned presentation that was shown to the students. A short quiz was conducted in which the students took part enthusiastically.  A poem on the theme was recited and a dance presented by the girls added grace to the assembly.

 The celebration also aimed to ensure that the students are kept informed of developments in science, and the role that scientists play in broadening our understanding of the remarkable, fragile planet and making our societies more sustainable.

  Ms. Arpita Acharya interacted with the students and urged them to show interest in experiments and technology so that we are well prepared with the scientific approach and modern technologies. The gathering was addressed by the Middle Wing Leader, Ms. Suneeta Kaul, wherein she motivated the students and appreciated their efforts.
