Citation Ceremony

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugram organised the Citation Ceremony for its outgoing batch of Class XII, on the December 24, 2022 on its premises. The bright, sunny morning began with the students of the outgoing batch marching into the Seminar Hall to the beats of the drums, where the programme started with the lighting of the auspicious lamp. The prayers were said, and mantras chanted for the success of the batch; the sincerity and depth of the ceremonies moving all. Ms. Preeti Phutela, Senior Wing Leader extended a warm welcome to everyone present. The event was graced by the presence of Honourable Director, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati as the esteemed guest.

The cultural programme was a big motivation for everyone present on the occasion as the students from the junior classes presented the song ‘Udh Chla' which encouraged the students to always have the courage to pursue their dreams. Along the same lines, the dance on ‘A Million Dreams’ and ‘Shabashiyan’ made the students emotional about the future that awaits them after their success at the CBSE Board Exams.

The cultural programme was followed by the citations being presented to students of Class XII by the esteemed Director and the members of the Leadership Team.

 As is traditionally done, the students received their citations after placing the brightly lit diyas on the stage.

The students carried diyas onto the stage to light up completely, the initials of their alma mater, signifying not only the light it spreads but also emblazoning the spirit of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School with the light it has enfused in their lives.

The events were an engaging mix of emotions, solemnity and inspiration, which kept everyone present riveted to the happenings on stage.

Director Madam shared her thoughts and experiences with the students, offering her advice, blessings and good wishes to those leaving the portals of the school, to take on the world with ease and confidence. The juniors gave their seniors an emotional send – off. The teachers also blessed them and they could be seen posing for countless photographs to preserve the memories of special school moments.

The day which saw emotional highs such as reverence, unbridled joy, pangs of separation, nostalgia, peals of laughter and heart rending tears was brought to a reluctant close with the group photographs.

Ms. Preeti Phutela, Senior Wing Leader proposed the Vote of Thanks and wished good luck to the students and parents for the upcoming Board Exams.

Visit to Fire Station and Traffic Park

EDUCATIONAL TRIP TO FIRE STATION AND TRAFFIC PARK

 Field trips provide the students experiential learning opportunities by connecting their classroom learning to the real world. In sync with this, an Educational Trip was organised for the students of Grade II to the Fire Station and Traffic Park on December 21, 2022.

 A brief introduction about the significance of a fire station was given by the firefighters. Students were apprised about different situations that cause fire along with different techniques and equipment to extinguish it. They were full of curiosity when they were shown different parts of a fire engine.

 The students also visited the Traffic Park wherein they learnt about traffic signals, road signs and road crossings in a play-way method. It was indeed a fun-filled experience which enhanced the knowledge of the young learners.

BACK TO SCHOOL SERIES

At Blue Bells, we believe that parents and teachers working together create the best educational experiences for kids. In sync with this thought, ‘Back to School Series’ was organised to make the parents experience the joy of classroom learning which their wards enjoy every day. The event was planned under the inspirational leadership and guidance of Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development & Innovation), Blue Bells Group of Schools for the parents of Classes Prep, LKG and UKG on December 17, 2022. This event gave an opportunity to the parents to get an insight into the unique pedagogical practices and teaching methodologies which are well-planned by the L & D Team.

The parents were apprised of multitudes of activities conducted in the class which help the students develop and hone LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing), and Numeracy Skills. Parents recalled their own childhood days when they were engaged in a number of interactive & fun filled activities and games.

The parents thoroughly enjoyed playing well-thought-out games organized by Sports Team showcasing a transdisciplinary approach of blending sports activities with real life learning & subjects. The parents were awe-struck by the elaborate efforts and were full of admiration for the school.

GALLERY WALK

‘Gallery Walk’– an academic extravaganza was organised in the premises of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School on December 17, 2022 under the inspirational leadership and guidance of Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development & Innovation), Blue Bells Group of Schools with an aim to showcase the innovative journey of learning and progression to the parents of Grades I and II.

The Atrium of the school was all agog with an array of activities focussing on different subject skills. The parents appreciated the showcasing of integrated transdisciplinary approach and the progression as it ensured effective learning at all levels.

Health & Wellness Programme of the school spearheaded by Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, presented an overview of the Health & Wellness Programme for the Pre-primary Wing summarized on the Display Boards. It showcased a glimpse of Enhancing Early Education, Value Education through School Cinema and Students’ work/activities in the Value Education classes for holistic development in scholars. These Programmes help in inculcating values and Life Skills. The corner added a Midas touch to the event by showcasing a thoughtful mindset by including some fun-filled activities like ‘move like an animal' and ‘where is my house?’

The parents participated with great zeal and enthusiasm and their happy faces were testimony to the fact that they are equally enjoying the learning process of their wards.

HUMAN RIGHTS DAY

"To deny people their human rights is to challenge their very humanity.” - Nelson Mandela

 The Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL’s ) hosted a virtual event on the occasion of Human Rights Day.

 The students of Class XI of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School shared their perspective through their participation in FOWPAL’S International Platform showcasing their creative skills to create awareness about Human Rights. Students organised a series of activities for their schoolmates like Slogan writing, Card and Poster making, Designing Toys and Games out of Best out of Waste.

 A Signature Campaign was also organised on the occasion with warm wishes for a happy and safe world where everyone's Human Rights are ensured and protected.

VISIT TO NPL

Niti Aayog and CSIR - National Physical Laboratory (NPL), New Delhi invited the students of Class XI of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School for understanding a few research activities. This was a part of ATL Project -Hands on Experience. It was indeed a great opportunity for our Blue Bellians to interact with the prominent scientists working on various projects approved by government of India.

 The students were first taken to Photometry Department. The senior scientist Mr Saha explained the concept of units and measurements, further explaining about the candela unit, intensity and luminosity of light devices used at homes. They were taken to dark room to experience the working of the device- Gonio photometer.

 The second lab they visited was Length Device Lab. They were demonstrated with five different devices on how to calibrate various measuring scales & how to measure the thickness of machinery parts used in industries. They also visited the Gas Lab and Wind Tunnel lab to know about the pressure measurements and how they testify various machinery parts to check the strength of the load they can withstand. The students curiously asked their questions and had a great interactive session.

 The students, under the guidance of CSIR- Researchers, were also taken to a lab for hands on experience. They made a cell using coins, aluminium foil and liquid solutions. They were asked to note down their test observations during experimentation to glow LED bulb.

 The students had a great learning experience as they got a platform to enhance their observation skills, scientific aptitude and problem solving skills.

EDUCATIONAL EXCURSION TO JAIPUR

 ‘Travel is a part of education and experience.’

Education is a life-long journey whose destination expands as we travel. In sync with this, a two-day educational trip was organised for the students of Classes III to V to Jaipur on December 19 and 20, 2022. A group of 59 students and 6 teachers boarded the buses for the experiential journey early morning. With laughter, songs and jokes a constant during the bus ride, the group reached Jaipur and checked in the Hotel Clarks Amer.  Everyone relished the well-laid out buffet and headed towards the first destination, a visit to the Handmade Paper Factory and Blue Pottery Factory. The students were taken out for a night tour in the bus to make them admire the well-lit historical monuments of Jaipur.

The students came to know about the entire process of making the handmade paper and famous blue pottery in detail. In the evening, the students danced to their hearts’ content in a Musical Party especially organised for them.

The next morning, they set out to explore the Amer Fort which is a mesmerising combination of conventional Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. They also enjoyed their visit to Gaurav Tower where they purchased souvenirs for their near and dear ones and enjoyed a hearty meal at McDonalds. The Trip concluded with smiles on faces and everyone parted with beautiful memories of the tour.

‘THEME: KINDNESS MATTERS’ CELEBRATED IN Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School

At Blue Bells, it is our firm belief that when we share our time, skills, knowledge, wisdom, compassion, wealth, and love—the world would be a more peaceful and healthier place.In furtherance of the same vision and soaking in the spirit of sharing is caring, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugram, celebrated Genesis – Health and Wellness Fiesta, 2022-23 on the theme ‘Kindness Matters’ on December 21, 2022, with the students of Spreading Smiles, Gyan Kendra, Nathupur, Gurgaon. The occasion was embellished with the illustrious presence of Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, Director, BBGS.

Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, ideated and mentored this unique initiative with the motive of ‘Service Before Self’. In an attempt to promote good deeds and assure acts of kindness, students of Blue Bells Group of Schools donated stationery items to the children of Spreading Smiles School with the thought that small deeds and acts of kindness can make a big impact on someone's life.The event organized under the aegis of the Health & Wellness Programme, BBGS aimed at instilling values such as empathy, sensitivity, and generosity in each student.

The school team prepared a special cultural event for the visiting children. Skill enhancement activities like Sports and Art activities were taken up with the children of Spreading Smiles and they participated with enthusiasm and fervor. They also showcased their talent on stage which was commendable and applauded by all.

In order to create a compassionate and selfless partnership with each one, the Health & Wellness Programme of BBGS believes in inculcating the spirit of giving back to the community. The happiness and enthusiasm of the school as well as the visiting team during the event is a proud testimony to the venerable commitment of the Health & Wellness Team of BBGS.

NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY

Mathematics is the unshaken Foundation of Sciences and the plentiful Fountain of Advantage to human affairs. The students of Mathematics Club of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School organised a Special Assembly to show their love for Mathematics on the occasion of National Mathematics Day. The day marks the birth anniversary of Shri Srinivasa Ramanujan, the great mathematical genius who made exemplary contribution to Mathematics.

 The day was celebrated with objective of creating awareness about importance of Mathematics in day-to-day life and to create students’ interest in studying the subject.

 As part of the celebration, along with the regular features of the assembly, a quiz programme, and talk on Mathematics were organized and conducted by the students. The students participated in the above programmes with great zeal and enthusiasm.

NEP PANEL DISCUSSION

In continuation of the initiatives taken by the School Innovation Council (SIC), an Expert Panel discussion on 'NEP -Redefining School Education and the Crucial Role of Schools in Atmanirbhar Bharat' was attended by the students of Classes IX and XI.

 The discussion focussed on the expected changes in the Education System with the introduction of NEP.  Instead of 10+ 2, it will be 5+3+3+4 in the school years. NEP, it said, is all about 21^stcentury skills - innovation, coding, and computational thinking. 

  According to NEP, 21st Century skills and the need for innovation will be accorded due importance lest robots take on the world. Regional languages will be prioritised as NEP focuses on the importance of studying in the mother tongue. Another important factor will be the training in Vocational Skills.

 Overall, it was an informative session for the students.
