PLANTATION DRIVE

A Plantation Drive was organized by Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, as part of its commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability.

The aim of the drive was to create awareness among the students about the importance of planting trees, promoting a greener environment, and mitigating the effects of climate change.

The students enthusiastically participated in the drive and planted saplings in the school campus. The tempo was kept high by narration of self-composed poems by students. Students also participated in poster making and slogan writing activities on importance and need of trees.

The Principal, Dr. Trilok Singh Bist along with Wing Leaders also participated in the Drive and appreciated students' efforts.

WORLD POPULATION DAY

A Special Assembly was conducted by Class XI C to celebrate the 'World Population Day'. Along with the regular features of the Assembly, the students presented a melodious song on the theme. They also presented a speech to express their deep concern and care for the healthy growth and safety of the human race.

The students linked the menace of population increase with issues like poverty, unemployment, lack of education, and accommodation through a thought-provoking skit that dealt with the reasons for the population increase. They highlighted that there is a huge population explosion in our own country as well as around the globe, bringing home the point that family planning is not only a matter of human rights but is also central to women’s empowerment, reducing poverty, and achieving sustainable growth.

 The Class Teacher, Ms. Ekta Sharma addressed the students and suggested that each human should be mindful of this issue. Ms. Preeti Phutela, the Senior Wing Leader, also expressed her views and appreciated the assembly.

 The Principal, Dr. Trilok Singh Bist was extremely contented to see the active participation and to hear the concern of the young generation towards ‘population explosion’. Sir said, “The aim of conducting this special assembly is to spread awareness about the dire consequences of population explosion. It is the present generation of youngsters that can understand the importance of population control better than anyone else and ensure limiting it as they grow up to become responsible citizens.”

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment Day is celebrated every year on 5th of June to raise global awareness and take positive environmental action to protect nature and the planet Earth. It is a day that reminds everyone to get involved in environment-friendly activities to save the very ecosystem we all depend upon for our survival.

The students of Class IX D organised a Special Assembly on July 04, 2023 to mark and celebrate this day. Along with the regular features of the assembly, the students staged an entertaining and informative Talk Show on the need for and importance of taking care of our environment. Through this subtly and intricately crafted Talk Show, they could clearly bring home the point that each and every human being is responsible for ensuring a cleaner and greener environment. Senior Wing Leader, Ms. Preeti Phutela, addressed the students and discussed various small steps that can make a big difference towards saving the environment.

Toward the end of the Assembly, Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, Principal, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, felicitated the teachers by giving away the Pariksha pe Charcha certificates to all the deserving teachers who had participated in the event organised by PMO and had received the certificates signed by the Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi.

COMING BACK HOME- SHIVAM SAXENA VISITS HIS ALMA MATER WITH PRIDE

It was a moment of great pleasure for BDBBPS as Mr Shivam Saxena, an alumnus from the batch of 2009 visited the school and interacted with the students of Grades IX and XI regarding his experiences and success at various levels, first as a student leader and then as an engineer at work.

He gave the students advice from his own journey as a student, telling them to participate in sports and co-curricular activities, manage their time well and stay active. He told them about his life as a student at school upto his job as a Petroleum Engineer at Abu Dhabi National Oil Company in UAE, and reflected on each phase of the same. Mr Shivam Saxena presented a fun and interactive PPT, which was relevant to the age group. The students soaked in all the advice, and eagerly asked him questions.

 Principal Sir also addressed the gathering, reiterating the points made by Mr Saxena and thanked him for taking the time to visit his alma matter.

 Overall, it was a wonderful session which the students found helpful and inspiring.

Guru Purnima Assembly_Grade I

‘Gratitude to the gurus who inspire us, ignite our curiosity, and open doors to knowledge and self-discovery.’

Guru Purnima is a ritualistic celebration to pay respect to the Gurus- the ones who lead us to the right path of life. A Special Assembly was conducted by the students of Grade I A on July 03, 2023 to celebrate the pious occasion of Guru Purnima with great reverence, enthusiasm, and devotion. The presentation started with the lighting of the lamp and extending a floral tribute to Goddess Saraswati. Thereafter, the students shared a powerful thought acknowledging their teachers as the guiding lights. They expressed their gratitude and admiration through the presentation of beautiful poems and a captivating song. The entire assembly resounded with approbation and veneration for the Gurus. The School Leadership Team showered its blessings on the students. The enriching morning assembly was indeed an apt tribute from the little ones to their mentors!

ORIENTATION SESSION FOR BDBBPSMUN 2023 WITH A GLOCAL PERSPECTIVE ON ‘NURTURING HARMONY: PEACE IN THE HEART OF CHAOS’

Model United Nations, also known as Model UN or MUN, is an educational simulation in which students learn about diplomacy, international relations, and the United Nations. At a MUN conference, students work as the representative of a country, organization, or person, to solve a problem with other delegates from around the world. MUN teaches participants skills like research, public speaking, debating, and writing, in addition to critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership.

The theme for the first Inter-school BDBBPSMUN 2023 is ‘NURTURING HARMONY: PEACE IN THE HEART OF CHAOS’. With a goal to instil a yearning in today’s youth to acquire a distinctive perspective on on the theme, an Orientation Session was organised in the school Seminar Hall on July 03, 2023.The school MUN Team comprising of seasoned MUNers briefed the scholars of Grades VII to XI on the Agenda of MUN, Procedure to be followed , Research for MUN and finally, Drafting a resolution. They were apprised about how they can share their insights on the global stage, seek solutions and vehemently voice these solutions in a public discussion. The session received an overwhelming response from the students and highlighted the vision of the school to churn out the leaders of tomorrow with confidence, intellectualism, and an unquenchable quest for knowledge.

 In his address, Principal Dr. Trilok Singh Bist appreciated the efforts of the MUN Organizing Committee in starting such a wonderful initiative where many children get a chance to participate as compared to Debates and Declamations and also encouraged the students to participate whole heartedly in this BDBBPS MUN to be held on 26th and 27th of August 2023, as this adds not only to their profile but instils a lot of confidence, and children learn to challenge their own potential.

9th International Yoga Day celebration

9th International Yoga Day celebration at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10,Gurugram

 Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21 is celebrated as The International Day of Yoga all over the world. International Yoga Day was celebrated at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School with great enthusiasm. The Yoga Session started with warm up exercises followed by Surya Namaskar, Pranayams and other asanas. The staff members-teaching, non-teaching and support staff performed sitting and standing asanas. The celebration concluded with the address by Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, Principal, BDBBPS, and Mr Ajay Thakur, DGM, Administration and Procurement, BBGS. They encouraged the gathering to practice yoga regularly to remain fit and improve concentration.

ADVENTURE-CUM-EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING TRIP TO KANASAR, CHAKRATA, AND DEOBAN

“To Travel, to experience and learn: that is to live.”-Tenzing Norgay

 The school team embarked on a thrilling Adventure-cum-Experiential Learning Trip with the Secondary School students on June 05, 2023. Organized with the aim of providing an immersive and educational adventure, the exciting and enriching trip to Kanasar, Chakrata and Deoban, the beautiful unexplored locations in India took the team beyond the confines of the classroom and into the realm of exploration and discovery.

 On reaching Chakrata, to acclimatize students to the environment & trekking, they were taken to a farmland and orchid garden that was created by an NGO in association with Uttarakhand Government for planting more than 18000 fruit trees including apples, plums, cherries, and litchis, etc. The group enjoyed the nature walk guided by local experts who provided information about the various plant and animal species found in the region.

 The team embraced the challenge of hiking through scenic trails, learning valuable wilderness survival techniques when they travelled to the forest checkpoint Deoban and from there trekked to the campsite at Kanasar, a nearby forest reserve famous for its rich biodiversity. They were allotted alpine tents to stay and were involved in team-building activities in two different groups- Tripsters & Travellers. The students went on a guided trek through the forest, learning about the different types of trees, medicinal plants, and wildlife species that inhabit the area. The evening was dedicated to cultural activities for students where they acquired essential skills such as orienteering, fostering self-reliance, and teamwork.

 In the next stage of hiking, the team reached Vyas Shikhar Point where they captured the sight of Himalayan Peaks like Bandar Poonch, Swargrohini, Black Peak, Gangotri Group of Peaks, Badrinath Peak, Kedarnath Peak, etc.  Taking the hiking to the next level, the troupe was taken to Cliff Point almost 3000 Mts where the students of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School raised the school flag. While returning they got an opportunity to watch the sunset amidst the beautiful scenes and panoramic views of the Shivalik mountains.

 The school adventure trip was a resounding success, leaving an indelible impression on the students' lives. It provided them with a transformative experience, combining adventure, education, and personal growth with a deep appreciation for nature, teamwork, and cultural diversity!

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School Students Conquer Himalayan Heights

By Hoisting School Flag at 3800 Meters by Climbing Vijay Top...

 The students from Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School demonstrated their supreme adventurous spirit by raising the School Flag and the National Flag at an impressive altitude of 3800 meters above sea level on 'Vijay Top'.

 An Educational-cum-Adventure Trip was organized by the school for Senior School students in Grades XI and XII from June 4 to June 12, 2023, and involved traversing the challenging forests of Rupin Supin Valley. Despite encountering various weather challenges, the students exhibited their unflappable courage by successfully hoisting the School Flag and the National Flag on the Himalayan Peak known as 'Vijay Top'. This achievement is a proud testimony to the steadfast approach. It resolute focus and showcased the commitment of the students to bring laurels and accolades to Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School. The esteemed Principal, Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, along with eight teachers and 84 students actively participated in this educational journey which was filled with hands-on learning and honed creative thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, team building, and coordination skills.

During this series of learning activities, the students on the first day were introduced to the tent setting. They were taught how to stay inside the tent, use the sleeping bags, and familiarize themselves with the forest surroundings. The following day, the students embarked on their camp journey. It was their first step towards crossing the valley and forests on foot, which brought about challenges such as fatigue, thirst, and difficulties related to climbing. However, the students persevered, taking each step carefully and steadily. Despite the challenging weather conditions of rain and cold winds, each student reached the camp with their own effort, with self-confidence. They enthusiastically participated in activities at the camp. On the last day, everyone marched ahead with enthusiasm to reach Vijay Top where they hoisted the school flag at 2:30 pm and sang the school song. After returning to the camp, they had lunch, rested, and played games like dumb charades.

 The main objective of this educational excursion was to acquaint the students with the invaluable wonders of nature and empower them with a learning experience on how to remain resilient in the face of adversity and keep their spirits high. The trip left an indelible imprint in the hearts of the team members and created memories that will be cherished forever. PREFECTORIAL BOARD

Discipline is the epicenter of success in school and in addition to the Student Council, the Prefectorial Board has a crucial role to play in maintaining it. The Senior Wing of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School announced the Cyber Safety Ambassador, House-wise Vice-captains and Prefects along with the Peer Mentor for the session 2023-24. They received their badges from the Leadership Team.
