Safety First! Mock Drill Information

At Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, we believe that preparedness is key to safety! Today, our students and staff participated in a session designed to equip everyone with the skills and awareness needed in case of emergencies.

From fire evacuation procedures to emergency assembly protocols, the videos shown to the students ensured that each one understood their role and responded calmly and quickly. They were also apprised of the Mock Drill planned by the government at 4 pm.  

The highlights of the drill were: -

World Laughter Day Celebration

 In a world often overwhelmed by noise and haste, World Laughter Day assembly  on May 06, 2025, was a refreshing pause — a celebration of joy, unity, and well-being. Class X C beautifully hosted a special assembly, reminding all the members that laughter is a shared language of hope.

The day began with a soulful prayer and a collective pledge to spread kindness and positivity. Thoughtful reflections in English and Hindi emphasized that laughter is not just a moment of joy but a powerful source of healing and resilience. Insightful news updates kept everyone connected to the world, while presentations highlighted the profound link between laughter and mental health.

A self-composed poem, an interactive quiz, and a spirited dance performance brought alive the theme with creativity and warmth. Laughter yoga session by the Yoga instructor united all in shared energy and ease. Ms. Roopali Kudesia, Vice Principal, BDBBPS, encouraged the students to cherish the simple joys of life and be light bearers in the society and nation at large. Ma’am urged them to be empathetic and appreciate the efforts of their peers, family and school.

The assembly closed with the National Anthem and the message:’ Laugh often, live fully, and let your joy lift others. Let laughter be not just a sound, but a movement we lead with heart.’

International Dance Day Celebration

"To dance is to lose yourself and become something greater—graceful, powerful, and free."

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School marked International Dance Day with vibrant energy through an Inter-Class Dance Competition for students of Classes VI to VIII.

The competition was divided into two captivating categories—Solo Classical and Western Duet. Students lit up the stage with their expressive moves and rhythmic finesse, leaving the audience spellbound.

The event concluded on a high note with the announcement of winners and prize distribution, celebrating not just victory but the spirit of artistic expression. The school’s unwavering commitment to nurturing creativity was evident throughout, inspiring young dancers to embrace the joy and discipline of dance.

Labour Day Celebration

"Every form of work that serves humanity deserves respect and recognition."

To mark International Labour Day on May 1, 2025, the young learners of Class II A set the tone with a vibrant Special Assembly. Their innocent enthusiasm shone through a heartfelt choir performance and a lively dance, both dedicated to celebrating the dedication and hard work of the school’s support staff.

A touching moment unfolded when the support staff members themselves took center stage, singing devotional songs and sharing the joy and gratitude they felt. Their smiles lit up the room, making it a morning to remember.

Further extending the gratitude, students from Classes III to V presented handmade cards, expressing heartfelt thanks to the hands that quietly contribute to the school’s everyday rhythm.

The School Leadership Team commended the students for their thoughtful gestures and emphasized the importance of recognizing and respecting every role that contributes to the collective good.

ADEPT – A Program for Enhancing Life Skills, Powered by wellnesswise.in believes in guiding students to stride ahead, create new opportunities and set realistic goals which helps them develop a convincing future in a confident and meaningful way.

Under the guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director, Health & Wellness, Blue Bells Group of Schools, the team conducted an interactive module on Goal Setting for students of Grade X & XII at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School on April 16, 2025. The session aimed to help students achieve their aspirations and utilize their time to the optimum so that they can explore their interests, passions and professional paths.

Students were briefed about short -term and long-term goals which they can make by setting timelines for achieving them. The students were guided about the steps of goal setting and were encouraged to write one goal with an action plan, identifying the barriers and further the possible solution. The points to ponder upon for better productivity were also discussed.

Students participated actively throughout the session and put forth their queries and concerns. The session was indeed very motivating and each student felt rest assured and supported.

WORLD BOOK DAY

Language paves the path of civilization, while books stand as enduring milestones of its journey.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School marked English Language Day and World Book Day with vibrant celebrations. Students of Class VIII B led a compelling assembly that spotlighted the value of the English language through stirring speeches and evocative poetry. A thought-provoking skit urged the audience to embrace the charm of printed books and reduce screen dependency. The assembly also honoured the literary genius of William Shakespeare, recognizing his timeless contributions to the world of literature. The event displayed student creativity, promoting a deeper appreciation for language and inspiring a culture of reading and intellectual growth among their peers.

To mark Earth Day, the enthusiastic learners of Class IV A conducted a meaningful special assembly centered around environmental awareness. The core message echoed throughout the event was that even the smallest efforts, when made collectively, can bring about a significant and lasting positive impact on our precious planet.

In addition to the customary segments of the assembly, the students captivated the audience with a compelling panel discussion based on the powerful concept of the 7 R’s: Rethink, Refuse, Reduce, Repurpose, Reuse, Recycle, and Rot. This insightful dialogue encouraged everyone to reflect on their daily choices and consider their environmental consequences.

The assembly concluded with a heartfelt musical performance that beautifully portrayed the commitment of these young eco-champions to adopting sustainable practices in everyday life. Their passion for protecting Earth’s natural splendour was both inspiring and uplifting.

The School Leadership Team commended the students’ efforts and called upon everyone to embrace environmentally responsible habits, reminding them that every small action contributes to a greener and healthier future for all.

BAISAKHI CELEBRATION

Culture is the widening of the mind and the spirit.

The students of Class VIII A at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School presented a vibrant and thought-provoking assembly on Baisakhi, celebrating the rich tapestry of India's cultural and historical heritage. The assembly commenced with a poignant presentation on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, illuminating its profound impact on India's struggle for independence. This was followed by an insightful exploration of Baisakhi's significance as both a harvest festival and the commemoration of the formation of the Khalsa Panth in 1699, highlighting its importance across diverse communities. A captivating dance performance encapsulated the joy and communal spirit associated with Baisakhi, while an inspiring speech added depth and emotion to the event. The assembly stood as a testament to the students' commitment to honoring India's multifaceted history and fostering a spirit of unity and inclusivity.

NEWS READING ACTIVITY

On April 24, 2025, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School organized a  News Reading Activity for students of Classes III to V, aiming to foster self-expression, stage presence, and collaborative learning. Students were divided into teams of five, with each team presenting five categories of news: national, international, sports, weather, and scientific. Emphasis was placed on selecting positive and age-appropriate news items, encouraging students to develop language skills and a broader awareness of the world.

Dressed as news anchors, students embraced their roles with enthusiasm and confidence. The activity provided a real-time experience in public speaking, helping them learn voice modulation, eye contact, and meaningful self-expression. Such activities not only enhance communication skills but also boost self-esteem and confidence.

Collaborative learning environments like this promote higher-level thinking, oral communication, and leadership skills. By engaging in group tasks, students also gain exposure to diverse perspectives and prepare for real-life social and employment situations.

Integrating current events into the classroom broadens student perspectives and deepens their appreciation for the relevance of their learning. Activities like News Reading not only inform but also inspire students, leaving them empowered and better prepared for the future.

World Health Day

‘Health is a state of complete harmony of the body, mind, and spirit.’

In observance of World Health Day, the Health & Wellness Programme of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, under the guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director, Health & Wellness, BBGS co- partnered with Max Hospital, Gurugram, to organize Health Talk on UTI & Gynecological Health in Teens, on April 7, 2025.

The session aimed to provide age-appropriate, relevant health education to students—focusing on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) for girls of Classes VIII to XII, and Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) for boys of Classes VIII to XII.

The expert-led sessions were conducted by:

·         Dr. Suman Lal, Senior Director and Unit Head – Obstetrics & Gynaecology, who guided the girls through an informative session on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS).

·         Dr. Amit Goel, Director and Head of Unit – Renal Transplant, Uro-Oncology, Urology & Robotic Surgery, who addressed the boys on Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs)

Dr. Lal’s expert insights into the topic of PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) were not only informative but also empowering. Her session helped students understand the importance of managing their health and provided practical knowledge on handling PCOS effectively.

Dr. Goel’s session on Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) prevention and care was another highlight of the workshop. With clarity and precision, he offered practical advice that was easily applicable to the daily lives of students, helping them understand how to take preventive measures and maintain their health.

The workshop was indeed a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of health education for young students.
