SYNERGY -THE SPORTS FEST

‘Sports provide the opportunity to every individual to grow, succeed, and contribute to a bigger purpose.’

We, at Blue Bells believe that sports help the young, impressionable youth learn values like discipline, responsibility, self-confidence, sacrifice, and accountability from them. In sync with this, the Annual Sports Day ‘Synergy-The Sports Fest’ was held for the students of Classes Pre-Nursery to V on February 10, 2024.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the revered Chief Guest, Mr. Ashish Gulati, Vice Chairman, Blue Bells Group of Schools. Honourable Director, Dr Saroj Suman Gulati graced the occasion as our esteemed Guest of Honour. The Special Guest for the day was Mr. Kunal Thakran (Alumnus BBMS, National Champion, Swimming and Best Swimmer of Haryana). Mr. Trilok Singh Bist, Principal, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, extended the formal welcome to all the distinguished guests and parents.

The event began with the Hoisting of the Sports Flag. It was followed by the March Past wherein Director Madam and Mr. Kunal Thakran took the salute and declared the event open. Each troop, representing a house, demonstrated exemplary teamwork and discipline making it difficult for the judges to evaluate the march past presentation. The Lighting of the Flame, Torch Ceremony added a touch of grandeur as the young sports achievers passed the flame with a strong sense of togetherness.

An array of races like Turbo Tots Race, Bouncy Ball Hop Race, Commando Obstacle Race including Tug-of War and Musical Chairs (for the parents) were held in the school ground. In addition to the races, the audience was treated to mesmerising performances including Yoga, Aerobics, Karate, Dance and an impressive Mass Drill.

The achievers of the Sports Day were felicitated by the Chief Guest and other distinguished guests.

Mr. Ashish Gulati, in his address congratulated all the winners and their mentors. Mr. Kunal Thakran, the Special Guest, motivated the students by sharing his own journey as an athlete and how he overcame each obstacle under the guidance of his mentors.

The winners, both students and parents, joyously headed home with medals and prizes.  The event left everyone with memories of a day filled with a shared commitment to growth and excellence.

Counselling Awareness Session cum Parents-Teacher Meeting

The session began on a positive note, allowing parents to voice their opinions regarding their children's career options and factors influencing stream selection after the X Standard. Many parents concurred that peer pressure plays a significant role in this decision-making process. However, some also expressed confidence in their children's ability to make informed choices for their future. The consensus among parents highlighted the importance of the holy Trinity in today's context: Parents, Students, and Teachers, who all play pivotal roles at this crucial juncture.

It was suggested that several factors should be considered before making decisions about their children's future:

- Abilities

- Interests

- Personality

- Motivation

Subsequently, the Principal initiated a meaningful discussion about the significance of Career Guidance, current trends, career planning, stumbling blocks, and stepping stones. Many parents honestly confessed that their own aspirations and unrealistic dreams sometimes overshadow their children's aspirations. They acknowledged the importance of aptitude tests, time management, and SWOT analysis in making informed decisions about career choices. Senior teachers shared personal experiences to illustrate that every stream holds equal importance in today's scenario.

Parents were informed about various foreign universities offering 100% scholarships, where the financial burden is minimal compared to Indian universities. They were encouraged to consider the adage "It's better to be an original cow than a duplicate tiger." Students were advised against blind inclinations towards tuition and coaching classes, emphasizing the importance of self-study. The session concluded with an introduction to expert and experienced faculty members, assuring parents and students of ample support in senior classes.

Additionally, parents were informed about the Alumni Connect Program and its benefits, urging them to explore various career options beyond conventional courses. They were delighted to learn that Class Teachers would provide PowerPoint presentations on various career options.

The session lasted for 90 minutes, during which parents thoroughly enjoyed the discussions. A Q&A round provided an opportunity for parents to address their queries, which were satisfactorily answered by the school administration and management.

In conclusion, Principal Dr. Trilok Singh Bist conducted a short session on the School Integrated Program (SIP) and shared a QR code for parents to provide feedback. All parents appreciated the school's initiative in facilitating discussions on stream selection, enabling informed decisions for both students and parents alike.

SAFARNAMA-2024

The days spent in school are treasured and considered as the most valuable in one's life. Reflecting on the memories of school days is a way of preserving the moments that are dear to the heart and never wanting to part with them. To make the farewell journey even more special, the students of Class XI at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School organized the Farewell Ceremony – ‘Safarnama 2024’ for the graduating batch of 2024 on January 12, 2024.

This heartfelt initiative aimed to bid farewell to the Class XII students and extend best wishes for their future endeavours. The students of Class XI orchestrated a variety of activities for their seniors, ensuring that every moment of the event would be etched in their memories. Emotional videos depicting the students' journey through their school years evoked tears from the audience. A captivating 'Talent Hunt Show' organized for the outgoing students captivated everyone present, and titles were bestowed upon the Class XII students based on their showcased talents. Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, the Principal, encouraged the students to strive for self-improvement and become the finest version of themselves. The event was a vibrant extravaganza that the students will fondly remember for a long time.

REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School resonated with patriotic fervour as it celebrated the 75th Republic Day on January 25, 2024. The celebration was adorned by the gracious presence of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director, Health & Wellness, Blue Bells Group of Schools.

The day commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag accompanied by the soul-stirring strains of the National Anthem. The March Past that followed was a sight to behold, showcasing the discipline and precision instilled in the students.

The patriotic fervour reached its peak as melodious Patriotic Songs were presented by the school choir. The celebration took an energetic turn as students showcased their physical prowess through Yoga, Aerobics, and Lazium performances. In the grand finale of the event, an enchanting dance, showcasing the rich and diverse culture of India was presented by the talented students.

Addressing on the occasion, Dr. Alka Saxena addressed the gathering stating the importance of embracing diversity as it opens the doors for vast learning opportunities from others. She also inspired students to take pride in their endeavours and continuously raise the bar for personal growth. Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, Principal proposed the Vote of Thanks and encouraged the students to keep up the spirit of patriotism.

 Citation Ceremony for the outgoing batch of Class XII was organised on January 13, 2024, at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School. The bright morning commenced with a spirited march past to the Seminar Hall, where an auspicious lamp was lit to begin the programme. Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, Principal, BDBBPS, extended a warm welcome to the parents and students.

 A cultural program unfolded, followed by the presentation of citations to the graduating students by the Principal. The students, with diyas in hand, illuminated the stage with the initials of their alma mater, symbolizing the light and spirit Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School instilled in their lives.

 Honourable Director, Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, addressed the gathering, offering best wishes to those embarking on new journeys beyond the school's portals. The day brimmed with emotions – reverence, joy, separation pangs, nostalgia, laughter, and tears – concluding with heartfelt group photographs.

MI Camp Pre Primary wing

‘Every child has multiple intelligences and talents. Understanding a child’s unique skill set is important to guide them for the future. ‘

A 'Multiple Intelligence Camp' was organised for students of Classes Nursery-II of BDBBPS at The Blue Bells School, Sector 50 on December 27, 2023. The camp aimed to provide a platform for students to engage in activities that catered to their individual intelligences and interests.

A wide range of activities, including a Magic Show, Paper Robotics, Xtreme Bots, Burma Bridge and Rock Climbing, Zorbing, Puppet Show, Story Telling, Dance 60, and Art & Crafts were offered to the students. These activities allowed them to explore and develop their multiple intelligences, such as visual-spatial, naturalistic, bodily-kinesthetics’, logical-mathematical, linguistic intelligence, musical intelligence, intrapersonal, and interpersonal. The camp ensured that each child was exposed to a well-rounded learning experience. The students not only had fun but also developed their thinking and expressive skills, fostering a holistic approach to education.

We extend our gratitude to Madam Soumya Gulati (Deputy Director, Academic Development and Innovation) for providing an opportunity to the students for honing their 21st century skills.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON ‘WELCOMING NEW YEAR WITH POSITIVE MINDSET’

To mark the beginning of the New Year, a special assembly - 'Welcoming New Year With Positive Mindset' was conducted by the students of classes VI to VIII. The assembly started with a prayer that filled our hearts with gratitude. Students bid farewell to the year 2023 by presenting a wonderful dance performance. A self-composed poem followed by melodious singing of a song was also an element of the assembly.

Principal Sir addressed the gathering and motivated the students to begin the New Year with utmost sincerity, confidence, and hard work. The students enjoyed the celebration and promised to be a better version of themselves in the coming year.
