TALK SHOW ON ANIMALS AROUND US

When we look in our surrounding, we discover different kind of animals.  Animals are found all over the world. They differ in sizes, shapes, colour and in kind of places they live in. Animals are living beings and need food, water, and shelter to live. Animals are very useful to us.
After getting information about animals around us, class II students conducted a Talk Show on September , 26 ,2016. The class was divided into various kinds of animals such as wild, pet, insects etc. Students used different props and spoke 8-9 lines on the animal given.
This activity helped the students to know about different types of animals. Students were highly engaged in the talk show; were able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the topic “Animals Around Us”and gave correct information of different animals. They also made colorful and unique props.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY TO HONOUR THE DIVINITY OF GRANDPARENTS

 
 â€œA Garden of love grows in Grandparents heart”
A special Assembly was conducted by the Pre Primary Wing on October 3, 2016 (Monday). The highlights of the assembly were-Grandparents day celebration and the Story Enactment- Can I Live in your home?  (In sync with the theme Animals).
The assembly started with chanting of Gayatri Mantra followed by school prayer and pledge. The compereing was done by the students of Class UKG .The choir group presented a melodious song dedicated to the Grandparents showcasing their love and respect for them. This was followed by a Dance Performance by the tiny tots (Dadi Amma Dadi Amma Man Jayo.....)
The Next part of the assembly was focussed on the story: Can I live in Your Home? - A story about animal habitats. The students enacted as different animals and the power point presentation was used as backdrop to depict the sequence of events in the story. This story, since it was in the form of a power-point presentation appealed to the students. The visual component of the story also made it very easy to comprehend the story.

DIVYA ANUBHUTI A SPIRITUAL RENDITION FOR GRANDPARENTS

Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and Love. To pay a solemn tribute to the unconditional love, support and guidance extended by the grandparents to nurture the young saplings to be the fruit bearing trees, Grandparents Day- DIVYA ANUBHUTI was presented to seek their blessings on October 1, 2016. 

Dr. Suman Gulati, esteemed Director, Blue Bells Group of Schools, graced the occasion. To salute the great iconic and patriarchal figure of our Founder Chairperson Sir, Shri. B. D. Gulati ji, the Management and Director of the school had proudly initiated  Shri. B. D. Gulati Scholarship  to honour and recognize the meritorious performers of the school. This year the Scholarship is conferred to Gazal Dagar of Class X C . The Scholarship Cheque to Mrs. Dagar , Gazals mother was given by revered Director Maam.

The spiritual and devotional renditions by the members of the school added to the serenity. The event was a humble gesture on the part of the students to express their gratitude to their grandparents for the rich legacy of values and traditions which they have inherited from them.

Speaking on the occasion Principal Maam thanked all the grandparents for sparing their valuable time and showering their blessings on this august occasion

GANDHI JAYANTI CELEBRATION

“ If we want to reach real peace in this world , we should start educating children.”

 Gandhi Jayanti, is celebrated by the entire nation to commemorate the birth anniversary of the father of our nation-Mahatama Gandhi. Bluebellians celebrated bapus  birthday in school, on 30th September, 2016, with great zeal, enthusiasm and patriotism.
The students started the assembly with the prayer and Gayatri mantra, followed by the school prayer and pledge. A thought for the day, headline news, melodious song by choir group, talk and skit was followed by a rendition of the national anthem.
A talk giving information about the life and achievements of Gandhiji was given to enlighten the  students. The students also presented a Street Play  on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan , to spread the message that we should keep our India clean. The Assembly provided a platform to the students to express their thoughts and feelings and display their talents.

Special Assembly Save Animals

Students of II D  presented an assembly on  Save Animals   on September 23 , 2016 .The assembly started with the regular features of prayer and pledge.
They also presented the thought of the day  which reflected their concern and need for safeguarding  animals and their Habitat. School Choir sang a melodious song on animal right. They also presented a colourful skit on  Protect Animals
They successfully triggered the mind of the young audience to think about the plight of the animals due to deforestation and industrial growth.The audience applauded and  enjoyed  the skit much.
School Principal Ms. Anjali Nagpal, and Wing incharge Ms Sushma Malhotra motivated the students further with their inspiring speech to take care of their pets  and not to hurt them.

HINDI DIWAS CELEBRATION

“Language is the mirror of human life which showcases life in diverse forms…”

Hindi Diwas  is celebrated  every year on  September 14, because the Hindi language (written in Devanagari script) was first adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India as the official language of the Republic of India on  September 14,  1949. The decision of using Hindi language as an official language of India was legalized by the Constitution of India (which came into effect on 26th of January in 1950). According to the Constitution of India, Hindi language written in Devanagari script was first adopted as the official language of India under the Article 343.

The school celebrated  Hindi Diwas to showcase the importance of the  national language through a special assembly  presented by the Hindi Club “ Jigyasa” on September 14, 2016  by  the Primary Wing . The assembly started with an inspirational address highlighting the importance of Hindi in the nation. The students recited  poems in Hindi and reiterated  on how the  language is an important part of the contemporary society. A Skit was presented to highlight the importance of the language. The students presented a special song “Hindi Ke Geeton Ki Duniya Mein Aao” to exemplify the importance of the occasion.

The motive of the celebration was to give opportunity to the Blue Bellians  to promote the Hindi language and also  initiate the enthusiasm among youths of the country about the Hindi language. It was an endeavour to motivate and bring positive perceptions about Hindi among Gen-Now.

The assembly concluded on a promising note where the faculty members of the Hindi Department gave hand- made greeting cards to the School Principal, Vice Principal and all the Wing Incharges. This creative gesture was acknowledged and appreciated by all.

Literature is the expressed influence of communities and societies. It spans culture, beliefs, and attributes the necessary component for corroborating how literature reflects, and portrays communities. The language from literature helps gives culture explanation of life in different society. In an attempt to create sensitivity towards literature and appreciate it in its varied moods and genres, Festa Literaria- Lit Fest was organized for the students of the Primary Wing from September 12 to 16, 2016  . Mrs.Soumya Gulati,  Assistant Director (Academic Innovation and Development) , BBGS was the inspiration and guiding force of this magnificent literary journey. She whole heartedly supported the students and the teachers to concretize their dream to reality.

There is an abundance of energy within to motivate our heart in the direction of true achievement which will help in actualizing all our dreams to reality. It was an earnest attempt of the school to create an environment of support that allows children to develop their own ideas, express their innermost feelings without any inhibition and make right choices by gaining wisdom which is through experiential learning.
As literature builds experience, the children expanded their horizons through vicarious experiences. They learnt about the past as well as the present and learnt about a variety of cultures, including their own. They discovered the common goals and similar emotions found in people of all times and places. The students of Class III participated in JAM Session which helped to hone their communication skills and Class IV enriched their vocabulary by participating in the Spell Bee Competition . Class V students made thought provoking Book Reviews which clearly depicted their understanding of the concept, command over the language, creative skills along with aesthetic abilities .

The entire week of Literary activities helped the students understand the essence of great work of writers as well as they developed the Language Skills which are pertinent to effectively communicate in the ever growing world with countless opportunities to excel.

TEACHERS DAY CELEBRATION

A teachers purpose is not to create students in his/ her own image, but to develop students who can create their own image.
Teachers Day is celebrated the world over in honour of those facilitators, mentors and guides who have moulded and shaped the destiny of countless students down the centuries. The students of class XII A , B and  C organized a special Morning Assembly dedicated to the teachers on September 5, 2016  .
 The programme commenced with the tribute the great iconic teacher and leader Shri . B.D. Gulati ji, Founder Chairperson, Blue Bells Group of Schools . The students accorded a warm welcome to the teaching fraternity . The students of Class XII recited a poem in appreciation of the facilitators followed by a brief talk on the significance of Teachers Day.  Thereafter, the students announced the tags for their teachers and gifted them a handmade card with the tag written on it as an expression of gratitude. The students of class XII recorded the observation of about their teachers and showed some videos sent by Alumni members of the school which left all the teachers feeling nostalgic and emotional.  After the assembly, the students of class XII took up the responsibility of teaching the students of classes VI to XI for three periods as per the tradition of the alma mater.
To mark the occasion, the Management of the school organized a Workshop for the teachers on Self Awareness by Ms. Manvinder Kaur Brar, a resource person from Times NIE on Self Awareness and Understanding.  It was an interactive and enriching session which was appreciated and enjoyed by the entire teaching fraternity.

PEER EDUCATOR FACILIATION ON DENGUE

The true purpose of education, it is rightly said, is to replace an empty mind with an open mind for when it comes to learning and acquiring knowledge, the sole objective of the learner is to be at the receiving end and with an open mind to permit the influx of knowledge. In sync with the same, the Health & Wellness Team along with the Peer Educators spearheaded by Dr. Alka Saxena , Assistant Director ( Health & Wellness), BBGS initiated the process of facilitation about Dengue in the month of August 2016 to sensitize the students and teachers on the spread and prevention of the disease   . This was the First Task assigned to the Peer Educators and they showcased extreme enthusiasm and responsibility when they took interactive sessions from Nursery to Class XII.

 The team members informed students about the symptoms, causes, and ways of transmission and prevention of Dengue. The Peer Mentor and Peer Educators prepared their sessions to perfection on the basis of the handouts given to them by the Health and Wellness Team.  They answered all the questions related to the disease during their sessions in different classes.  The sessions taken in the classes were supervised by the teachers of the Health & Wellness Team. The detailed information about the disease was also displayed at the strategic locations in the school as well as Health Advisory was uploaded on the school website so that each and every member of the school can be sensitized on the same.
Strengthening our commitment and mission of empowering Gen Now, a Guest Lecture was organized by the eminent doctors from the department of internal medicine from Medanta, The Medicity , Gurgaon on August 17, 2016 . This was an effort to sensitize the student community on the spread of the disease as well as its prevention and early diagnosis. The students answered the questions and the team of doctors from Medanta applauded the efforts of the students and also shared that some answers given by the students were so unique that they were spellbound by the intelligence and awareness they had about the disease.
Minds are like parachutes, they only function when they are open. It is with this vision that we forge ahead into another academic year as an enabling coordinated team  that believes in imparting an Education that inspires confidence….. confidence and courage to think differently and innovatively.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATION

Celebrations are the means to loosen up and unwind in the midst of our mundane lives. Everything is created from moment to moment, always new. Like fireworks, this universe is a celebration and we are the spectators contemplating the absolute splendor of eternal glory and pleasure of being a part of this universe. Celebrations give us the opportunity of sharing our similarities so that we could celebrate our differences without discriminating with respect to caste, creed, culture, religion, sect, communities and languages.

Janmashtami was celebrated in the School with a lot of enthusiasm. A special Morning Assembly was arranged on August 23 & 24, 2016 by the Pre Primary and Primary Wing respectively. The spirituality in the Assembly rendered a divine spell and everybody was taken by the beauty and freshness it imparted. The assembly began with a melodious bhajan sung by the choir group and recitation of some popular shlokas from the Bhagawad Gita by the students of Pre-Primary, Class II A and Class III. This was followed by students talking about the story of the birth of Krishna and how He became the child of Vasudev and Yashoda. . A power point presentation showing the “Bal Leelas” of Lord Krishna was shown to the students alongwith a dance presentation. The students were also explained the importance and sanctity of the festival followed by a melodious bhajan, sung by the students of Pre-Primary Wing which added solemnity to the occasion.

A musical play showing glimpses of Krishnas life was presented by the students of Class II A and Class III. The show-stopper was the dance presented by students of the Primary Wing  wherein students dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha. They were adorned in their attire and drew applause and appreciation from everyone. Krishnas cradle was very beautifully decorated which created a pious atmosphere all around. Hymns in the praise of lord Krishna were sung by all.

To make the moment more momentous, the achievers of various Inter School Events were felicitated by the revered Principal of the school. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Maam congratulated the students for a wonderful presentation and urged all to be the real custodians of rich Indian culture and take forward the glory of India.
