Trip to Chopta – Tungnath Adventure Camp

The four-day adventure to Chopta–Tungnath was far more than a school trip — it was a soul-stirring journey of courage, connection, and self-discovery for the spirited students of Classes XI and XII of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School.

Cradled in the tranquil embrace of the majestic Himalayas, the journey offered a profound escape from the mundane, replacing screens and textbooks with snow-capped peaks, whispering pines, and endless skies. The experience began with an overnight expedition to Dehradun, unfolding into scenic campsites adorned with Swiss tents and charming wooden cottages nestled in nature’s lap.

Each day brimmed with thrilling challenges — Burma Bridge crossings, Commando Net crawls, wall climbing conquests, and rope courses that tested not just physical strength but awakened resilience, leadership, and unshakeable teamwork. Nights were alive with laughter and bonding through campfire games, exhilarating treasure hunts, and a DJ night beneath a sky full of stars, where every moment became a memory etched in the heart.

The crown jewel of the experience was the awe-inspiring trek to Tungnath — the highest Shiva temple in the world. Though the trail was steep and demanding, each step carried students closer to inner strength and spiritual serenity. For a determined few, the journey extended to Chandrashila Peak, where the panoramic view of the mighty Himalayas left everyone breathless, not from fatigue, but wonder.

Beyond adventure, the camp was a classroom without walls — teaching discipline, self-reliance, and deep environmental sensitivity. It forged friendships, tested limits, and instilled values that no lecture ever could.

This was not just a trip — it was a chapter of growth, a spark of transformation. In the silence of the mountains and the rhythm of adventure, students did not just discover nature — they discovered who they truly are.

NCC Training Camp

Discipline. Duty. Dedication. – NCC Camp Chronicles at BDBBPS

BDBBPS proudly witnesses the unceasing energy and zeal of its cadets at the ongoing NCC Training Camp.

The first three days have been a true embodiment of patriotism, growth, and discipline. Each day begins with rejuvenating yoga sessions, followed by an inspiring address from the Camp Commandant, who instills in the cadets the true essence and purpose of the NCC.

The .22 Rifle Training introduced cadets to hands-on experience in rifle disassembly, assembly, and maintenance, sharpening their accuracy, focus, and discipline. A motivational talk on the NCC’s contribution to nation-building encouraged cadets to reflect on their responsibilities as future citizens. The National Integration Capsule promoted experiential unity, physical endurance, and team spirit through engaging group activities.

With every drill, session, and salute, our cadets are evolving into resilient, capable, and confident leaders of tomorrow. BDBBPS salutes their spirit!

The transition from Primary to Middle School marks a pivotal milestone in a student’s academic journey, bringing new responsibilities, environments, and expectations. To support students through this important change, the Health & Wellness Programme, under the aegis of ADEPT- A Program for Enhancing Life Skills, organized a thoughtfully curated Transition Session for Grade VI students on April 24, 2025, at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School. This initiative, steered by the visionary mentorship of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), Blue Bells Group of Schools, is part of an indigenous effort to ensure a smooth and confident progression into the Middle Wing.

A preliminary activity was conducted to explore students' emotions, perspectives, and anticipations in which the students collaboratively designed collages expressing their emotions and expectations about moving to the Middle Wing.

This led to an experiential learning session addressing their concerns and curiosities. Facilitators guided discussions on self-awareness, adaptability, and communication as tools for building friendships and thriving in new settings. Practical strategies like task breakdown, time management, and goal setting were introduced to support both academic and emotional adjustment.

Peer Educators from Grade VII added a personal touch by sharing how Life Skills helped them transition with confidence. This inclusive initiative reflects the Health & Wellness team’s dedication to holistic student development, promoting readiness, resilience, and social-emotional growth.

Observance of World No Tobacco Day: A Compelling Call for a Tobacco-Free Tomorrow

In a powerful initiative to champion the cause of a healthier, tobacco-free society, the Health & Wellness Team of Blue Bells Group of Schools, under the aegis of Adept – A Program for Enhancing Life Skills, Powered by wellnesswise.in, orchestrated a deeply impactful assembly to mark World No Tobacco Day on May 20, 2025, followed by a Signature Campaign.

Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, a visionary mentor, was instrumental in guiding the team to curate this special assembly aimed at generating awareness among all stakeholders of the school.

Through a hard-hitting theatrical skit, an impassioned address by the Health & Wellness Ambassador, and a unifying pledge, students and staff were inspired to confront the harsh realities of tobacco use and embrace positive lifestyle choices. As part of the World No Tobacco Day (WNTD) observance, students of Blue Bells Group of Schools were sensitized to whole heartedly participate in the poster-making activity. A signature campaign, was organized wherein each and every staff and students actively and collectively engaged to stand against tobacco.

The event was a compelling blend of awareness, empathy, and empowerment. It addressed not only the physical harms of tobacco but also its social and emotional toll, igniting a sense of responsibility among young minds to advocate for change within their families and communities.

Biodiversity is humanity’s most invaluable treasure—yet too often, the most overlooked.

In a powerful tribute to this irreplaceable gift of nature, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School marked World Biodiversity Day with passion and purpose. The students of Class VII-B led a thought-provoking assembly that celebrated biodiversity and championed it.

The event opened with a gripping skit inspired by a real-life incident from Telangana, where courageous students rose to halt the destruction of forest land. Their story served as a stirring reminder that real change begins with collective action. The message was clear: Every voice counts in the battle to protect our planet.

A moving interview segment followed, spotlighting the legendary environmental heroes Thimmakka and Chikkaiah, the humble couple who single-handedly planted and nurtured over 400 banyan trees across Karnataka. Their story of selfless service left the audience inspired and awed, proving that devotion to nature needs no formal education—only a boundless heart.

The highlight of the celebration was a mesmerizing dance performance—a visual ode to Mother Earth in full bloom, radiant and flourishing under the gentle care of humankind. The performance captured the essence of harmony between humans and nature, leaving a lasting imprint on every spectator.

On May 19, 2025, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector-10, Gurugram, stood proudly at the crossroads of global harmony as it hosted an extraordinary Virtual International Cultural Exchange Programme with Russia. This momentous event was not just a presentation—it was a vibrant celebration of India’s timeless legacy, curated and presented with grace and eloquence by the students of Grade IX.

In a visually engaging and intellectually rich PowerPoint presentation, our students took their international peers on a mesmerising journey through the heart of Indian culture. From the luminous joy of Diwali to the riot of colours in Holi, from the intricate drapes of sarees and turbans to the aromatic wonders of Indian cuisine, and the soulful rhythm of classical ragas to the powerful expression of Bharatnatyam and Kathak—the presentation captured the soul of India in all its splendour and diversity.

What truly elevated the experience was the insightful and dynamic Q&A session, where Russian students enthusiastically engaged with questions delving into the deeper meanings behind Indian traditions. With poise and confidence, our students offered thoughtful responses, explaining how Indian festivals promote harmony, the cultural symbolism of various dishes, and the way tradition and modernity beautifully coexist in Indian society.

The event commenced with the auspicious lighting of the Diya, symbolizing the dispelling of ignorance and the dawn of wisdom. This was followed by a soul-stirring motivational song performed by the young Blue Bellians, setting the tone for the momentous occasion. As the drumbeats echoed through the Seminar Hall, the newly elected council members marched in with poise and purpose, embodying the values they stand for.
