SCIENCE FACULTY SELECTED AS AN EXPERT AT NSC 2017

Dr. Anisha Gupta was selected as an expert to attend National Science Concours 2017 - Summer Science Camp at Solan from June 18 to June 23, 2017. Dr. Gupta took a One Day Workshop on Forensic Science for the Second Level Winners of NSC 2017. National Science Concour  is a National Level Online Exam conducted for the students of Classes VI to XII. Every year for the students who  clear the Second Level , a free Summer Camp is organised. Science Experts from all over India are invited to take Workshop for the students to give then hands on experience of various scientific concepts. Last year Sehajpreet and Saumya of our school were also invited for the Camp and were amongst thirty five students selected all over India . Sehajpreet Kaur  of Class VIII was also invited for the Camp this year

TECH TOP INNOVATION SUMMIT 2017

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and  TechTop   organized  the first 48 Hour Tinkerfest on July 12-13, 2017 for the students of Classes VIII to XII .  The students were given exposure to the process of innovation through activities in Physical design and fabrication, Electronics and coding, Problem identification, Solution ideation, Digital fabrication and prototyping. The students of five renowned schools of Gurugram competed in the events adjudged by experts from MIT and IIT .

The winning team of the event was ‘Team – The Shield’ from Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School  comprising of five students from Class XI – Daksh Sharma , Aneesh Sawant, Allaika Yadav, Kartikey Gulia and Arpan Mohanty.  The team made a Robot – ‘CHIDHIYA UDD’ and this was the most original idea used by any team during the Tinkerfest. The team   demonstrated their project at the Closing Ceremony Of Techtop Innovation Summit on July 14, 2017 at IIT Delhi.

The school team got good response and everyone was  amazed to see a new version of an age-old game named " Chhiddiya Udd ".  The efforts of the team were appreciated  by the Chief Guest Mr. Amitabh Kant , CEO, NITI Ayog and Mr. Rajesh Nair, Visiting Scholar, MIT and Founder of Tech Top and school got recognition as one of the top twelve teams of the Tinkerfest organized all over India by NITI Ayog.

INSPIRING YOUNG MINDS TO INNOVATE: TINKERFEST 2017

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School in collaboration with Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog and  TechTop   organized  the first 48 Hour Tinkerfest on July 12-13, 2017 for the students of Classes VIII to XII  . The school was selected to host the mega event as it enjoys the privilege of having   the first functional Hi-Tech ATL Lab in  Gurgaon which provided a platform to   the students  to explore, innovate. & experiment with latest tech tools.  The students were given exposure to the process of innovation through activities in Physical design and fabrication, Electronics and coding, Problem identification, Solution ideation, Digital fabrication and prototyping.

On the Opening day of the event on July 12, 2017, young netizens got  an excellent   opportunity  to work with tools and equipment to understand the concepts of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and it also  fostered inventiveness among students. The event saw an encouraging participation from renowned schools of Gurgaon and was mentored by  experts from MIT and IIT , Delhi.  Mr. Rajesh Nair, Visiting Scholar, MIT and Founder of Tech Top , Mr. Suresh Ranjan  and Dhruv Saideva , Research Scholars at  MIT and Mr. Noor, Founder CRB, Abu Dhabi, UAE were the visitors. The students were mentored by Mr. Nicolas Aronas, Mechanical Engineering , MIT , Mr. Sahil Kumar Kejriwal, IIT Delhi ( Textile Technology), Mr. Sudheer Ravada, Energy Engineer from Central University of Jharkhand and Mr. Harsh Pathak , Computer Science Engineer from IIIT, Delhi. The students were provided hands on experience on Sketch up Make Software and Arduino Board. The students used these tech tools to design various objects, book marks and smart phones etc. and few of the designs were printed on 3D printer.  

The Closing Ceremony of the mega event was on July 13, 2017 where all the students were awarded with the Certificate of participation. The students showcased their understanding and knowledge of the new software through their video and power point presentation. It is this solid foundation that was provided to Nishant Singh Hada and Shivam Pandey which  reaped rich dividends when they performed exceedingly well in the IIT-JEE (Advance ) 2017 and bagged  a coveted seat in the topnotch Engineering Institute of India . We, at Blue Bells believe that ‘Victory’ is our motto, whatever we desire, we accomplish and we achieve. Down the years, Blue Bellians have given a new dimension to the term ‘Academic Excellence’ and  success is not an isolated story for them.

The Class X Batch of the Academic Session 2016-17 made the institution proud by registering an excellent Board Result.  Out of 140 students who appeared 40 students secured 10 CGPA and 89 students secured A1 Grade.

The Management and the Director of the school extended their heartiest felicitations to the Principal, teachers and students for this outstanding performance in the Board Examination.

2^nd MINI HARAYANA STATE ROLL BALL CHAMPIONSHIP 2017

 Champions do not become champions when they win an event, but in the hours , weeks , months and years they spend preparing for it . The victorious performance itself is merely the demonstration of their championship character. The students of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School personified the above  lines  as they proved their mettle and expertise on the Skating Rink when they participated in the 2^nd Mini Haryana State Roll Ball Championship 2017 on June 3 & 4, 2017 at Bhavan Vidyalaya , Panchkula  .

The Girls and Boys teams from different states competed in the Championship. The team from Gurgaon  comprised of selected skaters from renowned schools of the city.   Shivranjini, Dikshita and Ahaana , students of the school were the members of Under 11 Girls Team from Gurgaon who bagged the Runners Up Position by defeating the Girls Skating Team from Sonipat in the Championship. Laxman of Blue  Bells Public School was a part of the winning Gurgaon Under 11 Boys Team who clinched the Third Position by defeating Under 11 Boys Team from Rohtak.

The Management and Director of the school extended their heartiest congratulations to the skaters and the Skating Coach for this wonderful performance .

AN EXCELLENT CLASS XII BOARD RESULT

Excellence is a gradual culmination of always striving to do better. It is doing a common thing in an uncommon way. Registering an enduring mark of success on the world is tough. It requires commitment, determination, crystal clear vision, steadfastness of aim and objective to accomplish the set targets and goals. Blue Bellians have again proved their mettle by achieving an excellent Class XII Board Result in the Academic Session 2016-17. Out of 112 students who appeared for the Board Examination 16  students have scored more than 90% marks.

The BBGS have a well regulated Health & Wellness Programme devised in-house under the inspiring initiative and guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena  , Deputy Director ( Health & Wellness ), BBGS. Ma’am is an academician who leaves behind a tale of professionalism and progress. The schools have integrated the THOTS Program (The Higher Order Thinking Skills) for the students under the Health & Wellness Programme . It is in recognition of this meritorious performance in honing Life Skills along with Thinking Skills in Gen Now  that Blue Bells Group of Schools  were felicitated with the  recognition of Futuristic Schools Of India  2017 by Rethink India Foundation. 

It was a proud moment for the Blue Bells Family when  Dr. Alka Saxena , Deputy Director ( Health & Wellness), BBGS was honoured with the recognition in a glittering Ceremony on May 11, 2017 . The event witnessed the attendance and nominations of many renowned schools of India and the feat was stupendous and only three schools from Gurgaon were shortlisted for the award.

SOCIAL SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

“ The history of world is full of men who rose to leadership by their  self-confidence , bravery and tenacity.”

In the present days of global competition with a view to meet the global challenge, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School is completely devoted to improve the quality of education by smarten the learning process, increasing the interest and talent of students by motivating them to understand the in-depth knowledge of the subject and providing them a platform to perform.. To empower the students with the unique tool of knowledge attainment, the students appeared in the International Social Studies Olympiad, a test of competence and proficiency in History, Geography and Civics is held annually at the National and International levels based on syllabus prescribed by CBSE/ICSE and the State Boards. The students appeared for the Olympiad for the first time and it was overwhelming to get the result which showcased the rich knowledge of our students . Rehan Qureshi not only bagged the Gold Medal but also a Consolation Prize of Rs. 500/- cash. Hitsha and Harsh Maheshwari clichéd the Gold Medal in their categories .

NATIONAL SCIENCE CONCOUR 2016

The world is passing through an era of transition-cultural, social, economical and one has to keep pace with changes as they are an inevitable part of our existence. Education has modified with the changing times. We, at Blue Bells believe that every child is endowed with rich potential and education further shapes and cultivates the desired skills. With the vibrant thoughts and abundant zeal one can reach the pinnacle of success, explore new horizon and create new vistas for the others to follow.

In sync with the same mission, the students of the school participated in a National Level Science Aptitude Examination – CONCOUR 2016.The result for the same was declared on April 15, 2017. It was a proud moment for the school as two of our students have cleared the Second Level and have been selected for the Summer Camp for which the venue would be declared later. Sehajpreet Kaur and Pari Chauhan will be attending the fully sponsored camp and would get hands on experience on various scientific procedures.
