“CARPE DIEM”  - MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE FEST AT  AMITY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL

The young  Blue Bellians from the Primary Wing brought laurels for their alma mater when they not only competed but proved their excellence  at an Inter School Competition “Carpe Diem”  - Multiple Intelligence Fest , 2017 held at Amity International School , Sec 46 on August 31, 2017 . Around 12 schools participated in the competition. Saksham Pandita and Paras Salgotra (Class III ) won First prize in Radio Gaga (Radio  Jockey ) . Jasmita Kumar and Pranav (Class IV) won Second Prize in DigiSpace and Aditi Singh, Shreya Yadav Prisha Sharma, Jahnvi Gupta, Tanya Sinha, Dhanya Negi, Ipsha Jain, Samarpit Chabra (Class IV) enthralled the audience with their well choreographed dance steps and won Third Prize in the “Street Rhythm”. School Principal Ms Anjali Nagpal congratulated the teams and appreciated their enthusiasm and team spirit.

INTER SCHOOL LAWN TENNIS TOURNAMENT

Games impart the essential qualities for being a good individual along with honing of a sportsman. The first and the foremost thing learnt is the regularity and punctuality which form the backbone of good academic achievement. In sync with the same mission , Khushi Goyal, a student of Class VI A  bagged the First Position in Under 14 Category  in an Inter School Lawn Tennis Tournament at Rabindranth World School, Gurugram on August 30, 2017 .

The Management & Director of the school congratulated Khushi for her remarkable performance. 

HARYANA BLOCK LEVEL ATHLETICS TOURNAMENT

 Blue Bells strongly believes that what a mind can conceive and believe it can achieve. This is the guiding ideology with which the students prepare and participate in various competitions with utmost zeal and enthusiasm. The students of the school participated in the Haryana Block Level Athlectics Tournament on August 29, 2017 at Tau Devi Lal Stadium .

The school Under 17 Boys Team Clinched the Second Position in the Relay Race Competition at the Block Level and got selected for the District Level  Tournament .

PRESIDIUM MUN 2017

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School , Sector 10, Gurugram, fosters the growth of students as  leaders who would delegate and present their innovative views for global development . In sync with the same vision , the School Delegate team of 16 students presented their nominations in Presidium Model United Nations with great zeal from August 25 to 27, 2017  at Presidium, Gurgaon-57.

Global crises, diplomatic strategies, innovative committees and a group of motivated young students striving to make a point through arguments and rebuttals, the Model United Nations (MUN)  was abuzz with the theme of Sustainable Development  that tested the depth of knowledge and research of the participants. Two Delegates of the school clinched the  Special Mention Award in the battle of words where more than 500 delegates from renowned schools of Delhi & NCR competed  .  Kartikey Gulia (XI A) presented his views as a member of UN General Assembly and Garvit Gulati (XD) represented the   World Trade Organization. The students were lauded for their depth of research and knowledge on their country, speeches, and familiarity with the rules. Their awareness and impromptu deliverance unfurled a cornucopia of diligence perked with ingenuity.

The students  were felicitated  in a glittering ceremony in New Delhi on August 27, 2017 by Ms. Sudha Goyal, Chairperson, Presidium . “Such a milieu of thought-provoking think-tank is sure to instill a sense of responsibility towards international concerns. It will also create an ambience of ingenuity incognito,” is the thought that has and will always motivate the Blue Bellians to be the global citizen of this ever growing world.

OPEN DISTRICT  MEN & WOMEN VOLLEY BALL  TOURNAMENT

 Sports build the character and  promote physical fitness, it lays importance on healthy lifestyle and helps in developing social skills. Thus , it  plays a pivotal role in instilling among our impressionable learners values that would hold them in good stead throughout their lives, such as, discipline, perseverance, team spirit, sportsmanship etc.

The success of our students in Sports bears testimony to the school’s endeavours in encouraging sporting talent as well as our students’ indomitable will and skill to win. The Girls  Volley Ball team bagged the Third Position in the Open District Men & Women Volley Ball Tournament on August 18 & August 19, 2017 at Nehru Stadium under the Women Category. The school team defeated Bal Bharti Public School , Manesar and Salwan Public School to register the coveted position in the Tournament.

GENESIS: HEALTH & WELLNESS PROGRAMME WEEK-AN INTER SCHOOL MEGA LIFE SKILLS FEST

We, at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School strongly, feel that if the foundation of values is strongly laid and children are equipped in their life skills then future will naturally be secure, as these children will grow up to become committed and confident citizens. With this in mind , the school hosted Genesis – Health & Wellness Week , An Inter School Life Skills Mega Fest on August 17  & August 18, 2017 . It is one of the unique initiatives of Dr. Alka saxena, deputy Director ( Health and Wellness),BBGS,  who along with  the team of school counselors and teachers designed  the competitions and activities which would help the students to discover their inherent potential .

The students of Classes VI-XII  were involved in Poster Making ,  Street Play, Debate  and Critical Thinking activities . It was a proud moment for the school when the school clinched First Position in Street Play (VI-VIII), First Runners Up Position (Team) in Debate Competition and Second Runners Up in Street Play (IX-XII). The event  witnessed  enthusiastic participation from fourteen renowned  schools of Gurugram.

Creative people make pursuit of knowledge their priority; they see the things differently and put in their intellect to give rise to a master product. With the aim of honing inherent talents in the students, the school participates in various competitions. In sync with the same , the students of the school participated in an Inter School  Competition at Shalom Hills International School on August 12,2017 .

The students of the Primary Wing  proved their mettle by giving a   tough competition to the other participants who represented many renowned schools of Gurgaon. Samarpit Chabra and Harshita Kandwal  bagged the First  position in Spellathaon- a Spell Bee Competition for the students of Classes IV and V  .  Sumahi Yadav and Kamakshi Yadav of Class III clinched the First Runners Up Position in Craft-O-Mania.

 The Management, Director and Principal of the school extended their felicitations to the students for the wonderful performance.

In a special assembly, held on August 11 & 16 , 2017  students from Classes Nur to V ( Session 2016-17) were awarded Academic Excellence and Regularity Punctuality Awards as recognition of their outstanding academic merit and full attendance. This ceremony is one of the most anticipated and time tested tradition of all schools, when gleaming enthusiasm and the triumphant spirit of the young scholars can be seen and felt. The event commenced by humbly invoking the blessings of the almighty with a soulful rendition.

A STELLAR ACHIEVEMENT BY AYUSH SAPRA , ALUMNUS, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School

Dreams are the illustrations from the book our soul is writing about us . Whatever you dream, you desire, you accomplish. These words were given a shape of a beautiful reality by Ayush Sapra, Alumnus of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Class of 2014, when he joined Whistling Woods School of Filmmaking to pursue a career in the film industry. It was a proud moment for the Blue Bells Family when Ayush completed his B.Sc. in Film Making with a specialization in Editing and was handed over his degree in the convocation held on July 20, 2017, by his mentor and Guru Mr. SubhashGhai,Founder and Chairman of the institute who is also a renowned producer, director and screenwriter in the Film Industry.Ayushjoined as an Editor in Mukta Arts in the month of May. He has been bestowed with the golden opportunity to work directlyunder Mr. SubhashGhai in his present and future prestigious projects.

Ayush shared that he had always aspired to get into the industry and is proud to have routed it through Whistling Woods- one of the most premiere institutes for youngsters aiming at a career in film-making , as it has given him an opportunity to get into it with a strong foothold of technical knowledge. He also urged the parents to let children follow their dreams as he says confidently, “Do what you love and you shall definitely succeed”.

SPORTS ACHIEVEMENT

“ Champions become Champions when they  inherit - A Desire, A Dream , A Vision.”The enhancement of physical and mental development of children is  the most important contribution of sports . We at Blue Bells believe Sports is a way of our life . In sync with the same, the students participated in various sport competitions and bought laurels for the alma mater.

·        Continuing with the achievements for skating, the Skating Team of the school participated in Haryana School Games Tournament. Ragini Piplani won 2 gold medals IN 500MTS & 1000MTS Rink Quads Race. JIYA MEHTA bagged 2 silvers in 500MTS & 1000MTS Inline Rink Race. Ragini & Jiya were also selected for the state in Speed & Roll Ball Event . Jatan, Aditya & Mayank were selected in Roll Ball Under-17 Years Gurgaon  Team for playing at the state level.Under- 17 Years Boys Mixed Team from BBPS and BBMS played ROLL BALL and won gold medal.

·        In Haryana School State Level Volley Ball Tournament, three students – Ghazal Dagar, Aayushi Raj, Jyoti Gujjar are selected for U-19 Category in the State.

·        In Haryana School State Level Volley Ball Tournament, Payal Yadav is selected to play in U-17 Category in the state at Mahendra Garh from September 11-13, 2017 .

·        In Haryana School State Level Volley Ball Tournament, Anushkha and Swarnima are selected to play in U-14 Category in the State at Panipat from October 6-8, 2017 .

§  Prateek Kataria is an ace swimmer who has proved his mettle in various competitions.  He secured First Position in Open District Swimming Competition (Backstroke-200 m) and Third  Position in Open District Swimming Competition ( Breast -50 m). In Haryana School District Swimming Competition – First Position in Backstroke -100mts and selected for the State Level. Haryana School District Swimming Competition – First Position in Backstroke -200mts and selected for the State Level. Now , he is competing  in CBSE Cluster Swimming Competition at Pathankot from September 6-9, 2017 .

·        Yogesh Kataria  bagged Third Position in the in Open District Swimming Competition –( Breast – 50 m).

§  Breaking the barriers and tracing their steps on a new path is the Under 14 -Girls Football Team of the school. In Haryana Block Level Football Tournament – Under 14 Girls team reached the Semi Finals and bagged the Third Position in the Tournament.

§   Jiya  & Ishiska Kataria of Class VII are selected to play in the State Level Tournament.

§  Diya and Aashna of Class VII along with Riya of Class VIII are selected to attend the Training Camp for the State Level Tournament.
