Independence Day Celebration by Pre-Primary Wing

‘Freedom is the will to be responsible to ourselves.’

The joyful echoes of freedom and responsibility resonated with exuberance as the young learners of Classes Pre-Nursery to II came together to celebrate India's 77th Independence Day on August 11, 2023.

The celebration began with a Special Assembly by the students of Class II B. The highlight of the assembly was a captivating skit that shed light on the lives of illustrious freedom fighters like Rani Laxmi Bai, Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose, and Sarojini Naidu.

Little patriots presented a heartfelt patriotic song to promote national unity and patriotism. It was followed by a wonderful ramp walk by the students wherein they showcased the diversity of India.  A captivating dance presentation by the young learners infused the atmosphere with patriotic fervor, celebrating the essence of unity and love for the nation.

As the other classes of the Pre-Primary Wing joined in for the grand celebration in the school atrium, a wonderful display of kinesthetic skills by the little ones made everyone appreciate their agility as they performed Free Hand Exercises, Mass Drill to patriotic tunes and excellently coordinated Parachute Drill.

The entire campus echoed with the singing of the National Anthem, uniting everyone in a heartfelt moment of patriotism. Addressing the students on the occasion, the School Leadership Team encouraged the students to take care of the country through small deeds, reminding them that even little actions can make a big difference in building a better and stronger nation for everyone.

NAGASAKI DAY CELEBRATION

Nagasaki Day, the anniversary of the bombing of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945, is observed every year in remembrance of the people who were killed instantly or later from injuries related to the atomic bomb dropped by the United States. 2023 marks the 78th Anniversary of Nagasaki Day. The students of Class IX C presented an informative and heart-touching assembly on the occasion on August 08, 2023. The students presented a lively Skit and a Talk Show to highlight the plight of the common man, including the farmers during such disasters. They presented an interesting brainstorming session through a thoughtful Quiz session. The assembly culminated with a patriotic dance that sent the message of living in peace and harmony to everyone.

 Also, the Leadership team impressed upon reasons for participating in MUNs, wherein students are sensitized with the global happenings, the theme of the BDBBPS MUN 2023 on August 26 & 27 being Nurturing Harmony- Peace in the Heart of Chaos.

ADMAD COMPETITION

An Ad-Mad Competition was conducted for the students of Grade II on August 09, 2023, to enhance their creative thinking and communication skills. The students presented delightful advertisements using their creativity and imagination. The excitement level of the audience reached sky-high while watching the enchanting performances by the little advertisers. The event proved to be a wonderful platform as the students got a great opportunity to explore the world of advertisements.

Assembly on Friendship-VA

"The only way to have a friend is to be one." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

With an aim to celebrate the spirit of friendship and promote a sense of unity among students, a Special Assembly was conducted by the students of Grade V A on August 7, 2023.

The assembly commenced with the recitation of soul-stirring poem on friendship which beautifully expressed the joys of building strong bonds with one another. Through a unique and delightful presentation ‘A Recipe for a True Friendship’, the students creatively outlined the essential ingredients that make a friend valuable. The importance of friendship was further accentuated through a heartfelt acrostic poem on the word 'FRIEND.'

It was followed by a thought-provoking skit based on the timeless story of Krishna and Sudama.  The skit gave a very important message that true friends care and support each other unconditionally. The lively and colorful dance brought everyone together, celebrating different hues of friendship and inspiring everyone to embrace and appreciate each other's uniqueness.

Addressing the students on the occasion, the School Leadership Team inspired the students to be the kind of friend they wish to have, reminding them that small acts of kindness can have a profound impact on others.

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF CONSCIENCE

We are glad to share that one of our students, Tanmay Joshi from Grade IX A participated in an international event celebrating The International Day of Conscience, organised by The Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), in celebration of the UN's adoption of ICDAY on July 25, 2023 and won appreciation of the audience and organisers alike.

POEM /JINGLE RECITATION COMPETITION

To nurture the hidden talents of students, a Poem/ Jingle Recitation Competition was organised for the students of Grade I on the ongoing theme ‘Food’ on August 08, 2023.  The event not only provided a platform for students to hone their recitation skills and enhance their confidence in public speaking, but it also fostered their understanding of nutrition and healthy food choices. The active participation of the students, coupled with their creatively designed costumes brought joyful smiles to all.

FRIENDSHIP DAY ASSEMBLY-Pre Primary Wing

‘Friendship is the purest bond that brings companionship and joy.’

 To cherish the bond of friendship, a Special Assembly was conducted by the students of Grade I C on August 4, 2023. The assembly commenced with the Morning Prayer and the Gaytri Mantra. It was followed by a beautiful poem recitation that highlighted the importance of friends in our lives.  The rendition of a delightful song had everyone singing along, celebrating the joy of friendship and fun with friends. With graceful moves and beaming smiles, the students presented a mesmerizing dance presentation, portraying the value of such an important relationship.

 The School Leadership Team encouraged the students to always being kind, supportive, and caring towards one another.

FRIENDSHIP DAY ASSEMBLY (MIDDLE WING)

It is said true friendship is the greatest of all blessings. Friends are the gems who will never ever leave you alone in any circumstance even if the whole world is acting against you. To celebrate the bond of friendship, a special assembly was organized by the students of VIII C.

The assembly started with morning prayer. A beautiful thought on friendship brought smiles on the faces of the children.

A mime was presented to discuss the real meaning of friendship. The mime gave the message of what it is like to be someone’s friend and understand the bond that two friends share. Then came a dance performance and the kids were successful in delivering the moral through their dance that friends should act together and should guide each other.

Principal sir , in his speech mentioned that having a best friend by your side is one of the best gifts you can ever get from God. Middle Wing Leader, Ms. Suneeta Kaul, explained the importance of choosing friends wisely. The assembly ended on a happy note as the children went back with gleaming eyes and broad smiles on their faces.

FANCY DRESS COMPETITION

With the aim to provide a platform to the students to explore their talents, build confidence, and showcase their creativity, a Fancy Dress Competition with the theme 'Nature’ was organised for the students of Classes Pre-Nursery to KG. The vibrant costumes, engaging performances, and confident stage presence impressed everyone. The enthusiasm and creativity of the students during the competition made it a truly enjoyable and valuable learning experience for all. 

Astronomy Session For Classes III - IX

‘Exploring the stars unlocks a universe of wonders and sparks our imagination to new heights.’

With the aim to kindle a deep sense of wonder about the universe, the Astronomy Sessions were organized for the students of Classes III-V and VI-IX in two slots on July 31, 2023. The resource person for the session was Mr. Arun from Space India.

 The engaging hands-on activities, such as crafting comets using dry ice, sand, and proteins, helped the students gain a tangible understanding of different celestial phenomenon. Through an experiment, the students were shown the different colours of stars like red, blue, green, and violet and were explained the reasons behind these bright shades. The students had the unique opportunity to launch a rocket which was indeed a thrilling experience for them.

 The Astronomy Presentation not only imparted knowledge but also sparked a profound curiosity about the universe, inspiring them to explore its mysteries with wonder and awe.
