Dussehra Celebration

Dussehra, a festival celebrating the victory of good over evil, reinforces our commitment to kindness, generosity, and the path of righteousness. To impart the profound message embodied by this festival, the students of Grade II and Sarojini Naidu House (Primary Wing) organised Special Assemblies in different slots on October 19 & 20, 2023.

The assembly of Grade II commenced with the rendition of a soul-stirring bhajan by the choir group, dedicated to Lord Rama. It was followed by a captivating Nukkad Natak titled ‘Aaj ka Ravan’ that depicted the presence of evil in today's society and how it can be dealt with, calmly and intelligently. A colourful presentation that showcased the celebration of Dussehra in different states of India was truly enthralling.

In the Primary Wing Assembly, the students not only presented an inspiring poem and a song that left an indelible mark on the audience but also highlighted how the teachings from this festival continue to hold great significance even in the present time.

The assemblies concluded with the energetic dance presentations that soaked everyone in the spirit of the festival, with all the students and teachers dancing to the beats of dandiya.

The School Leadership Team appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them to continue spreading positivity and making the world a better place through their actions and choices.

‘Raahein- The Positive Parenting Guide’ Presented by Wellness Wise by Dr. Alka (Navigating the Teen Years Together)

Children actively look to us for guidance, affection, and encouragement throughout their journey. Strengthening positive parenting skills not only provides our children with a feeling of safety but also nurtures essential life skills within them. In alignment with the goal of ensuring the overall well-being of children, Wellness Wise by Dr. Alka organized an enriching, engaging, interactive, and activity-based workshop - ‘Raahein- The Positive Parenting Guide’ (Navigating the Teen Years Together) for the parents of adolescents on October 7 & 12, 2023, in the premises of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Sector 10, Gurugram.

Dr. Alka Saxena, Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator and Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, was the esteemed resource person for the workshop. During an interactive learning session involving hands-on activities, the emphasis was placed on vital topics, such as Understanding developmental task of adolescence, Effective Communication, Empathy, and Conflict Resolution. Additionally, parents were encouraged to engage in open conversations with their children, who are attempting to comprehend the world through their unique lenses.

Dr. Alka urged parents to support their child's skill development and guide them through this challenging phase. Parents can constructively contribute to assisting their children in acquiring essential life skills such as self-awareness, communication, and respectful conflict resolution.

The parents expressed sincere gratitude for the meticulously organized session. They actively participated in the activities and gained valuable insights into the importance of building a strong connection with their children. The workshop was highly regarded and appreciated by them.

FINANCIAL LITERACY ASSEMBLY

AN INFORMATIVE ASSEMBLY BY FINANCIAL LITERACY CLUB (SENIOR WING)

Financial literacy is the knowledge of how to make smart decisions with money. This includes preparing a budget, knowing how much to save, deciding favourable loan terms, understanding impacts on credit, etc. The Financial Literacy Club of the Senior Wing of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School undertook the responsibility of educating their peers about the importance of managing finances. Along with the regular features, they presented an informative speech and quiz on the topic Why Can't We Print More Currency Notes to Eradicate Poverty.

Ms. Preeti Phutela, Senior Wing Leader, addressed the students and appreciated their efforts. Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, the Principal, discussed the importance of terms like saving money, recession, inflation, etc.

Overall, it was an enlightening experience to be a part of the assembly for all the students.

ON THE THEME ‘GRANDPARENTS- OUR GUIDING STARS’

We, at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells, believe that every child is potentially the light of the world. To hone and sharpen the life skills of the multi-talented youngsters today, as well as to provide a platform where Gen Now can share and exchange their creative, critical, and innovative ideas, ‘Empezar’: A Beginning, Health & Wellness Fiesta, an annual event exclusively designed for Primary Wing students, was organized on October 27, 2023, under the aegis of the Health & Wellness Programe, BDBBPS. The theme for the celebration was “Grandparents: Our Guiding Stars.” The Health & Wellness Team, under the inspiring guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, conceptualized the event as a platform for innovation and self-expression.

A wide range of activities were crafted by the Health & Wellness team, to unleash creativity within the young scholars. These included ‘Souvenirs for Grandparents’ for Class III, ‘Creative Planner for Grandparents’ for Class IV, and ‘Creative Organizers for Grandparents’ for Class V. The students enthusiastically participated in these activities, expressing their love and gratitude towards their grandparents.  The students' work was artistically showcased during the Grandparents Day Celebration on September 30, 2023, garnering considerable acclaim and acknowledgment from the audience. This occasion marked a distinctive initiative by the Health & Wellness Team to foster a connection between students and our cultural heritage, highlighting the pivotal role of elders in our families.

Dr. Alka praised the dedication of the young Blue Bellians and encouraged them to stay connected to their heritage, emphasizing the crucial role grandparents play as strong pillars of support within families as radiant stars and guiding angels.

The joyful atmosphere and excitement exhibited by both students and visitors at the event stand as a proud testament to the unwavering dedication of the BDBBPS Health & Wellness Team.

THEATRE CLUB ASSEMBLY

Theatre has the power to move, inspire, transform, and educate in ways that no other art form can.

The Theatre Club at Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School adopts a different technique to enhance children's innate skills for acting and drama. During the club period, the students are taught different terms related to Theatre. They are also taught techniques for better execution such as voice modulation, expression, principles of the stage, the details of backstage & front stage, etc.

The students of the Theatre Club of the Middle Wing presented their learning in the assembly held on October 5, 2023. Along with the regular features of assembly, a play on Gender Equality was presented to spread awareness on the sensitive topic.

A monologue from the famous play Andha Yug was also enacted based on the story Ashvathama. The participants utilized their creativity and imagination to present well-knit acts. The acts represented an amalgamation of talent, skills, and knowledge which gave way to experiential learning.

The enthusiasm and earnest efforts of the participants were appreciated in the speech by the Middle Wing Leader, Ms. Suneeta Kaul.

Gandhi Jayanti Assembly

‘In the gentle pursuit of truth, we find the strength to shape a better world.’

To honour the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, and to instill in the young minds the timeless values and principles he promoted, the students of Grade III C and Grade I organised Special Assemblies on September 28 & 29, 2023 respectively to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti.

 The Grade I assembly began with the presentation of Gandhiji's favorite bhajans by the choir which set the tone for the assembly. Students shared a thought-provoking quote, emphasizing the significance of non-violence in our lives. It was followed by an engaging presentation on the life lessons of Gandhiji and Shastri Ji, demonstrating how their lives serve as exemplary models for achieving goals through truth, perseverance, and non-violence.

 The students of Grade III presented a wonderful poem on the essence of Gandhiji's teachings. A skit on the apostle of peace, accompanied by the soothing notes of 'Ramdhun,' transported the audience back in time. A melodious song and an enchanting dance performance dedicated to Gandhiji filled the air with a sense of patriotism and admiration.

 The highlight of the assembly was the introduction of the fourth monkey alongside the traditional three. It conveyed a valuable message to students to limit the use of the mobile phones.

 The School Leadership Team inspired students to adopt non-violence in their daily lives and contribute to a world filled with peace, compassion, and camaraderie.

Grandparents' Day Celebration

‘In the book of life, grandparents play a special chapter filled with love and wisdom.’

The campus of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells School was adorned with an aura of love and gratitude on September 30, 2023 as Grandparents' Day was celebrated to give a heartwarming tribute to the pillars of wisdom who hold a special place in our lives.

The event commenced with a warm welcome to all the grandparents followed by the auspicious Diya lighting and shloka chanting.  The presentation of Ganesh Vandana filled the atmosphere with divine blessings. The august gathering was given a warm welcome by Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, Principal of the school.

Brimming with gratitude and admiration, the students presented a melodious welcome song and a soul-stirring poem. It was followed by a captivating dance presentation on retro songs which brought an extra dose of energy and fun to the event. Various fun games were thoughtfully organised for the grandparents and it was a sight to behold seeing them participate with full vigour.

Madam Meenakshi Malhotra, Primary Wing Leader extended the Vote of Thanks and expressed deep gratitude to the grandparents, for gracing the event with their presence and making the celebration a resounding success.

Back to School Series

At Blue Bells, we firmly believe in the transformative power of a well-planned curriculum to shape students' learning experiences. We understand that nothing brings greater satisfaction to parents than witnessing the tangible outcomes of their child's education. In sync with this thought, ‘Back to School Series’ was organised to make the parents experience the joy of classroom learning which their wards enjoy every day. The event was planned under the inspirational leadership and guidance of Madam Soumya Gulati, Deputy Director (Academic Development & Innovation), Blue Bells Group of Schools for the parents of Classes Pre-Nursery and Nursery on September 22, 2023, and for Class KG on September 23, 2023. This event gave an opportunity for the parents to get an insight into the unique pedagogical practices and teaching methodologies that are well-planned by the L & D Team. 

The parents were apprised of multitudes of activities conducted in the class which help the learners develop and hone LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing), and Numeracy Skills. A session on ‘READ-O-PHONICS’ was organised to acquaint the parents of Class KG with the latest teaching-learning techniques and strategies adopted by the school to hone the language skills of the learners.

 Parents were engaged in several interactive and fun-filled activities and games and were pleasantly surprised to see the meticulous planning behind each activity. They thoroughly enjoyed playing well-thought-out games organised by Sports Team showcasing a transdisciplinary approach of blending sports activities with real-life learning & subjects.

 The parents were deeply impressed by the elaborate efforts and were full of admiration for the school.
