MOTHERS DAY CELEBRATED WITH UTMOST ZEST AND ZEALIN Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, SECTOR 10, GURGAON The history of the world is a history of its mothers. A mother is more to her child than any other being, human or divine, can ever be to him in his life. The sweetest sounds to the mortals are given in heart is that of the ‘Mother’. To express the gratitude to the divine bliss of God i.e. Mother, Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School celebrated Mother’s Day on May 9, 2015. It was the heartiest tribute to the unfathomed love, unconditional support and affection ushered by the mother to her child to make him a unique and splendid personality. The occasion was graced by Ms. Soumya Gulati, Assistant Director (Academic Development and Innovation) and Dr. Alka Saxena, Assistant Director (Health and Wellness), Blue Bells Group of Schools. The Programme was inaugurated by Madam Soumya Gulati. Various Presentations were organized to unearth the latent talents hibernating in each mother. Mothers actively participated in Best Out of Waste and Potted Plants activities. A well synchronized Cultural Programme was presented to honour the mothers where there was a perfect blend of poem recitation, music and dance performance. As a part of Health & Wellness Programme, under the initiative and guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Assistant Director (Health and Wellness), BBGS, the Adolescence and Life Skill Programme Club – ZEAL had been organizing various workshops for the parents on various important issues pertaining to the emotional, social and holistic growth of the students. In sync with this objective, a workshop on Gender Sensitivity was organized on the occasion of Mother’s Day. The Workshop was attended by the mothers and their spouses. It was rejuvenating to watch the fathers taking active part in the interactive discussions and activities which were the part of this invigorating workshop. The revered Principal of the school thanked all the mothers for sparing their valuable time and being a part of the festivity and also making the moment more momentous for all. She further stressed that mothers are the harbingers of a better tomorrow as they are the ones who nurture the buds to blossom into fruit bearing trees which will bring a collective good to the society and nation at large.

NATIONAL LEVEL CBSE SCIENCE EXHIBITION

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, Gurgaon, is a pioneer institution in the field of education. In an endeavor to showcase scientific skills and innovative creations, the school hosted the National Level CBSE Science Exhibition -2015 from April 23 to April 25, 2015. The theme for the same was ‘Science and Mathematics for a Sustainable World’. The Exhibition witnessed massive participation of students and teachers from all over India. It was a rare honor as Mr. R. P. Sharma, Advisor, CBSE & Dr. R. K. Sharma, Director, Solid State Physics Lab., DRDO graced the occasion of Opening and Closing Ceremony respectively as our honoured guests. Dr. Kshipra Verma, Chief Coordinator for the National Level Science Exhibition, Additional Director Educational Management and Curriculum Coordinator CBSE I , was the revered guest for the occasion.
Young minds showcased their scientific temper under seven sub- themes namely; Community Health and Environment, Landmarks in Science and Mathematics, Information and Communication Technology, Energy Resources and Conservation, Transport, Agriculture and Waste Management.  Around 284 schools from all over India participated in this mega event. Innovative and talented students exhibited their models. Eminent personalities from the field of education formulated the renowned jury to adjudge their scientific skills.
The students were provided a unique learning platform to exhibit their vision into reality. The efforts of students were lauded not only by revered guest and judges but also the school students who had come for the stall visit on the last day of the Exhibition. It was a great learning experience for all.
