CYBERNETICS- INTER SCHOOL IT FEST AT THE MAURYA

 Information Technology has become an effective medium to unleash ones innate potential and to articulate ones thoughts, feelings and emotions. An inter School IT Fest was organized at The Maurya School on December 12, 2015. The students expressed their ideas in an effective and highly relevant manner. The competition also provided them a unique platform to unravel their quest for knowledge in the IT Sector.

Blue Bellians proved their mettle by winning all the events which were a part of the competitions. The school team clinched First Position in Tux Paint, Dance, PowerPoint, Movie Maker, Street Play &  Symposium and Second Position in Pivot Animator &Third Position in Poster Making. The School lifted the Trophy for the Overall Winners of the Competition. The level of the competition was tough as renowned  schools of Gurgaon  participated in the event. The efforts of the students were applauded by the judges.

The Management, Director, Assistant Director (IT) and Principal of the school congratulated the students and teachers for the astounding feat.

3rd INTER SCHOOL PAINTING COMPETITION 2015

Creativity involves stepping into the realm of imagination on a flight of fancy and an act of aesthetic creation is not only a product of toil, sweat and tears, but is also born out of an intense desire to give concrete shape to one’s dream. To represent the various ideals, principles and ideologies of art, an imitation of life in the most  beautiful form , 3rd Inter School Painting Competition 2015 was organized on December 11, 2015 at Surtal (Open Air Theatre), Talkatora Garden, New Delhi . The students of more than thirty schools of Delhi and NCR participated with utmost zest and zeal.  The theme for the competition was –‘INDIA-ROAD TO RIO OLYMPICS 2015’.

Tiyasha Biswas (X B) clinched the Second Position and Raunak Yadav ( X B) bagged the Third Position in the Senior Category . In the Sub-junior Category, Armaan of Class VI was given a Consolation Prize for portraying his understanding of Road Safety.

International Summit on Adolescence Life Skills, Values Gender and School Well Being Summit-2015

Adolescence represents an inner emotional upheaval, a struggle between the eternal human wish to cling to the past and the equally powerful wish to get on with the future. During this age if the youngsters are directed in a right direction then they prove to be an asset to the society and nation at large.
 The Health & Wellness Programmed of the school under the guidance of Dr. Alka Saxena, Assistant Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, has been incessantly working to enlighten and empower the adolescents with righteous knowledge and conduct. In sync with the same mission, the students participated in various Life Skills Competitions in the International Summit on Adolescence Life Skills, Values Gender and School Well Being Summit-2015 at Summer Fields Schools, Kailash Colony , Delhi from December 9 to December 11, 2015. The Health & Wellness team of the school prepared the students for different competitions of the Summit organized by Expressions India, a CBSE Empanelled Agency for The National Life Skills, Value Education and School Wellness Programme. The school team  participated in all the five events of the Summit where more than 150 schools participated from India along with some international schools from abroad.
 Monal Bhardwaj bagged the Second Position in Utopia- On the Spot Poster Making Competition. The Second Position in Euphony- Create a Thematic Jingle was clinched by Kulwinder Kaur , Siddharth Shandilya and Chandrachur Sinha and the Quiz Team comprising of Kulwinder Kaur and Siddharth Shandilya reached the topmost level in WHIZ-QUIZ- The Adolescence Quiz and came Third in the competition . The level of the competition was high and the feat attained magnificent.
The Management, Director, Assistant Director ( Health & Wellness)  and Principal of the school extended their heartiest felicitations to achievers  and The Health & Wellness team , English Department, Hindi Department, Art Department  and Music Department for preparing the students  for this wonderful achievement.

18TH HEPATITIS DAY CELEBRATION

The Directorate of Family Welfare, Govt of NCT of Delhi and the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences jointly observed the 18th Hepatitis Day on December 4, 2015 at the institute premises in Vasant Kunj. The institute has been observing this day regularly since its inception eight years back. The aim is to bring focus on Viral Hepatitis, the silent killer that is reported to have infected more than 60 million people in India alone. Sh Satyendra Jain, Hon’ble Health Minister, Govt of NCT of Delhi, inaugurated the function, which saw participation from eminent dignitaries and senior officials from Delhi government.
On this occasion the institute organized various activities including a free liver screening camp where over 200 patients were screened free of cost and multiple activities for school children. This year saw participation from 30 schools and 300 children all over Delhi. More than 350 entries were received for the poster competition and more than 50 for poetry writing. Dr Shiv Sarin, Director ILBS informed that till date about 50,000 school children and 800 to 1000 school teachers have been touched through this campaign since its inception in 1998.
Under the aegis of the Health & Wellness Programme of the school, the students participated in the Poster Making and Self Composed Poetry Writing & Recitation Competition to mark the significance of the day on December4, 2015. It was a proud moment when both the poetic representations of the school were appreciated by the renowned panel of jury and the students were awarded Consolation-cum- Appreciation Certificate for composing and reciting the poems on Organ Donation.

IRC ZONAL COMPETITION

The education system should instill in the minds of the students capacities to inquiry, creativity, technology, entrepreneurial and moral leadership.

With the mission of providing holistic education, the students of the school participate in various competitions with utmost zeal and enthusiasm. The students of the Robotics Club participated in the IRC Zonal  Competition at The Heritage School, Gurgaon on November 21, 2015.
A total of ten teams participated in the Junior, Middle and Senior Level. In the Senior Level of the Competition,  the Team –Blue Bot comprising of Karitkey. Bhavika, Jaiditya and Parth bagged Second Position and other team from the school-Robo R1 clinched the Third Position. The team members of Robo R1 were Yashawi, Navarun, Aakarshak and Gurnash. The teams have qualified for the Nationals.

INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION – FEST-A-FIESTA

Creative people make pursuit of knowledge their priority; they see the things differently and put in their intellect to give rise to a master product. With the aim of honing inherent talents in the students, the school participates in various competitions.
An Inter school competition was held in Blue Bells Preparatory School, Sector-4, Gurgaon on 21st Nov, 2015. The students of class UKG i.e. Ashlesha Goel and Samya Sharma won third prize in event Clay Play….The participants were supposed to make a clay model.

MI – ME – AN INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION ON MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE

Howard Gardener wrote,” Knowledge is not the same as morality, but we need to understand if we are to avoid mistakes and move in productive directions.  An important part of that understanding is knowing who we are and what we can do… Ultimately, we must synthesize our understandings for ourselves.” This is what is referred to as Multiple Intelligence, a path breaking concept of holistic learning by Professor Howard Gardener. To stimulate this inherent reservoir of talent in the students, the school participated in ‘MI-ME’, an Inter School Multiple Intelligence Competition on November 20, 2015 at Suncity World School. The school team comprising of four students competed in various competitions to mark the multiple intelligence theory like Extempore, Appreciation of Art, Social Science Quiz, Appreciation of Music and Obstacle Race. Nishant Singh Hada bagged the Third Prize in the Competition in Group I category.

IGNITIA – MATHS AND SCIENCE COMPETITION

Victory is our motto, winning is our habit whatever we desire, we accomplish, we achieve.  With this basic guiding principle our students participate in all the competitions. The students not only prove their mettle but also act as tough competitors to the other participants. Continuing with the glorious tradition, the students participated in IGNITIA 2015, an Inter School Mathematics and Science Competition at  Amity International School, Sector 46 on November 5 & 6,  2015. Around twenty five renowned schools from Gurgaon participated in the competition. The students were required to design their projects using the practical application of the concepts learnt in the class. The Robotronics Project designed by Aakarshak & Gauransh of Class XI A helped them to clinch the Second Position in the Competition.
The Management, Director & Principal of the school extended their felicitations to the winners for achieving this astounding feat as the level of the competition was tough and all exhibited projects were a live example of creativity and innovation in the students today.

CBSE VOLLEY BALL CLUSTER TOURNAMENT

At Blue Bells, the  child centered curriculum  is followed that views each child as a gem who needs to be polished. Each child has a potential for noble deeds, high aspirations and meaningful services to others. We strive to nurture and encourage the capacity for noble deeds in children and youth as powerful means for developing lasting positive character qualities and building healthy vibrant individuals through Yoga education. This is also achieved by adopting a curriculum design which is also spiritual in nature and providing a platform where the students can hone their skills to the optimum.
The students participated in CBSE VOLLEY BALL CLUSTER TOURNAMENT 2015 from October 19 to 22, 2015 in Sri Krishna School, Mohendergarh. The Girls Under 19 Team created history by registering Second Position in the Cluster . The entire team got selected for the CBSE Nationals in Andhra Pradesh from December 9 to 13, 2015.
The Management, Director , Principal of the school congratulated the school Volley Ball Team for this stupendous achievement and wished them all the luck for the Nationals.

Ignited minds are the most powerful resource compared to any resource on the earth.  Technological advancements in the world have been possible due to innovative thinking, original concepts, original ideas and a broad vision.  The school participated in Cybermania- IT Fest at BBMS on October 10, 2015, to provide a unique learning platform to the students to hone their tech skills. The students not only competed but also proved their mettle in the competition which was a beehive of science and technological activity wherein the students of renowned schools of Gurgaon participated with utmost competitive spirit.
 The school team bagged First Position in  Dance , Flash,  Robo Race- Juniors as well as Seniors, Collage Making , Debate- Against The Motion  ,  Second Position in Debate- For The Motion and Third Position in App Making & Model Making. The school team defended and  lifted the coveted Overall Winners Trophy of the Competition which was clinched by them last year also .
