Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School  HONOURED WITH THE PRESTIGIOUS BRITISH COUNCIL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL AWARD

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School , Sector 10, Gurugram was honoured with  the prestigious British Council International School Award for the period 2017-2020  in a Formal Award  Ceremony held on December 13, 2017 at The British Council , New Delhi. The award was received by Ms Anshuka Aneja , Deputy Director –IT, BBGS  and Ms. Arpita Acharya ,  ISA Coordinator  in the august gathering of eminent scholars.  The Award recognized and celebrated finest practice of internationalism adopted by the school.

Under the ISA initiative, the school collaborated with partner schools from different countries like Japan , Ghana , Guinea and Sri Lanka. It was a wonderful learning experience as the students could mutually exchange knowledge and views on different global issues using  Skype sessions, British Council Connecting Classroom’s Project Spaces, designing websites, e-mails, blogs etc.

To acquaint the learners of today, who are inquisitive and continuously strive to learn new skills, project based learning strategy was adopted . This encouraged collaborative work which further honed their higher order thinking skills. The students were involved in the collaborative projects with the partner schools and found a unique opportunity to unleash their innate potential. They were able to think creatively, examine global issues objectively and found themselves to be more aware. They were empowered to share the knowledge with their peers to create a cohesive environment for humanity to thrive and promote mutual growth.

The school witnessed a colourful bonanza of activities covering multiple disciplines like Social Science (Sustainable Development: A Sustained Solution) collaborated With Japan, English (LITERATURE : A MIRROR  OF LIFE)  collaborated with Sri Lanka, Mathematics- Global Warming  : A Global Warning with Ghana, Art (Upcycle Trends Through Tribal Art) Collaborated with Guniea. The in-house projects were- Environmental Studies (Confidering Cultural Diversity), Computer Science (A Green IT Revolution is the Only Solution) and Science (Finite Planet with Infinite Humans).

The entire ISA experience was a beautiful reminder of the fact that education and knowledge know no boundaries, and the world has, in fact, become a global village.

CROWNIGN GLORY FOR Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School AT THE INTERNATIONAL ADOLESCENT SUMMIT 2017 ON LIFE SKILLS, VALUES, GENDER & SCHOOL WELLBEING

Health & Wellness education helps in creating a strong positive powered force of citizens who in the coming future will contribute effectively to the society. It facilitates character building and preserves the values of society. The Health & Wellness Programme of the school, initiated and mentored by Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS, has been incessantly working to empower the adolescents with knowledge, skills and values. In sync with the same mission, the students participated in various Competitions in THE INTERNATIONAL ADOLESCENT SUMMIT 2017 ON LIFE SKILLS, VALUES, GENDER & SCHOOL WELLBEING at India Islamic Cultural Center from December 11 to 13, 2017.  His Excellency, Shri. Pranab Mukerjee, former President of India graced the Opening Ceremony of the Summit as the Chief Guest.

The Health & Wellness team of the school prepared the students for different competitions of the Summit organized by Expressions India, a CBSE Empanelled Agency. The school team comprising of the students Classes X to XII participated in all the five events- Jingle Making, Rhetorics (Elocution), Solo Singing (Indian Classical), Solo Dance (Contemporary) and Poster Making. The competition was tough and prestigious as more than 100 schools from India and abroad participated in the Summit.

It was a moment of immense pleasure and pride when Kshitij Kumar bagged the coveted Exemplary Award (First Prize) in Sur Sangam - Solo Singing Competition. He was heartily appreciated by the judges and the audience for his exemplary command on the musical notes that created a riveting symphony which left everyone spellbound.

Adding to the glory was the achievement of Shubha Gupta, Literary Secretary of the school. Her oratorical skills with perfect diction and expression wowed the judges and she performed extraordinarily and clinched a Special Jury Award (Third Prize) in Rhetorics – Young Orators Championship for her presentation.

An informative and creative Stall put up by the students as a part of Global Health Exhibition displaying the work done by the Health & Wellness Club  on “IMPACT OF PEER PRESSURE” was highly appreciated by the judges and visiting schools. Shubha Gupta was selected as a Minister in the Youth Parliament and played an important role in formulating a Charter for skills building, safety and wellbeing to facilitate the Adolescent Leadership Skills for the Nation. This charter would be further shared with CBSE and NCERT for proper planning and execution in the school Curriculum.

SURUCHI KALA ACADEMY MUSIC COMPETITION

The melodious voice of Chandrachur Sinha , Class XI of Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School  enthralled and mesmerized the judges and audience at the Suruchi Kala Academy Music Competition at CCA School, Sector 4, Gurugram on December 9, 2017 .

Chandrachur clinched the  First position in Patriotic Song Competition , bagged Third Position in Sufi Song and again Third position in Folk Song Singing Competition. Chandrachur was declared as "Sur Kumar". The music notes and the eternal emotions exhibited by him were heartily appreciated among the best singers from renowned schools of Gurugram.

Adding glory to the accomplishment was the moment when Chandrachur received the award in a glittering ceremony from an iconoclast, a pioneer in the field of education , our Guru and mentor , Dr. Saroj Suman Gulati, esteemed Director , BBGS on December 10,2017.

POTPOURRI 2017 – AN  INTER SCHOOL COMPETITION AT DPS, SUSHANT LOK

The creative little hands brought accolades to school by winning prizes in an Inter School Art Competition –“Potpourri-2017” held at Delhi Public School, Sushant-Lok Phase 1 on December 08, 2017. Ashvi Gupta of UKG Rose bagged Second  Prize in “Decoracion” - Decorative Bird House.   Aayushi Dhawan & Purva Yadav both from Class II A bagged Third Prize in “Papiroflexia” –Origami Art.

The School Management and Principal Ms Anjali Nagpal congratulated the winners and presented them the winning trophies and certificates.

IRC WILD CARD QUALIFIER AT KULACHI HANSRAJ MODEL SCHOOL , NEW DELHI

Creativity involves stepping into the realm of imagination on a flight of fancy and an act of aesthetic creation is not only a product of toil, sweat and tears, but is also born out of an intense desire to give concrete shape to one’s dream. To represent the various ideals, principles and ideologies of Robotics technology , the students of the Robotics Club participated in the Wild Card Qualifier of the IRC School League on December 5, 2017 at Kulachi Hansraj Model School, Ashok Vihar, New Delhi .

It was a proud moment when the  Junior Robotics Team The Black Dragon comprising of Hardik, Neel, Vinay & Siddhant bagged the Bronze Medal and qualified for IRC National . The students would join the three  Junior Teams – The Chimi Changas ( Aakash, Nikunj , Aryan Kalia and Chirag Singh) , The Furious Four ( Kunal, Kehav, Mudit Ahlawat and Vaibhav Mangla ) and IRC Champs ( Zayna, Anetra Shubhdeep and Sushant) who  have qualified for the IRC Nationals at Thyagraj Stadium , New Delhi on December 16, 2017.

NCR  GIRLS FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2017

“The harder the battle , the Sweeter is the Victory as what counts in sports is not the victory but the struggle to achieve your set targets and emerging as a winner…”

We at Blue Bells recognize the need and importance of games and sports activities for the all round personality development of a student. “SPORTS IS A WAY OF LIFE” is our aim.  A variety of games and sports facilities based on the need and interest of the students are provided for their holistic development. 

In sync with the same  , the  Under 12 Yrs. Girls Football Team participated in the NCR Inter School Football Tournament held at Bal Bharti School Pusa Road, New Delhi on December 5 & 6, 2017  organised by Nirmana (An NGO established as a tribute to Nirbhaya) & All India Football Federation. A number of renowned  teams  from Delhi & NCR participated in the tournament. The agility of our skilled team wowed the spectators . The team performed  well and gave a tough competition to other teams and clinched the Third Positon in the Tournament .

NIE COLOUR SPLASH - INTER SCHOOL PAINTING COMPETITION BY TIMES NIE

“Art imitates life and the unspoken language of colours can create an astounding effect.”

To recreate the magic splash of colours that can paint the canvas of life with vibrant forms, the students of the school participated in Times NIE Colour Splash - an Inter School Painting Competition at Greenwood School, Sector 9, Gurugram on December 1, 2017 . Shubhodeep of Class V used his  vivid imagination and created magnificent image to show their concern on issues related to conservation of resources on earth like ‘Less Pollution Is The Best Solution’. The level of the competition was high as many students from renowned schools of Gurugram competed in the Competition.

 The Management, Director and Principal extended their heartfelt felicitations to the student and Art Faculty for this remarkable success.

SPEAKER OF THE YEAR – BEST IDEA FOR BHARAT POSITIVE CONTEST

Ideas can change the World and it was a moment of pride for Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School, when the ideas of two of our students were adjudged as the best by Maverick Ventures for Speaker of the Year Contest 2017 as a part of their campaign- BHARAT POSITIVE.

Shubha Gupta of Class XII C and Pari Chauhan of Class VIII C were invited to record a Radio Bite with RJ Eddy of Radio 104.5 FM for his show - Dilli Ke  Dabang on November 7 , 2017 .

Shubha Gupta recorded the bite in the school with the RJ and it was aired at 11.00 a.m in the morning. Pari Chauhan recorded her bite at 4.00 p.m.  The recordings were aired on Radio 104.5FM on the same day.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School PERFROMED BRILLIANTLY AT MI-ME MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE FES

 As Howard Gardner famously said, “It’s not how smart you are, it is how you are smart!”

At Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School we believe in giving opportunities to the students  to explore their potential and in the process they learn about their own skills and intelligences. In sync with the mission of providing a platform to the students to practically apply the skills of Multiple Intelligences, the school not only participated but also registered its remarkable presence in MI-ME Multiple Intelligence Fest at Suncity World School by clinching First Prize in Rhapsody and Third Prize in Ace Category Group 1&3 on November 24, 2017 . 

Dhanvie Misra was adjudged as the best candidate in Rhapsody ( Music &IT ) in the Individual Category and got the First Prize. In the Ace Category where the group had to compete in four Competitions – Making Connections, Art to Astound, Jingle With Mingle -Rhapsody & Against All Odds-Kinesthetic  ,  Chandrachur Sinha & Sayantika Biswas ( Group 1- Classes X & XI ) and Adwiti & Manan ( Group 3- Classes VI & VII) bagged the Third Prize respectively.

The efforts of our QCC Case Study team comprising of Kartikey Gulia, Aishani Debnath, Shristi Punia, Arpan Mohanty  and Deepak Verna were lauded by all. The students brought into light the problem of Refugee Migration in Syria and Bangladesh and suggested ways which can be adopted to combat this malignant issue which is a threat to nation’s economy and world peace.
