International Conference on Global Leadership and Sustainable Future

Braahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School hosted the Philippines and other countries in an "International Conference on Global Leadership and Sustainable Future" on October 25 and 26, 2024.

Mahi and Mannat from Grade XI of the school participated to express their perspectives on the themes of global leadership and sustainability. The event served as a live international platform, facilitating collaboration and discussion among participants from several countries, including India, Croatia, Romania, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and the Philippines. Key topics explored included "Daily Consumption of Processed Canned Foods among Students: Unveiling the Hidden Health Risks," "The Role of School Administrators in Implementing Climate Action Initiatives," and "Metrics of Success: Evaluating the Impact of Green Leadership," among others.

Dr. Dary E. Dacanay, Director -Academics at St. Patrick School Inc., and Professor at Manuel L. Quezon University, praised the students for actively engaging with peers from diverse nations on crucial issues of leadership and sustainability. The discussions delved into global leadership concepts, emphasizing the need for leaders with an international perspective to foster cooperation and address shared challenges. Such leadership is vital in advancing a sustainable future by promoting policies that uphold environmental well-being, social equity, and economic resilience.

The enriching conference experience offered valuable insights to the students, exposing them to real-world examples of global leadership, such as international collaborations on climate change, human rights advocacy, and sustainable economic development. This exposure has equipped them to be future global leaders with a profound understanding of sustainable practices on a worldwide level.

Grade I students visited the Biodiversity Park on October 28, 2024, as part of their environmental studies curriculum.

 The young learners were captivated by the vibrant hues and distinctive forms of the diverse flora they encountered, enhancing their awareness of biodiversity and the significance of its conservation. They also enjoyed playful activities such as hide-and-seek and tug-of-war with their peers, sharing wholesome snacks afterward. The excursion left them with treasured memories and sparked a deeper admiration for the natural world, fostering a lifelong sense of curiosity and awe.

On October 28, 2024, Grade II students visited the local fire station as part of their Environmental Studies curriculum.

The firefighters imparted essential knowledge about fire safety and showcased the tools and methods employed to combat fires. They introduced various types of fire extinguishers and conducted a live demonstration of the water hoses in action. This engaging experience offered the young learners’ practical insights into fire safety and emphasized the crucial responsibilities of firefighters, making a significant impact on the student’s understanding and appreciation of this vital profession.

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School students participated in a community outreach initiative in honour of the school's Foundation Day. This program was designed to nurture a spirit of empathy, kindness, and social awareness among the students by supporting those in need.

The students visited several NGOs and orphanages within the city, distributing essential groceries, food items, and school supplies to more than 200 people. The items were thoughtfully chosen to address the specific requirements of the organizations. During their visits, the students interacted with the recipients, listened to their stories, and shared uplifting moments.

The outreach initiative's core aim was to instill values of compassion, responsibility, and empathy. By taking part in this endeavour, students not only enhanced their teamwork and leadership abilities but also strengthened their commitment to community service and civic responsibility.

 UKG Students Explore Nature at Osho Vatika! On October 22, 2024, the young explorers of Class UKG embarked on an educational field trip to Osho Vatika in Palam Vihar. This visit offered them a wonderful chance to connect with nature and discover an array of diverse plants, trees, and vibrant flowers.

With eager curiosity, the students explored the garden, discussing the variety of plants around them. The unique shapes and sizes of the pots also sparked their imagination. They not only observed the beauty of nature but also learned valuable lessons about the crucial role plants play in sustaining a healthy environment and the importance of preserving trees.

It was a truly enriching experience, leaving them inspired and eager to learn more about the wonders of the natural world!

Nursery & LKG Students Explore and Learn at Tau Devi Lal Park! On October 22, 2024, an enriching educational trip to Tau Devi Lal Park was organized for the students of Nursery and LKG. As they strolled through the park, the children were captivated by the well-organized sections featuring a variety of plants, trees, and vibrant flowers amidst lush green surroundings.

The young learners used their five senses to explore and experience nature up close, deepening their understanding of its beauty and health benefits. The visit not only introduced them to different plants and trees but also instilled a sense of appreciation for the natural world.

A delightful highlight of the trip was their time at the playground, where they enjoyed swings and slides, promoting physical and social growth. It was a day filled with joyful exploration and valuable learning!

Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School proudly celebrated its 24th Foundation Day on October 25, 2024, a momentous occasion in the school's journey. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty members. 

The festivities commenced with a serene Hawan ceremony in the school’s Atrium, where prayers were offered for the institution’s continued growth and success. This sacred ritual fostered unity, as students and teachers gathered to seek divine blessings for the school’s flourishing future. 

 Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, the esteemed Principal, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the visionaries who laid the groundwork for the institution. He extended warm wishes to everyone present, emphasizing the significance of this milestone. The students also shared their reflections, speaking passionately about the school's profound influence on their lives. 

Various activities were organized to promote creativity and active participation, including Gratitude Note Writing, Poetry Composition, and Inter-House Sports Competitions. These initiatives provided students with a platform to express their emotions and aspirations for their alma mater, demonstrating their deep-rooted connection to the school. The high level of enthusiasm and engagement displayed by the students underscored their dedication to the school's core values and traditions. 

The day was a harmonious blend of spirituality, creativity, and introspection, reaffirming the school’s commitment to delivering holistic education and nurturing strong values in its students. Brahm Dutt Blue Bells Public School celebrated United Nations Day with a special assembly conducted by Class VII students. The assembly commenced with an introduction to the UN's history and objectives. A captivating skit highlighted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), emphasizing global cooperation and collective action. A vibrant dance presentation showcased unity in diversity, promoting cultural exchange and understanding.

Students delivered insightful presentations on India's significant contributions to the UN, including peacekeeping missions, climate action initiatives, and sustainable development projects. The assembly underscored the UN's pivotal role in maintaining global peace and security. Principal Sir Dr. Trilok Singh Bist applauded the students' efforts and encouraged them to become responsible global citizens.

The assembly successfully instilled in students an awareness and appreciation for the UN's mission, fostering a sense of global responsibility and citizenship.

At Blue Bells, our approach to education focuses on nurturing attributes in our students: a solid foundation and the confidence to pursue their aspirations, enabling them to grow into self-reliant individuals. We aim to extend learning beyond the confines of the classroom, inspiring students to connect their academic knowledge with real-world experiences.

In furtherance of this vision, the school organized a Career Awareness & Stream Selection Session on October 19, 2024, under the aegis of Adept—A Program for Enhancing Life Skills, powered by Wellnesswise.in and spearheaded by our visionary mentor, Dr. Alka Saxena, Deputy Director (Health & Wellness), BBGS. This event was designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed decisions about their stream, career, and life choices.

Esteemed mentor and career consultant Mr. Binit Kumar Binod guided the session, illuminating a wide array of emerging career paths across science, commerce, and humanities. He also introduced students to innovative vocational and skill-based options beyond traditional streams, encouraging them to choose paths that resonate with their talents and passions. Mr. Binod emphasized the importance of avoiding comparison, herd mentality, expectations, and social status when selecting a stream. Instead, students should choose courses that offer not only degrees but also employability skills, based on their interests, aptitude, and personality—not merely because a relative suggested it or because it's available at a reputable college or university.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Trilok Singh Bist, Principal, BDBBPS, emphasized the significance of Career Awareness and Stream Selection Sessions in providing students with the clarity needed to make well-informed and appropriate decisions.

The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer round, where students' queries regarding their career paths were addressed. The enthusiastic participation of both students and parents made the event a resounding success.

DUSSEHRA CELEBRATION AT BDBBPS

 The students of Classes Nursery and LKG at our school hosted a special assembly to honour Dussehra on October 9, 2024, celebrating the triumph of truth and courage. The event began with a vibrant enactment of the Ramayana, where the young students skillfully depicted the characters of Lord Rama, Laxman, and Sita. The storytelling was brought to life with heartfelt bhajans, a beautifully recited poem, and lively dance performances, captivating everyone present.

 In a special assembly, led by the students of Radha Krishnan House (Classes III-V), the focus shifted to the profound symbolism of Navratri, highlighting the nine divine forms of Goddess Durga. The event featured a rhythmic poem celebrating the festival's spirit, a soul-stirring bhajan sung by the choir in devotion to Lord Rama, and a lyrical mime performance illustrating the values of compassion, integrity, and righteousness from the Ramayana. The assembly concluded with a burst of energy as students and teachers came together for a lively dandiya dance, filling the atmosphere with joy and unity.

 The School Leadership Team praised the students for their dedication and creativity, encouraging them to continue spreading positivity and making a difference through their actions, choices, and the values they carry forward into the world.
