It has been rightly said ‘No one is a born genius,’ what is required is the competency to recognize your true potential, the passion to challenge your own challenges and dedicated perseverance in pursuance of your goals. It is when such inherent capabilities culminate, that geniuses are created. To quote the words of Mark Twain, “If everyone was satisfied with themselves, there would be no heroes.” So dear children discontentment with one’s self is not always a negative feeling, rather it can be the greatest motivation to keep moving forward and becoming a better version of yourself. The key is to maintain your focus and have faith in your strengths.
With the advent of the new session, as you embark on life’s journey ahead, my only submission to you is to stand steadfast to your school motto, ‘Be Honest, Be Brave’ because it is only when you honestly analyze deep down the mistakes you made in the past and see your failures as stepping stones, will you be able to muster the courage to consistently work towards improvement and convert every failure into an opportunity to grow and be successful in life. What is ardently required is a vision and the grit to excel in life. Unfortunately, we easily get deterred by our insecurities and wavering mindset and thus we are not able to muster the desired courage to achieve our goals. However, the moment we submit ourselves to our vision, success naturally ensues. It flows as the unintended by-product of effective efforts concentrated in the direction of a worthy purpose.
The almanac of the school gives you an overall view of the scholastic and co-scholastic planning of the school which can help you in planning your own annual calendar and empower you to work on your scholastic and co-scholastic improvement. Gone are the days when education was about ‘received wisdom’; the future is about ‘user-generated wisdom’. It is therefore imperatively desired that the students of today learn to take the onus of their learning. The future belongs to self-motivated learners with clarity of thought and action. So dear children, believe in effective planning and take the reigns of your life in your own hands. It is only when you yourself become the ‘Saarthi’ of your goal driven chariot that you will be able to find your self-directed path and find contentment and satisfaction of a well lived life. So ‘Keep Moving Forward’ with commitment and conviction and success will be all yours.
